    I had the same issue with a Dagger frame and kinetitech complete slide and trigger. I polished all the contact points, especially along the rails where I could see heavy contact. It was all good after that. I think some fitting work is expected with custom guns.

      I agree, I make sure to polish all the parts before installing. My issue was the overwatch precision connector was out of spec. After swapping it out with an oem connector it was good to go. Thanks for watching!

    I like the Apex safety plungers. I've had this issue with P80 builds. In my experience it was just polishing and connector. Regardless, I know you'll get it straightened out. Love the look of that build!

  • @wadewilson524

    Glock puts copper moly lube on the slide rails from the factory. They recommend you leave it there for break-in and let it wear off with use. (don't clean off the moly lube). It is the same copper anti-seize lube you can get at any car parts store. Most "clone" slides and frames ship dry. The best thing to do is add a very small amount of the copper moly lube to the slide rails like Glock does for initial break-in/lapping. Very light coating (one drop for the entire thing) of oil on the outside of the entire barrel and lugs. Tiny amount of oil on the connector. No oil anywhere near the firing pin. This should solve most of these issues.

  • @CrystalLakeLegacy
    @CrystalLakeLegacy Год назад +4

    Anytime I had this issue on older builds I would put oil all around on the bottom of the lugs of the barrel and it would fix it… maybe I just kept getting lucky🤷🏻‍♂️

      A little extras polishing and changing out the connector did the fix for me.

    Recoil spring is your issue.
    It’s dragging on the guide rod. I can hear it when you rack the slide. Mine is smooth as butter.

    Check the sides of the rails. The two scts I’ve messed with were wider than oem that caused binding on slides. Also double check the birds head on the trigger bar isn’t riding on the underside of three slide, both of mine did and need clearancing.

    It's not your rail. Could be your trigger...the shark fin is hanging up on your safety plunger. Take some 600 and 800 grit and sand the fin ever so slightly until it doesnt hang up then polish the fin. Had the exact same issue. If you ride the slide back into battery slowly and look in the chamber you can see where it hangs up.

    Had a problem with a recoil spring that also caused the slide to not want to go into battery all the way. After trouble-shooting for a while and testing each thing it could be, I finally realized that the recoil spring was getting hung up on the polymer guide rod. When I tried a polished steel guide rod it stopped happening. I know it's unlikely to be your problem too, but just a thought for anyone else having a similar problem to consider.

    • @tacticaltrashpanda

  • @alishmaalexander7339
    @alishmaalexander7339 Год назад +2

    It’s the shark fin on the trigger bar. May need to take the fin down a bit. Also is ur trigger shoe plastic? Examine how the back of the shoe, forces the bar up ( when u hold the trigger back) and the fin touches the slide by the breach face before it get to the fire pin safety plunger. In short file the slope of the fin down some.

    • @tacticaltrashpanda
      @tacticaltrashpanda  Год назад +1

      That was one of my initial thoughts as well but it ended up being the bend angle on the connector rubbing the slide too much.

    • @alishmaalexander7339
      @alishmaalexander7339 Год назад

      Interesting, because the way it seemed to occur was when you held the trigger rearward. And would go back into battery when released. Glad you’ve resolved it.
      Pls share some more sct frame stuff. I just received a Marconi mag well. Fits well not like a steel city arsenal on a……, but with some frame mods( ie dremel tool) will be very adequate. Don’t really want to dremel mine but would like to talk about it.
      Great stuff bro.
      Give my regards to MGB

  • @wilkaiba
    @wilkaiba 6 месяцев назад +1

    I think it has something to do with the trigger safety and plunger. Happens on psa daggers when holding the trigger and racking the slide. I believe the recoil spring and firng a live round has better success pushing back into battery. However i did still have issues.

    One, sounds like it needs to be broke in. Also, get a titanium plunger with lighter spring.
    Compare your Glock to others. Take mag out and empty chamber. Cocktail it, dry fire and don't let the trigger go. With trigger still depressed slowly cycle slide. Compare how it feels to other Glocks. Also do this without holding trigger down. Does your unlocking from battery, then cocking the hammer feel rougher or heavier then other Glocks?
    Check the recoil spring/guide rod. Make sure it isn't moving side to side/slightly off its cut mount. Harder to diagnose.
    Something I always wanted to do but never did, was take engine honing oil like for new cars, and use it to smooth rails and slide together.
