@@ruthlessadmin that answer is two years in the making for you! I went to see them in 1994 and again in 1999 or 2000. Both shows were amazing. In the second one they were playing a place that had a balcony in about 2/3 of the way into the show someone jumped off the balcony into the crowd. 😳

@@jeragenhope6822 They've spent the past few decades working this as it is ... a nice liquid that stains clothing and hair. Oh it does wash out, just not immediately. My best friend who's blond, had pink tinted hair for a good week or more after a show in Richmond a few years back.
Pretty sure AC/DC saw into the future and wrote this song for GWAR. Perfect combination, if ever there was such a thing.

So if youre sitting there thinking people just hate the band to hate it, look at what GWAR is doing and see it from their point of view. But if you can’t do that then I can see what kind of person that makes you. Their instruments are good. And that’s also an opinion just like liking or disliking the band and there is nothing wrong with that. So although I probably would enjoy the rest of your music preference, I say let’s agree to disagree on this one. ;)

In February my knee went out at Anthrax concert while Exudus was playing. Someone bumped me nor realizing and shot me out of the pit into a bunch of people. People stopped and got me to safety and worked with security and some of the roadies to get all my stuff returned by the time Exudus was done. I felt bad about accidentally hurting some of the other people but they laughed it off and chalked it up as their turn to torture the favor. The jokes about how they'd explain things were something like "Exudus was playing toxic waltz and I'm rocking out. Then all of a sudden an old fat guy comes flying out of nowhere and plows right into me!"
Love this era of GWAR. The music, the costumes and the great shows all make a great comeback

This is the first hard rock song that got me into metal.Cuz I started looking through records and cassettes,and even 8 track to buy any metal albums I could find.Damn this song brings back the good old days of buying music you take home.And can't wait to hear.

This was near fucking perfect. The old school Gwar I remember most fondly: nothing but balls to the wall metal and mayhem throughout. And with a healthy dose of rock and roll, testing the members’ mettle who were filling new roles. They all performed here like true rockstars as usual and the result is something special and significant. At least to me, this was when I began to hear them as Gwar again. The loss of Brockie was never not noticed, but this was like a rebirth of Gwar to me. They’ve proved their staying power since then. The surviving members have never given up and never given in to the way this industry can end your band when you make changes in the lineup, changes in the musical genre. They proved that if fans love your music enough they’ll accept your theatrics, no matter how risque or distasteful. Gwar proved they can make this work. They can actually do this shit - they make Gwar the band that never dies. Gwar could be the band that lasts for a thousand years, Dave said, and I truly think he believed that, maybe they all truly believe that and that’s why they’re still banging today. They weren’t wrong so far! It was so awesome to see Bishop back with Gwar, carrying on the legacy for all its worth and more. I miss Dave as much as any fan and I can only imagine what the other members of Gwar have gone through but I’m just so happy they kept this shit going just like Brockie wanted. This was a beautiful show. Great crowd, great performance and recording, it’s what we Gwar fans keep coming back for. Never let this stop, please for the love of Elvis, never quit that Slave Pit.

@@willdpe1256 look will, i took Brockie’s loss hard for years myself, but that’s no reason to be a dick to the rest of the band - people he trusted and appreciated, people he basically lived with. Brockie would dick-slap you in the ass for talking about the other members like that. This was what Brockie wanted, for gwar to continue forever. Obviously they can’t keep all the OG members. It’s not the same without Dave, it’ll never be the same, but I’m glad they are still going.
Seeing GWAR live was something I'd never thought I wanted or needed in life, but I am glad I got the chance & managed to come away unscathed from the all the blood!
Oderus can never be fully replaced... but it's crazy seeing this band with a singer with some old school metal range

Years ago I was a first responder at Heavy Montreal and Gwar started their show. I called central to warn the two teams in front of the stage to move NOW! The response was to not use the radios for non-emergency calls. Ok, this is going to be fun!
You see I was the only one who knew Gwar, and the blood spraying...
Well the two teams got sprayed big time! We wore nice white shirts :). The crowd loved it! Imagine the commotion when 4 first responders showed up at the main clinic covered in “blood” from head to toe! Paramedics were freaking out! It took some explaining to calm everyone...
At the end of Gwar , I went on the air again. I just said “this is echo 5, I warned you!” The only response was “ya....”
Got a similar reaction going into a convenient store after a show of theirs in Richmond, VA and 3 or 4 employees of the local hospital came in on break/after shift.

I've never actually heard a GWAR tune despite all I've heard about them. I was a bit surprised at how well they covered AC/DC in this case. With all the visual antics aside, they sound like a tight band (from this performance anyway).
They have their moments. Listen to “I hate love songs”. It’s a classic. A lot of their stuff is tongue in cheek, though (like “F^&%ing An Animal”).

I saw Gwar a week ago when they rolled through Houston. if you haven't seen them live yet you NEED to make it a priority. I've been to PLENTY of shows, that show was hands down the most fun. my face literally hurt after from smiling so much lol such a good band live too. they are tight as hell. and their guitars always sound sexy as fuck. I hope they keep going for as long as fucking possible. Oderus would be proud.
