To the stories about broken trust. I explain to my kids that trust is like a bridge. It takes a LOT of pieces (or actions) to build a bridge. But it only takes 1 stick of tnt (or action) to blow it up. Then it's not just a matter of building it again. You have to clean up the damage and rubble before you can start to rebuild.
For the 1st story, the child's Mama needs to become "Mama Bear." That sweet baby has already lost her most important person. You agreed to raise her, and part of that includes protecting her from any/everything in her world (to the best of your ability.) The fact that she had to ask if she was in the wrong scares me for this little girl's future. 😢
Story 1: when OP gives birth MIL will favor that child over the daughter. This will cause major issues among the children.
My 12 year old thinks it’s funny when he makes his 1 year old sister laugh! My 12 year old gets mad at me, if he feels like I’m talking to loud to his sister! My 12 year old was playing on his vr she was learning how to walk around this time, he accidentally knocked her, she cried! He got off his game to confront her!! This is not what kids do to babies!!! Especially at that age! They maybe jerks to each other when they are around the same age, or maybe a few years older, but babies!! Nah something isn’t right if they get all happy making a baby cry!

The fact that in story one she had to stick up for herself and her new daughter against future in-laws. I'd leave. Leave him. If you can't protect your new family from your mom you don't deserve them.

Story 1 Sounds like MiL is family rules.
The story with the bag also happened to Bethany frankly, who is a pretty wealthy personality. She tried to go into a channel store in casual clothes and they refused her entry without an appt. The person obviously didn’t recognize her. She actually did a short on you tube she was so fired up and the rash judgement by her dressed like a regular person.
I so need an update for the first story. And the second story😅
That baby lost her parents and thankfully has people who loved her mom and love her and will keep her memory alive for her! I would be beyond proud of whoever in my life was taking on a childs care and the trauma to give them a good life after their parents passing! OP is a flashing green flag!!!

The last story reminds me of some of the local celebrities here in hawaii. They look like every other local and go into an expensive store in surf shorts and slippah. 😂😂😂 If they get judged they get extra kolohe about it.
Also, narcissists don't isolate you all at once - it's a grooming process. I was given targets. Your friend ___ is so jealous of you and she's stabbing you in the back when she says, "____." Your sister doesn't really like you, because otherwise she "___." Dusty seems like he has personal experience because of how he explained emotional abuse. I'm glad he has Candy now. She seems to have help him heal.
40:50 smashing someone’s face into a cake is actually dangerous, their are often pipes and candles (for birthdays) I’ve heard of people losing and eye do to a candle on the cake.
It’s not “harmless,” if the cake was big or tiered high enough to also ruin her dress, she could of also gotten seriously injured.
If I were her I’d also sue him.
Must just be a Jake thing cause my stepbrother (also a Jake) acts the same way, doesn't believe in consequences, and still thinks it's unfair to pay for his bad behavior. It's my stepdads fault for putting the only male child in the family (2 stepsisters, I'm female) on a pedestal and treating him like he could do no wrong. Stepdad still does this even after his son went to jail for doing something horrendous and, in my mind, unforgivable. He should've served more time than he did and actually dealt with the consequences of his actions.
My son looked like a little nat geo caveman for a solid month 😂 a lot of newborns don't look like either parent for a while as A LOT of newborns look odd mine included😂 he was perfect to me and is a handsome little dude but he looked slightly alien when he came into the world

Story 5, He took care of the cake so it wouldn't have wooden dowels in it. Yes, wedding cakes have support dowels in them.
Tiered cakes especially!!! He planned it so he wouldn't physically hurt her and could smash her into the cake. That is malicious forethought, she's right to have left him.
Story 6- Regardless of if this is a baby or not! This can easily leave an impact on her and trauma is real! Like honestly! It’s not just her ears the constant scaring her can seriously scar her for life mentally! This poor child!

Scaring the baby story: If the father gets visitation I bet the father will step in and punish the kid when mom's not there to quiet the screaming kid...
“Cake boy” I’m sure one of his friends would have a copy of the photographer’s picture. For any guy that this is funny or ok….. be aware that bakers add large wooden dowels into a stacked cake for stability. You could very well jam her head/ eyes into a dowel.
Her dad or brothers should have handled taking him outside with his brother to “discuss his actions “ with him.
You asked him not to. You told him not to. He did it anyway. When the new in law’s start trying to justify his actions they should be reminded that “He’s YOUR son. You raised him.”
If he’s afraid of his brother, he got a whooping at some point from his brother or he wouldn’t be afraid of him.
