Just finished a four day 1800 mile road trip. At 85 mph - the Rogue is rock solid and a pleasure to drive. Drove 12 hours one day - driver fatigue not a factor. Decent gas mileage, and very comfortable seats. I've had about 25 cars in my life - this is one is a winner. Really good product at a decent price.
Great review!! I agree the distinct style of the Rogue is appealing to so many people. That's probably one of the reasons they have sold half a million of them for 2019. I don't understand why some people knock the drivability of the CVT. The CVT makes the car zip and zoom all around with a really peppy and sporty feel. At the end of the day, there are fanboys and fangirls for each brand of car. I like all brands. If a vehicle is good then it doesn't matter what company made it.
I like the CVT... the 2019 model seems to perform better also(better than 2016 model) and the “shift it yourself option” really is nice when you need that extra performance !!
Of course Toyota fan girls are gonna say other wise about Nissan, the sales on the Rogue are phenomenal, they out sold the Toyota Rav 4’s for a while now
The best thing about this Nissan is its just get up and go car. Control are easy, climate control are all button so are the heated seats. Its parts and services are very cheap, the engine is very easy to work on. Ya it look cheap from inside and not so good looking but its a practical vehicle.
I've been looking at the 2016 used Rogues and I really like the layout but all this talk about oh it's gonna crap out at 60k and such. I really don't want to buy something that will cost me due to a crap cvt. Most of the ones i'm looking at have 20-30k miles already. That other car I like is the Mazda CX5. But I like the tech the Rogue has, 360 camera etc. Thoughts????
I had a 15 Rogue SV AWD. It was a good vehicle, but incredibly slow. And overtime it became uncomfortable because the seats are hard as hell. Plus, the hard plastic on the door panel hurt my elbow a lot. My Murano is everything I want. Speaking of Murano...when can you get your hands on one? Would love to see a review.
Hi! Someone visiting my neighbor drove up with a Rogue rental! I always saw it in the dark. It was still beautiful. I waited one day to hear it start. I could barely hear it! So I figured the noise must occur on the freeway?
Have watched a few of your videos and this one is a newer version of my 13. SV with AWD option. I know ppl knock Nissan's cvt's because they need some pardon the expression but "balls" to back them up. Also the engine in this needs a power boost as it has a hard time getting out of its own way. Speaking of mine, I have 178k on the ticker with no, I repeat no major issues. At 55k, 1 new set of Yokohama tires, at 90k new brake pads. At 145k, next set of Yokohama tires, both sets being 75k radials that outlasted the 75k. Now at 178k, new rotors and pads. Transmission drain and fill and dif gear change. Doing a coolant flush as well. I like mine aside from the sucky engine department. I considered buying another, used but I will not because of the lack of power and transmission issues. Nope, not doing it.
I never had a Nissan rogue but I did have a Nissan frontier pick up very high quality! When I came to small SUV I opted for a Ford escape with a four-cylinder eco-boost that little sucker had a lot of power for a four-cylinder but I do like this new rogue maybe next time I’m in the market for something like this this may be my choice.
As a former Nissan Rogue SL Owner (2016) does need some updates digital speedo, power passenger seat more Horsepower. Otherwise fantastic SUV miss mine was recently totaled.
Debating this vs the Tucson. This is the trim I would prefer. Some might not like your detailed quibbles and I'm pretty utilitarian myself, but you always bring up interesting features and observations. One can get used to any vehicle and I would get used to the cupholders etc. Even the cargo area; the wide entry and spaciousness are a big selling point, the dividers don't bother me. Looked at one at length at the Toronto auto show and was impressed. Now I've never driven a CVT before, test drive will be a must.
Gloss black? Even if you clean it gently, it still gets swirl marks on the surface. Better to use something else. I agree BIGGER infotainment screens please. Nissan needs to get in line with their competition on a few areas.
I have the Australian version Qashquai british developed and made in Sunderland in the UK , are these the same ? love the car , had a dualis before . Feels quality . some small things are a personal preference too i guess .
I just bought a 2019 rogue sv and am considering trading it for an altima because it doesnt have the digital speedometer and the seats are rediculously uncomfortable and dont have thigh adjustment ... mine doesnt have fog lights or those cool rims
I was in the market for an SUV before christmas and this was one of my choices... so glad I went with the Tiguan tho... so so much nicer and better tech along with a much better infotainment display.
I had a 2019 Elantra and I got in a bad wreck and totaled my car. So I am looking for something new. I’ve seen these on the road and I like the design. Sat in one at the Chicago Auto Show and loved it
My parents just got a 2019 sv with 32k miles, kinda disappointed iirndoesnt have the built in garage opener being its sv also- but nice looking economic reliable suv over comparable used cx5 and especially crv which are crazy expensive still used
My grandma got one today, a 2019 SL rogue gun metal gray and has the black interior. I haven’t seen it in person but she just picked it up today and showed a picture for me to see. This one is a lease, my grandparents did exactly buy it but leased it so we’ll see what happens. Has the shitty jacto transmission. She’s had her 2016 Ford Fusion SE ruby red technology package for 3 years now and it was leased back in 2015 or 2016 and had 120miles new and ford had it there for 4 months and no one bought it. My grandpa picked that one out for her. Now my uncle is a finance manager for Nissan and got a good deal for his parents which is my grandparents ,so he was able to get a fully loaded Nissan Rogue with the panoramic sunroof and navigation and has heated seats, heated steering wheel, push to start and more. Like I said it is in the gun metal gray exterior color. It does also have the kick down power tailgate as well. I’m not sure if it has the sensors but should have the 360 rear view camera and a back up camera as well. They just got it today and I’ll see it tomorrow. They got it with 22 miles brand new and Nissan cleaned it up and got it ready and has tinted windows installed too.
Thanks Joe, enjoyed watching this - in Australia (and Japan) this SUV is called the X-Trail. I believe this version for the US market is built in Tennessee..?
Not bad looking but I’m with you on the zonks. The console needs redesigned and the rear cargo area is cumbersome. I would like it more with a V6 and no CVT. The small SUV segment is becoming more crowded and people really have to do their homework more now than ever. Nice video as usual. 👍👍
All that chrome would look better id it was a smoked black chrome. You do a good job literally covering the whole car. This is hard I hate suvs I want the Accord but I have 3 kids I know I would be better off with a damn SUV. I love that he is in the Nissan dealership saying nope I don't like that that's cheap probably had a lot of dirty looks.

Very nice looking inside and out... only one problem .... The CVT transmission... Nissan is known for having issues with CVT. Research this transmissions before you buy.
Don't like the pearl white. Nissan is willing to negotiate unlike Honda and Toyota but there's probably a reason for that. I missed the price on this one. Great video!!!
Just subscribe n u did u good review of the Nissan rogue sv n my mom has the 2015 Nissan rogue sl and I have the rogue sport sv they both do good on gas mileage
I have a 2019 sv and it does not come with those wheels or seat control in setting up the drivers seal and in my cargo area there is no pull out cover and no chrome plate for the rear
Kind of sounds like you're nit picking everything lol. Plastic or not parts I don't care for honestly 😄 and also the cargo area..there's a specific way you move the parts where it slides right in. ☺ I've seen other reviews do it and it looks seamless. But thanks for the review 👍
I'm going to have to ZONK him on not being able to figure out the shelving in the back of the rogue. I have never had issues with putting it back flat after I had it in a different position lol.
Totally agree with your comments on the interior, needs premium material in some areas and the design as well, infotainment needs to be updated, screen is to small. The outside I like it, but I will like to see something like the Acura A-spec version to black out all the chrome and black wheels. I agree, it's comfortable, I have also rented this one on trips. Great video Joe, 👍👌
Def agree the zonks with the hard plastics on the glove compartment and dash. HAHA Knock knock who's there? Hard Plastic. A big let down of the interior. Weird placement of the E-brake. Prob to avoid accidential engagement. Surprise surprise that steering wheel design is kinda similar to the GTR steering wheel minus the GTR logo on the horn button thou the GTR wheel isnt flat bottom for the most recent model. The early 2008-2011 models were flat bottom wheels. I agree with you that they need to have the 1.6 Turbo engine option that was from the Juke. Because it produce 170bhp from the 1.6 turbo engine which will be plenty for city driving and prob save you a bit of fuel since there is enough torque down low so you wont need to rev high to get power. If the GTR has the dual clutch gearbox. I kinda scratching my head as why cant they implement a dual clutch gearbox into all their car lineup. Pretty sure with so much advancements from the early gen DCT. The newer DCT can be much compact and prob less complex than the VW 7 speed units which were prone to failing.
Just looked at 19 rogue sport tonight at pine belt nissan of Tom's River New Jersey and I'm not really impressed at all it has almost 73,000 miles on it and I heard it has turtle like acceleration I'm not sure but I'm very suspicious of the price and reliability of this car.... I really wish they would not call this type of vehicle an SUV. To me, it's an SUV if it has 4wd and option for a manual transmission. The Rogue is a crossover period. Unibody construction does not an SUV make.

By far the worse vehicle i ever had I bought it new a 2019 model a week after i bought it its left me stranded i could be driving just fine stop somewhere and the battery would go completely dead it did this 8 times i keep on taking it back to the dealer and they could not find what was wrong with it , i finally got tired of it and i got an attorney i was able to return it under the Lemon law. i got my full money back from ther i bought a new jeep grand cherokee which it never gave me any problems. i just trade it and i got a new Toyota corolla Se 2022 and i am happy with the time i had the jeep and from the New corolla but the rouge was the worse vehicle i ever had. I would not recommend it to anyone. its was a beutiful suv and extremely comfortable but my experience was bad. mine look just like this one on this video
@@RaitisRides Thanks maybe its was just mine but after that experience i lost my trust for nissan , and i had nissan in the past i had a 90s maxima its was a great car, but its seem like nissan started cutting corners under that last ceo who was arrested but i hope nissan improve in the future.

Zonkers to the CVT. Back in the day Nissan was a quality contender to Toyota and Honda but no more. Have fun in Detroit!

I like your channel but reports on import SUVs?! You Are killing me..in the rain?..should've stayed home... you're better than that..lol..I'd rather you report on classic trucks or Harley motorcycles..open up your audience..just saying.
Wikipedia tells me that this car is built in the Nissan plant in Tennessee ... it is Nissan's most popular car in the US.
@@Smithy67 Wikipedia huh?..anyone can write in Wikipedia..n popular usually means streamlined bullshit, especially in imports.
I am trying to just being variety! There are review I do of certain vehicles that people do want to see! Thanks for the feedback I really appreciate it!
Thank you for your support!
doryanthes67 no I liked this review, love the variety
I am so sorry that you had issues with yours!
@@RaitisRides Thanks maybe its was just mine but after that experience i lost my trust for nissan , and i had nissan in the past i had a 90s maxima its was a great car, but its seem like nissan started cutting corners under that last ceo who was arrested but i hope nissan improve in the future.
@@RaitisRides what is your take on the 2022 Corolla SE
