We have good gorditas in Bernal and Tequisquiapan , try gorditas de barbacoa in the towns around those magic towns

When I retired in 2013 I decided to spend a month in Guanajuato just for the experience of living in Mexico. I loved it. Everyone was friendly and went out of their way to talk to me.

Es cierto que en México existe inseguridad como en todos los paises del mundo, pero también es inegable que hay pueblo trabajador y hospitalario que tiene mucho que ofrecer a las personas de otros países. Es gratificante cuando personas de otros países quedan satisfechas con su visita o cambio de residencia a esta hermosa tierra azteca.

I couldn’t agree with you more! What we see in the US is so misleading. I have been traveling around Mexico since 1978 and the people and country are wonderful. No place is perfect. I am patiently waiting for the day I retire and head to Mexico full time.

Yes. It seems like the U.S. has something against Mexico , in general. Today, the U.S. is supporting people who are against the Mexican president because this president is not selling itself to the United States like the other ones. The U.s doesn’t like that. It doesn’t want Mexico to prosper.

My husband will especially appreciate hearing this. 🙏❤ People see a video, and they think we were just in the location 30 minutes prior..😄😉 This video actually took about 3 days to get ready for release. Every video is different of course; some take a little less, some a bit more time.
Lo mejor de mexico es que la gente nunca te va negar un plato de comida.. "mi casa es tu casa" asi somos criados desde pequeños, y cada que vas a caminar ala calle siempre veras gente afuera disfrutando De la tarde.. la vida en usa es mejor economicamente.. pero es una vida muy rutinaria, robotizada, trabajo, gym, casa, dormir. Repeat. Estoy agradecido con 🇺🇸 por todo lo que me a dado pero definitivamente mi retiro sera en 🇲🇽. Me da gusto que muestren en realidad lo que es mexico mucho exito y bendiciones. Gente mala y crimen esta por todos lados.. yo fui baliado 2 veces y secuestrado aqui en usa donde radico (albuquerque new mexico USA).. pero seguimos adelante y siempre dando un visto bueno ala vida

Wow this year I decided to make my home Aguascalientes I moved from Chicago. I love it no regrets the state is clean, the people ate beautiful, the weather reminds me central coast California.
No racism no huge political division that affect your health like that like Democrats wear a face mask in Republicans don’t or if you’re a Republican you don’t want the vaccine if your democrat you are for the vaccine we don’t have that nonsense here and I love it. That kind of ignorance is not allowed people actually correct people about health issues with the pandemic in a very nice matter I may say, so yes mexico Aguascalientes I’m happy it’s my home and I hope to be here for a long time.

Cerca de San Marcos , los puedo invitar a recorrer pueblos mágicos , cristo roto San José de gracia , a degustar una buena birria , un buen menudo , y tradiciones del estado y mostrarles algo de historia local , no soy profesional pero me gusta investigar , y por lo que vi por las chiquiadas viven cerca de la calle rincón , otra opinión sin ofender , si están transmitiendo en inglés ponen subtítulos en inglés , por que no en español , los que no somos bilingües nos quedamos papándo moscas , es un dicho muy mexicano , que nomas milamos , saludos

Man, Luis' is story is so common. It's so great to see younger generations of Mexicans not caught up with "pie in the sky" notions of an American dream. When I travel to Mexico the culture and history is beyond anything most American cities can offer. The notion that Mexicans must leave such beauty, and ties, behind for economic reasons, to be humiliated and exploited in, very often, xenophobic and racist towns, always with the threat of deportation, is insane. I see this mentality changing with younger folks. As first generation American, I've been inspired by those returning to Mexico rejecting Americas social conditioning of overworked for capitalist gains. You two are an inspiration to just get the F out there and live your dream! Keep up the great work!

I love your videos! I was born and raised there and now that I’m living in the US, your videos bring up a lot of good memories for me. A few things I noticed:
-The church your refer to as San Antonio de Padua is actually the cathedral, in Spanish Catedral Basílica de Nuestra Señora de la Asunción de Aguascalientes
-The church at the end of the video is San Antonio de Padua
-I believe the street you were referring to when talking about all the rooftop restaurants, cafés, nightlife etc is Venustiano Carranza and you were actually super close to it when you were talking about it

A funny little side note, I was on that very street this morning going to meeting a friend for lunch at a very wonderful restaurant called 'Messicana' . I know you had said it is hard for you to meet up with expats but maybe we could meet there at some point (or any other place) in the future. Aguascalientes is really a very beautiful city. I really love Mexico and have been to many cities there. Guadalajara is my favorite place in Mexico. Guanajuato is really nice, but my friend that lives there told me it is not the nice safe place it used to be as the drug cartels took over. I am thinking about moving to Mexico and Aguascalientes, Guadalajara, or Merida are the three places I am thinking about moving too. Nice informative video thanks for posting.

Hola, soy de Ags. Y me topé con el video por casualidad. Primero que nada me da mucho gusto saber qué hay personas extranjeras que muestran un poco de la realidad del país y que dentro de esa realidad hay muchas cosas buenas y no solo lo que ven en las noticias o películas. Me gustaría aclarar un poco la situación que desde mi realidad como mujer mexicana al lado de miles se vive en el país, pero quiero dejar en claro que es solo un comentario con el único fin de informar. Se qué hay muchas personas que no concuerdan con la manera de protestar, sobretodo extranjeras, pero simplemente quiero que sepan que si se ha llegado a tales extremos es porque no se ha tenido respuesta de una manera pacífica, se han realizado dichas protestas y se ha peleado de la mejor manera, sin embargo y desgraciadamente, así como México tiene miles de cosas bonitas el sistema judicial y la seguridad son poco eficientes y corruptos. Desgraciadamente son muy pocos casos en los que se reconoce la buena atención y trabajo de los mismos. Como mujeres estamos obligadas a exigir lo que por derecho nos corresponde, el respeto y seguridad. Hay miles de casos de mujeres que han sido abusadas, violentadas y matadas, y que se buscó la manera de hacer justicia, hubo demandas, hubo investigaciones e inclusive hay culpables pero desgraciadamente en muchos de los casos el sistema judicial no hace nada. Por eso es que las cosas han llegado a tal extremo, porque no ha habido respuesta de la manera “correcta” y pacífica. No se puede comparar la situación con protestas en otros países y yo no lo haré porque simplemente desconozco el sistema judicial en EUA. Simplemente hablo por mi país y desde mi realidad como mujer. A mi me encanta mi país y mi estado, e incluso considero que Aguascalientes es de los estados más seguros de México, en fin, espero no causar controversias ni mal entendidos y los felicito por el contenido que realizan.

Hola Fabii, Apreciamos tu comentario, y gracias por explicar tus pensamientos con respeto. Entendemos la razón detrás de lo que dijiste. Estamos COMPLETAMENTE de acuerdo en que el asesinato de mujeres (y CUALQUIER injusticia) son HORRÍFICOS y nosotros, como un solo pueblo, unidos, debemos alzar la voz/defender lo que es correcto; simplemente no creemos que rociar graffiti en ninguna propiedad sea la forma de hacerlo. Como vieron en nuestro video, mostramos un videoclip de la protesta de George Floyd, y nosotros mismos estábamos allí protestando contra el asesinato de un hombre inocente asesinado por la policía frente a todos en una acera pública... su cuello hasta que lentamente murió asfixiado mientras suplicaba por aire. Puede que no estés familiarizado con esta historia, pero hay muchos más ejemplos como este no solo en los últimos años en nuestro país de origen, sino en la historia de nuestro país, simplemente por el color de la piel. Lamentablemente, esto no es nada nuevo para nosotros, ya que ha seguido ocurriendo y se niega en muchos casos. También hay muchos incidentes de mujeres violadas, abusadas y asesinadas. Hay niños en grandes redes de tráfico sexual y mujeres acosadas sexualmente en sus lugares de trabajo (yo mismo experimenté esto personalmente) en nuestro propio país, donde las personas en puestos de autoridad hacen la vista gorda todos los días, y algunos en altos cargos, tienen dinero para pagar a la gente para que permanezca en silencio, para proteger a los abusadores. Pero, como dijimos en nuestro video, a pesar de que nosotros mismos protestamos por las injusticias y estuvimos y todavía estamos enojados, personalmente no podemos decir que destrozar sea la forma de crear un verdadero cambio en este mundo. Aunque entendemos mucho la ira cuando, como pueblo, vemos que el sistema judicial no hace nada para hacer un verdadero cambio y proteger a nuestra gente/mujeres. Verá, nuestros países realmente no son diferentes (ni tampoco lo son otros países de nosotros) ... ambos tienen corrupción policial, injusticias y nosotros, como personas que se preocupan, todos estamos dolidos y enojados al ver esto, pero si cometemos actos de vandalismo, tomamos la responsabilidad. atención fuera de donde debe estar ~ en las injusticias / asesinatos y en su lugar. pone una luz negativa sobre nosotros y lo que estamos haciendo. Puede sentirse bien por un corto tiempo sacar su propio enojo, pero ¿realmente estamos haciendo un cambio/diferencia de esa manera...? Hay tantas naciones en todo el mundo que enfrentan exactamente los mismos problemas, a veces un pequeño detalle puede parecer diferente, pero en realidad, es lo mismo, todos enfrentamos y luchamos como un solo pueblo: el mal. Estos son solo nuestros pensamientos, por supuesto, y todos tienen derecho a su propia opinión. Agradecemos que compartas la tuya.

Aparte de darles la bienvenida, quisiera compartir con ustedes que la primera iglesia por donde pasaron en la calle Moctezuma y está la plaza principal es la Catedral Basílica de Nuestra Señora de la Asunción, es realmente hermosa.
Me encantó su recorrido por la calle Madero y la llegada a la calle Zaragoza donde terminaron este recorrido frente al bellísimo Templo de San Antonio de Padua, vale la pena verlo por dentro y en la parte de atrás del mismo templo encontrarán el pequeño Templo en honor a Santa Rita de Casia y por un costado el Museo de Aguascalientes que también tiene su historia. Hay mucho que ver. Gracias por compartir su video con tantas personas, me gustó mucho su forma de transmitir y será un gusto seguirlos.

I love that city. It's so underrated. I still have my handmade chocolate soap. Have you been to the aguas termales yet? I want to move to Latin America. Mexico in my first choice they have changed their requirements. Zacatecas is one of my all time favorite cities. Love you guys!

Hey guys! this is my first comment on your channel but have been following you for some time now. Being local, is amazing to watch my city through yours eyes and experiences, I used to go to those gorditas all the time when I was little (the lady vendor is called Martha if I remember correctly lol), have you guys gone to the central de abastos/agropecuario? is not so close from centro but is definitely a nice option to get nice and fresh food at really cheap prices, aguas termales de ojo calientes is another place you gotta check out, is definitely a nice experience to try. Book one of their private pools filled with spring waters.. so many places to recomend probably for the next videos, saludos!!!

My Dad was born in Aguascalientes, Mexico. He came to America in 1945 as a 23 year old. He raised a family in Texas in his 40s in Texas. We have cousins there. I remember the spots you featured. In July Texas has hellish heat. Aguascalientes has beautiful weather. I remember a local complaining about 80s being hot. I told her try Texas in 100s!
