I used Gabrielle as facilitator for my permanent residency. She did a thorough, quick and an excellent job. The process was a breeze. She met me at the immigration office early in the morning, by 2:00 PM I walked out with my residency card. Seeing other people that day, who tried to go cheap and do it themselves (and the immigration officer send them a way with a list of requirements or they needed to re file in another office), I was glad I used her services. Hello Mariana. 'Thank you very much for sharing this presentation from Gabrielle! It is awesome to see she has found a great life in Mexico and Mexico City! She presented many cool things for us to consider! Well...as luck would have it, I was thinking our next trip to Mexico would be in January-ish; and probably to Oaxaca as my wife's aunt is usually there then. But, my boss and his wife have a trip to Ecuador next week; which means I'm off from work! So, we are making a spur of the moment trip to Mexico City next week! As I told before, our trip to Mazatlan was really awesome! We loved everything about it, with the exception of the heat. Therefore, I knew we needed to get up to the highlands to get out of some of the direct heat and humidity to see that kind of area. When you consider what we want-- a Centro area, walkability, live music, can walk to restaurants, bars, and music, can walk to food shopping, have amenities close, culture activities and museums, mass transit, etc, Mexico City really offers all of that on a much grander scale than what we've experienced. No doubt, I could find live music SOMEWHERE in this city every night of the week! Anyways, we are really looking forward to this! I've only been in a city this big once; it was New York City, for about 3 or 4 hours hehehehe We are heading down to there in a week, so time for some research! Safe travels!

My question is, do you think MC is a good place to retire to? I love the parks and hiking, and that is pet friendly. I have dual citizenship, but I'm not sure what more is needed for me to live in Mexico. Anyway, thanks again. 🌷
We hope to eventually spend some time in Mexico City. We retired 4 months ago at 55 and 60, and are traveling between Mexico and Argentina in search of our favorite retirement city for the next 4-5 years. We love cool weather so Mexico City is appealing. We are currently in my wife’s home country of Nicaragua, up in the mountains of Matagalpa. February we will head to Guatemala for 6 months, then Mexico for 6 months. The only downsides of Mexico City we here about are difficulty renting and guessing Mexico City is probably the most expensive place to live ? We do have 2 senior dogs. Had three but just lost one to cancer. The boys are both 16 so not sure how long they will be traveling with us. We currently spend about $1000/month here for everything, plus another $300/month or so for the dogs. Guessing we will be at more than double that in Mexico City ? Triple ? Thx !
@@MexicoRelocationGuide Oh no, we wouldn’t try to live in Mexico City on $1000/month. We’ll try to live on $2000/month in most cities we are going to but figured Mexico City is probably the most expensive city we’ll visit so not sure…. $2500/month ?
Excellent info Mexican Relocation Guide and Gabrielle. Gracias! So helpful. Gabrielle do you mind sharing the monthly rent on your apartment, and if it's furnished or unfurnished? If you''d rather not I totally get it. I don't mean to be rude. Gracias de nuevo.
I think it’s better to live without a car in cdmx. The public transportation is quite good, but super crowded. Just use sound judgement as in ANY urban area. I was pickpocketed on the subway. I should have kept my wallet in my front pocket. But cdmx is fabulous
I’ve lived in CDMX now for a little over a year and it is absolutely possible to live here without a car, in fact I’d recommend not having one: in many parts of the city parking is very scarce, left turns on many main streets are prohibited, and the traffic itself can be impossible. Your best bet is the Metro (subway) and Metrobus
It's safe as long as you never assume anyone is looking out for you. It is your responsibility as a scooter or bike rider to watch out for cars, not the way other way around. And it won't get stolen as long as you have a garage or you keep it locked if on street parking
Hi Bill It’s not a book. It’s a complete relocation online guide. And her contact info isn’t the only one we have hundreds of contacts across Mexico that are useful in a variety of ways. Think of all the time it would take you to make your connections as a newbie. We close that gap for you
Smog is def an issue if you're very sensitive. Personally, it doesn't bother my breathing but then again I grew up in CDMX. Safety wise, you'll be fine if you practice the same common sense as in any major city. Try not to travel alone at night, be aware of surroundings, lock doors, and avoid sketchy areas that seem sketchy- you'll know when you see them If you want a private relocation tour of CDMX to check it out, visit our page mexicorelocationguide.com/tours/
Hello, thank you for sharing such wonderful, informative content 🙏🏾🙏🏾 I have a question that maybe you can answer. If I'm planning to come to Mexico and use the income from my job to qualify, but my significant other doesn't work..... how can we both come? I see retired couples in a lot of videos, but wasn't sure if they each had to qualify separately? 🤔 Thanks 🙏🏾 in advance for your reply
Hi Brad- most couples either qualify individually or one of them gets residency then petitions for the other in Mexico. This is because Mexican immigration law allows family members to join their resident spouses without having to prove the same financial solvency that the main applicant had to prove.
If you pick up dog´s waste it´s OK, but there are parks in CDMX that have rat poison...must be very careful and also of bigger o many dogs strolling...
I was looking for more details in particular the cost of everything and how much do you need a month to live. Are there jobs for expats? Etc. It is very pretty where you live.
In many cases a facilitator is never required- but highly recommended regardless of where your passport is from because they help you in soooo many ways. From standing in long lines for you to ensuring you know exactly what to do so you waste the least amount of time

Thank you. I currently live in AZ and I'm curious about the possibility of retirering in MC. I really enjoyed your video. It was very helpful. My question is, do you think MC is a good place to retire to? I love the parks and hiking, and that is pet friendly. I have dual citizenship, but I'm not sure what more is needed for me to live in Mexico.
Anyway, thanks again. 🌷
It’s only my favorite city in the world ☺️ I think it’s a great place to live
Your advice and guidance has been awesome!!!
Nicely done very informative
Gracias :)
Very informative and positive. REally enjoyed your video.
Thanks Tess. She’s a wonderful person who knows her stuff
Triple ?
Thx !
It just depends on your lifestyle but living on $1000 will be very hard
@@MexicoRelocationGuide
Oh no, we wouldn’t try to live in Mexico City on $1000/month.
Grest video I love you thak you for apriciating my city
Gracias por el comentario. 😀
Is it possible to live in Mexico City without owning a car? Part of me wants to ditch the car and move to a location where a car isn’t necessary.
I think it’s better to live without a car in cdmx. The public transportation is quite good, but super crowded.
Just use sound judgement as in ANY urban area. I was pickpocketed on the subway. I should have kept my wallet in my front pocket. But cdmx is fabulous
Yes you absolutely can
I’ve lived in CDMX now for a little over a year and it is absolutely possible to live here without a car, in fact I’d recommend not having one: in many parts of the city parking is very scarce, left turns on many main streets are prohibited, and the traffic itself can be impossible. Your best bet is the Metro (subway) and Metrobus
I’m Mexico City is better if you don’t Owen a car, is very walkable in there is many modes of transportation
Depends on where you live, and where you work and like to hang out. I wouldn’t advice foreigners to even drive here.
Over all, real freedom…
I love México city.
Great video. Very informative.
Glad it was helpful! Check our site for more useful information

Very nice video. Thanks Gabrielle
So u think riding a regular bike or motorscooter is safe and do u think either will go missing soon after buying one?
It's safe as long as you never assume anyone is looking out for you. It is your responsibility as a scooter or bike rider to watch out for cars, not the way other way around. And it won't get stolen as long as you have a garage or you keep it locked if on street parking
Good video, thanks. But the only way to reach you is to buy a $500 book first?
Hi Bill
It’s not a book. It’s a complete relocation online guide. And her contact info isn’t the only one we have hundreds of contacts across Mexico that are useful in a variety of ways. Think of all the time it would take you to make your connections as a newbie. We close that gap for you
Really great video
Glad you enjoyed it
A way better quality of life.😀
Hello, i think about moving to México for two years. I am worried about Smog and Air qualitY and safety as a Girl.
Thanks for help
Smog is def an issue if you're very sensitive. Personally, it doesn't bother my breathing but then again I grew up in CDMX. Safety wise, you'll be fine if you practice the same common sense as in any major city. Try not to travel alone at night, be aware of surroundings, lock doors, and avoid sketchy areas that seem sketchy- you'll know when you see them
If you want a private relocation tour of CDMX to check it out, visit our page mexicorelocationguide.com/tours/
I call my apartment the treehouse too for the same reason lol
You really enjoy CDMX, that's great!
Thanks for watching it Cindy
Glad you liked it
Hello, thank you for sharing such wonderful, informative content 🙏🏾🙏🏾 I have a question that maybe you can answer.
@@MexicoRelocationGuide Thank you for replying 🙏🏾 I really appreciate it.
how do you exercise your dogs?dogs: deal with 'going to the bathroom? (I want to bring my dogs)
There are hundreds of dog parks in México City
If you pick up dog´s waste it´s OK, but there are parks in CDMX that have rat poison...must be very careful and also of bigger o many dogs strolling...
I heard you can’t flush toilet paper, that it has to be put in the garbage. Is this true?
Depends on the house in Mexico. Most houses have regular plumbing where you can flush toilet paper
There is a protocol , if they put a basket don't flush it.
I was looking for more details in particular the cost of everything and how much do you need a month to live. Are there jobs for expats? Etc. It is very pretty where you live.
There is another video about Mexico City on my channel where I share these topics -
Would a facilitator be required if I have Mexican citizenship? Dual citizenship, US and MX. Thanks
In many cases a facilitator is never required- but highly recommended regardless of where your passport is from because they help you in soooo many ways. From standing in long lines for you to ensuring you know exactly what to do so you waste the least amount of time
Congratulations

She does. She goes to the parks all the time
Living in Mexico is less estress
Si! 😉
The co-signer is SO prohibitive. What a shame.
Not if you hire a company that co-signs for you. There are many in Mexico and some offer various benefits at different price ranges
I wonder why your used bossa Nova to introduce this video. We are not Brazil. Nossa!
