Ice Cave music from Donkey Kong Country 2, restored to a pre-console state. Part of a project to restore the Donkey Kong Country soundtrack to the beautiful smooth quality it was meant to be heard in. This was made possible by locating the synths used to make the game (Korg Wavestation, Roland R8, etc.) and plugging them into the blueprints ripped from the game through RareSPC.

They say that certain smells can take you back to your childhood. This music does that to me, and it takes me back to the summer of '96 when I was a kid... hanging out in my parents' basement playing SNES; when worries did not exist. When I could still visit my grandparents on warm summer days... Stickerbrush Symphony is my absolute favorite, however In A Snow-Bound Land actually brings tears to my eyes; I'm a grown-ass man.

The OST for DKC2 is surprisingly mature and moody for a game about two chimps jumping on crocodiles. Rareware was ahead of their time. They were like the Pixar of videogames.

Everyone be like stickerbrush is the best, while I agree its a good song not the best, this one is my favorite. The aesthetic and mood is so calming and etherial. This track is probably my favorite Ice themed video game track, thank you so much for the hard work. I can imagine David Wise and his team in their small studio room, listenin' and chillin' like villains.
It's so clean. Love it.
I think one reason why it's so good is because David Wise picked one of the best songs he could've as inspiration - Theme from Antarctica by Vangelis, one of the best electronic or ambient music compositions ever released.
I honestly think with all my heart that you cant possibly make a better ice themed song than this. This is magical and it blows my mind how this was even created by David Wise.

Despite how annoying water and ice levels are in general the music in most of them are outstanding.....and this is the best song ive ever heard while going through water levels thank you so much for this remake its helped me so so much 0^0

The memories. This takes me back, when I was in elementary when this game came out. I couldn’t wait to get home and play this game. This brings back those memories when life was just….easier.
Great Job Jammin Sam. I listen to Donkey Kong Music almost every day, yea im weird like that lol. Most people say stickerbush symphony is number 1 on dkc2, but this one has always been tough to top, its hard to say but definitely very relaxing. Also am I the only one that wants to visit real life landscapes like the ones in the games n play david wises soundtracks as i explore or vacation? Would be awesome. I already listen to his underwater themes when I'm swimming and stuff from tropical freeze when im at the beach lol.

Stickerbrush symphony, forest interlude, crocodile cacophony, klubbas reveille, hot head bop, lost world anthem and krooks march are all amazing, but none are as good as this

I always liked how happy the kongs looked in their pre-rendered art. Swimming underwater in the darkness? Happy. Sliding barefoot on sea ice? Happy. In the middle of a pirate war against 6'0 tall crocodiles? Happy. Relationship goals.

DKC was always a big part of my teenage years, more than Mario, and though Playstation was my go to system, i'd always feel something for the DK games.. whether it was playing it before taking my sister to skating practices, home cooked meals, playing it late fri nights after a busy wk at school
