      What's up? Lexus, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, new Chevy blazer, and Audi. Those are more expensive. Are those the ones you are comparing it too? These muranos depreciate quick. You should buy it at the closeout. That's how you bargain shop and still look like you spent some dough.

    Great video guys. I'm thinking about swapping out a 2016 Murano with the 2019 and wanted to see what if anything changed. You guys answered all my questions. Perhaps the only thing I would have changed was placing an older model side by side to more easily track the changes. As I was watching I thought to myself, you guys are the Siskel and Ebert of car reviews. Then I thought, no one under 30 years old knows who Siskel and Ebert are so let's just say the comparison is a compliment.

    Nice objective review. I purchased a 2019 blue Murano Platinum trim. Did lots of research. Was set on the Murano since it was the best bang for the buck. Bought on clearance for a 20% discount which sweetened the deal. Since they are in less demand, you can really bargain. Added a 6 year 100,000 mile comprehensive warranty so I’m worry free. There’s no such thing as a cheap repair so I felt it was money well spent given the discount I got. I have owned two Nissan Sentras and a Nissan Altima and they were all good reliable cars. Absolutely love the Murano. Just a unique and stylish design. I think the wheels are the best looking out of any SUV. Seats and ride are very comfortable. You don’t buy the Murano for towing or off-roading. Is designed for street. Lower ground clearance than its competitors makes entry and exit easy, but you still enjoy the feel and safety of a bigger vehicle with sitting high but still great road manners. Quiet cabin. My wife is super picky and she loves this vehicle. Infiniti like experience for almost half the price. Plus there are not a lot of them out there so you stand out. Very happy so far.

      I just got a 2020 Platinum - love it. Cross-shopped with the RDX, Edge, RX350, Sante Fe, Outback - and the Murano was my favorite, it was a bonus the incentives were so great. I can't stand the giant ipad like screens they throw on top of the dash of so many cars these days, or the all digital display like the Outback. I'm sure everything is going that way, but I'm just not a fan. Murano has a nice balance.

    • @seanperrin8175
      @seanperrin8175 4 года назад +1

      Dave V ditto Dave. I looked at RX350 and Acura RDX, but just couldn’t justify spending 10-20,000 more. Murano doesn’t have the name recognition or panache of the luxury brands, but it’s far and away the best value out there. Even a decent used RX was more than a new Murano.

    Thanks for the review. Very informative! I had a 1986 buick Lesabre and a 1996 Ford Thunderbird before I moved to Nissan. I have owned a 2001 Pathfinder, 2004 Pathfinder, 2007 Xterra, 2013 Pathfinder, 2016 Murano. None of my nissan's had any major mechanical problems....a lot of recalls, but no mechanical problems. Now my sister has a 2017 Altima that had to have the transmission replaced at 13,000 miles, which was insane! Of all of my nissans, I absolutely loved my 2013 Pathfinder and I love my 2016 Murano. Now my lease is up this yr and I am looking at the 2019 Maxima or Murano. Choices, choices :)

    I own a 2011 Murano which I love. The interior (especially the infotainment unit) on this refreshed 2019 model looks quite dated appearing mostly unchanged from the 2015 model. Plus, I don’t understand Nissan’s decision to limit the radar cruise control and lane keep assist to the higher trims. Those features come standard on all 2019 Honda Civics which start under $20k.

  • @virkelie2

    At 13min 15sec you mention that for 2019, the Murano does not have integrated navigation on the S and SV trims; integrated navigation is only offered with the SL and Platinum trims.
    I was thinking of getting a Murano SV (I absolutely don't want leather seats, which is obligatory with the SL and Platinum trims). But no integrated navigation would be a deal breaker for me.
    Are you certain the S and SV trims don't have integrated navigation - because that would be going back in time for Nissan?

    • @CarConfections
      @CarConfections  5 лет назад +1

      Unfortunately that is the case. Nissan upgraded the navigation maps to their newest version this year, but they eliminated it from S and SV as standard equipment or optional. For the lower trims you can still use Apple or Google Maps through your phone though

    I would upgrade to this one this year but i have second thoughts because of the faulty transmission issues nissan has 😔 looks way better then the lexus rx 350 but i might just wait for the new 2020 lexus supposedly they are going to have apple play... NISSAN work on perfecting the transmission so i can go back buying vehicles from your brand

    Checked a Murano out. Seats are amazing. Two issues for me, steering wheel is old looking. Buttons are in strange places for your fingers. Also the gear shift is old school feeling no and looking. Need an up to date electronic shifter.

      Ruday I have a 2003 Nissan Murano with 121K miles. Any periodic repairs are affordable. I did replace the transmission three years ago, but that’s because I damaged it by putting in the wrong fluid based on a wrong recommendation. I will be buying another Murano in another 100K miles, if I absolutely need to. But it’s been wonderful so far!

    Nissan cars are nice and all. But there’s something just off about them. When you sit in one and really drive one you will feel that they handle safely but just don’t feel that there’s really much driving pleasure. Everything in the car every trim piece and every tech feature just feel like Nissan is just finishing the homework but not excelling at it. All the features are there, but they feel weird when you actually start using them day to day.
    I’ve rented a lot of Nissan’s on business trips they just do not feel as nice as the odd Honda’s or Mazda’s I get sometimes. The only type of vehicles that feel more cheaply built are FCA cars. But the 300 and the Charger beat Nissan in driving pleasure since they are rwd.
    Nissan’s cost cutting practices might just ruin the future of the organization.

    No auto start stop is the number one reason that brought me to look at and no have decided to get a Murano. Almost other brands allow you to turn it off by a button but it has to be done each time u get in the car. Ridiculous!!!! I want to turn my car on and go, I decide when it turns off!!!! I hope Nissan keeps this feature off future cars.

    I would have bought one tell I found out it had a CTV transmission. Junk transmission. Back up camera is low resolution and it doesn't have a caples gas filler.
