Holy crap. I didn't know Gwar could lay down some sick guitar like this. Guess I was in the dark.
Richard Powell my dude investigate a little further you won't be disappointed. The guitar solos and outlandish lyrics on some songs is what got me hooked. Dont like all theit stuff but they have sick guitar solos most of the time. Reminds me of the guitar hero 3 final vs Big Lou the devil boss. These guys just know how to fucking rock straight up even after having lost dave and the old guitarist.

Early GWAR has good guitarists, but Corey Smoot who unfortunately passed a little before Brockie really pushed the role in the albums to new levels. Lust In Space, War Party, and Bloody Pit of Horror had several songs written by him alone on each.
Something purely metal on varped, nice! Also their guitar tone is great.
The 2 guitar harmony at 2:30 is great too
They had Municipal Waste on Warped this year as well. It was fun to add some metal to the mix

Though I never had a chance to see Brockie live, I do think Bishop was worthy of stepping in as the new lead. Don't get me wrong, I dig Brockie's voice and personality. He was a musical and comic genius, and GWAR will never be the same without him, but Bishop is doing a great job so far of continuing the GWAR legacy. I've seen the band twice in the past year and they rocked the house both times! This video highlights his awesome new style brought to the band. Long live Oderus and long live GWAR!
Cool place to park was one of my favorites as a kid, that had Bishop on vox.
Bishop is the proper successor. Ive seen both singers, Dave will never be topped but Bishop kills.

ultimateAI I was at the first Warp tour, I saw Sick of It All, Orange 9mm, Quicksand and L7. The atmosphere was crazy and kids like me that let the fuck loose. I recently saw videos of current warped tour bands and it completely fuckin' sucked and seemed like one huge Coca-Cola ad, safe and boring. I guess a band like GWAR wouldn't make any sense to today's sjw youth. Granted there are few that get it and to those youngsters Thank You and please spread the word!

Gwar shouldnt have been on the tour this year or any other year for that matter. Not only do they not fit in with most of the music and scene people come for, after the meme wears off that you are seeing a "joke metal band" with terrible music and silly fantasy costumes you get covered in red piss after having to stand in the sun for 6 hours watching good bands.
In what way is it a meme, the organizers reach out to bands to play not the other way around. The warped tour started as a bunch of punk and alternative bands doing a festival. The creators did it because it was bands they wanted to see come together. Bands like nofx, pennywise, the casualties ect make their own fun with pranks and hanging out all day
