      The mom/stepdad need to hustle.
Each holding down 2 jobs for 2 yrs would put them in a better position. 1 more disaster and they’ll be homeless- it’s awful but it’s their responsibility to get themselves out of it.

O p in the first story stated that his parents were separated but not legally divorced so child support would not play a factor.

"If I hear you say a single negative thing about my dad before my wedding, you will be uninvited. And if, by a miracle, you manage to remain invited, if I see you making my father uncomfortable during the wedding or reception, I will have you thrown out."

My husband did the same thing as story seven. I mentioned how I wanted a really soft fluffy knitted blanket. The next day I came home with a ton of skeins of thick red yarn. I asked him what all that was for, and he said, he said you wanted a knitted blanket so I thought I would make it. I asked him if he knew how to knit or crochet? He said he didn't but that he was willing to learn how to crochet. I told him that what I meant was if he saw one to buy it, but he decided he was going to make it. A year later we now have our large crocheted blanket that is very warm. It's a little wonky in places but I love it

My mom likes snow globes and my dad saw a heart-shaped one at the store and he got it for her just because he thought of her.

For the 1st story, she can get the dad's Social security every month to raise the kid until 18. But if the kid emancipates himself he gets the SS payment. Money changes people and it is super sad.

Good for the guy that sat down and learned to finger knit for something his wife wanted. That guy is a keeper. BTW, there is a difference between crochet and knitting. Crochet is much easier than knitting but is much more personalized as crochet can only be done by hand; can’t be duplicated by machine like knitting can.

If 1st OP wants to share fine, but he don't so NTA... It is your inheritance.... And, they have no right to it.✌ If OP.chose to do so his step siblings are all young enough for mom and hubby to keep it for themselves.😪

Story 4 - @Dusty You should definitely add “Maid of Honor for hire” to your service offerings!! Or host Maid of Honor training so bridal parties are better equipped with proper enforcers!!

How is mom married if she never got divorced? Sorry, but the details matter to me!

  • @Reilakai

So he said that his parents were still legally married but living separately when his dad died, ergo no legal obligation to pay child support so his mom couldn’t sue the estate for child support but she would be father ahead suing because she was still legally his wife. She probably wouldn’t win no matter what and she is definitely the a****** here I’d strongly recommend to him therapy, boundaries and mid to low contact as soon as he is able to especially with step dad

The 7 yr old that inherited. That’s exactly why the dad set the mortgage up in a trust. Any expenses have to be approved by the trust’s executor. College costs. Home costs. Tc are all payed by the trust directly. Money doesn’t get handed to the trustee. His bills will get payed by the trust. Not to him. This is done to avoid people from draining their funds unadvisedly.
So mom and stepdad can’t get access to any of it and you can’t give any to anyone.

With Story 4 I understand the other drama that she starts, but my husband and I both would be upset if my sister in law wanted us to walk down the isle with different people.... For what reason? We would have a discussion with the bride and tell her if we can't walk together we're both out.

If you force/manipulate someone into doing something, it wouldn't be "compassion" anyway... It would be coercion.

Omg. Im so angry about story number 6. Like my son is autistic and if his dad and i divorce, i would pray that he got a step mom like this wonderful woman. I would literally cry tears of joy knowing that my son would be just as loved and supported at his dads house that he was receiving at my house. But biomom dumped her daughter, she isn't even really in this girls life. What did biomom expect? That her daughter wouldn't fill the gaping hole left in her life by the fact that her mom didn't want to "put up with her"? God this one really upset me.

I'm sorry, did she just say her MOH overheard that her fiance might be cheating and then time skipped to honeymoon and husband? What? I know love makes fools of all mankind but Cupid is basically doing a aerial cha cha cha with red flags and the bride is going "awwww that's so sweet. Look at him celebrating our Love" while the groom's entire back is damp with sweat "Yeeeaah. That's great, but it's time to do our vows." while whispering to his friends "Get that little backstabbing fly boy snitch out of here."

Whoa whoa, you got stuck in your own head there with Story 4. The bride accepted OP's offer cause she's a friend not because she was acknowledging fault, and the bride is also the one that kicked the other girl out of the bridal party so she could have OP back. As usual, its the moms in the story that want to make their opinions heard that goes against the bride and OP.

You don’t have to be on the spectrum to be very particular about things-give me a shirt with an itchy tag on the neck and watch me lose it.
