    I rent mostly from Enterprise and I don't see many top trim levels like this. Not only is the SL - the most expensive trim - but it also has all-wheel drive AND the new ProPilot system. It was pretty fun, because it's been a long time since I had new technology like this to play with. Have you tried out any of the self-driving systems yet? Just curious what you thought about 'em. Cheers!

    Nissan putting the lights for the blind spot warning inside the car (instead of on the outside mirror glass) is a great feature. It is closer to your straight ahead vision so you will see it sooner. Also warning lights on the mirror glass (in other cars) are not visible in heavy fog or bright sunlight from that side or the rear, not a problem with Nissans.

      Well said. It does take a little getting used to, but I agree, inside is better.

      Subaru also moved the blind spot lights inside the mirror housing closer to driver's eyes.

    You are the only reviewer I saw that gives a correct description and rating of this vehicle's handling. It's easy to turn the corner and you don't feel that much of gravitational tilt even turning at a higher speed. A lot of expert reviewers say this vehicle's handling is poor and not accurate. I really don't know what they mean.

    i rent from enterprise a lot, and rented a Rogue SV for 2 days which turned into 5 months !!! i just didn't want to give it back, it was that great.
    it was that amazing, that car was simply great in everything. i have driven the SL AWD and found it everything they said it would be. my SV got 41 MPG. handled great, brakes, power and interior was top notch. anyone looking for an SUV, please try one of these. great video.

    I just bought a 2019 Rouge SV and I gotta say, I’m extremely happy with it. Especially the fact that I use it to drive back and fourth to work. It does what I need it to do. The family car is a 2019 Chevrolet Traverse. I won’t compare the two at all, but I’m happy with the Rouge as my daily driver.

    My wife and I just rented one of these, from Enterprise in Las Vegas, for 19 days, at the beginning of August. We did 3,200 miles in that time, much to the surprise of the guy in the Enterprise office. We visited Bonneville Salt Flats for Speed Week via Zion National Park, then drove through Nevada to the SF Bay Area before returning to Las Vegas via Yosemite and Death Valley. Ours was also the SL spec but only 2WD. The display showed an average consumption of 27.9 mpg most of the time. The CVT transmission was a definite improvement over the last Nissan, a 2007 Murano, that I drove with this gearbox. Nissan / Renault have introduced steps so that it mimics a conventional automatic / DCT gearbox. It was a good car for our trip with plenty of space for our bags and a comfortable ride, even on its 19" wheels. Its relatively meagre 170 bhp was bearable but being used to turbo diesel engines in both our VW Golf and VW Tiguan, the low torque output in comparison with c. 300 lbs-ft which we enjoy at home was very noticeable. That meant that it was necessary to engage Sport mode and floor the accelerator to execute some overtakes or tackle mountain passes at speed. Talking of which, I noted that like every other Nissan I've driven, the speedometer agreed completely with the speed shown on my Garmin GPS. Finally, as someone who's spent 47 years driving cars, trucks, buses and karts and riding motorcycles on road and track, covering something approaching 1 million miles in that time, I'm not a big fan of the Pro Pilot system. As ever, YMMV.

      100 Rental Cars it’s very good to drive but the auto start stop is annoying I really dislike it and mine has gps with turn by turn enabled and it uses loud loud speakers because i have the radio volume at 10 and it rattles the car and the back is roomier i sat in an 18 and there wasn’t as much space in the back as the front. I’m taking a road trip to Washington dc this summer with my family and I need to o rent a vehicle that has room for 7 people and it has space for luggage and that’s good on gas I don’t want to drive an armada tahoe suburban expedition escalade yukon etc I don’t want to drive a big boat do you think the atlas is a good vehicle for that.

    This was a very nice description of the Rogue . I just bought a rental(too much mileage) but what sold me was the Monarch Orange & AWD SL & all the Safety Features. Minus the sunroof which I barely used on my previous car, this handles so easy. Bought sister a 2003 Rav4 and loved it. Driving this Rogue reminds me of the ease of driving yet a large suv as the Rav4 was. I owned a 2014 Rav4 and it felt heavy. This Rogue is growing on me and has is a pleasure to drive. Thanks to your video, did Enterprise deliver this Rogue to you with all the dirty marks on the interior? I'm very fussy about my cars and like to keep them neat and clean. I forgive you since it is winter there and I'm in Florida. haha Learned more about my Rogue from your video, thank you.

    I had a Rogue SV from Avis, nice suv. Mine didn’t have the ProPILOT. I haven’t tried nissans sysystem but I have tried others. I can live without the adaptive cruise or high beam assist but I definitely appreciate the forward collision warning.

    • @100RentalCars
      @100RentalCars  5 лет назад +1

      I've only had the forward collision warning go off a few times in cars, but it's scared the living crap out of me. I also had an Elantra last week that had the rear collision warning... I don't think that's what it's actually called...but anyway, it warned me when I was backing up in a parking garage and another driver refused to yield. It was really helpful and the range was surprisingly wide.

      100 Rental Cars absolutely! With driver aids becoming more and more common I’d love if you’d also state how the system felt, like some cars have a habit to push a little too hard when you are trying to move for cyclists. But if not that please keep the ratings it, personally it give more of a feedback about he car than just what the car has.

    Hey dude, love your content. I'm looking into getting a rogue, and while this isn't a huge factor for me I'm just curious. When you do your acceleration tests, are you in sport, eco, or auto mode (if you even had it in your rental)? I'm prolly gonna spent most my time in eco, I commute to work, but just wondering how you used it.

    • @100RentalCars
      @100RentalCars  5 лет назад +1

      I usually do my tests in Sport, although I thought the Rogue performed great in all three settings. And I'm the same, I usually drive in Eco mode. No point in wasting gas. By the way, thanks for the kind words. And good luck with your purchase. I think you'll really like the Rogue, but let me know if you're checking out other vehicles too. I'd be curious to hear what you end up getting.

    More electronic stuff to break and cost too much to fix. Not a fan of Nissan. Like the way they look and effort but their reliability history is horrendous compared to Toyota and Honda and what you would think given its looks and tech. But several reviews and owners can attest to this, I'm one of those having owned 5, all had way too many problems for its age/mileage and research suggest I'm not alone. I'd suggest if you really have to own one, lease it. Great review non the less.

    As far as an apples to apples comparison of size / comfort /quality , how do you think the Rogue stacks up vs the Hyundai Santa Fe ?

    • @100RentalCars
      @100RentalCars  5 лет назад

      They're very similar in my opinion. The Santa Fe is more "gentle", both in styling and handling. The Rogue, in comparison, is a bit more aggressive. The styling is more masculine and it's a bit quicker. Both are great, but if I had to choose, I'd probably pick the Rogue. Are you thinking of buying one?

    Over Half Million Rogues sold last year. has to be a reason right? When you shined your light in the back seat with all the “Scuff marks” on that Nasty Plastic drives me crazy and you know kids are going to kick, kick and kick, and people also hit when sliding over. I don’t know why manufacturers use this material.

      I completely agree. Even with regular clean, you can never make those plastic parts look clean/new. Worthless. But...to be fair, it doesn't look THAT bad in normal light. And I'm sure most cars wouldn't look great under a bright light like that. Anyway, thanks for the great comment!

    I drove a Rental Buick Envision with the Lane Keep Assistance.... worked flawlessly on the interstate on a drive on Interstates 17 & 40 on a drive up to Las Vegas. Don't know if you've reviewed an Envision, nice vehicle. Got it from Hertz.

      I've actually never driven a Buick, ever. The Envision sounds nice, once I save up enough Enterprise points to get a Ferrari (my current goal), I'll check out Hertz and see if I can drive a few Buicks. Thanks for the idea. Cheers.

    It's such a shame. This car could be truly reliable if it wasn't for the transmission.

    So what was the coolest thing you've found in a rental car?

    • @100RentalCars
      @100RentalCars  5 лет назад

      Let's see, I've found two pairs of sunglasses, a couple of CDs (the funniest was Rob Thomas), a dog leash, money (the most was a couple of bucks in change left in the back seat), and 3 or 4 toll passes. I'm sure there's been other things too, but that's all I can remember right now.
