@@peterrosqvist2480 no problem. I'm wondering if this part of an actual game mod or just a modded scene myself. Pretty high quality as far as script, presentation, and concepts go. The modified ocarina notes would be cool if they were implemented

That would have been absolutely mind blowing to be able to go back thru time instantly with the song instead of having to travel to the temple of time. I just think they hadn't thought about that. 😂
I imagine an Ocarina where you can learn this song to change between adult and kid without moving in the timeline could introduce all sorts of possibilities for endings. Like how Link is old enough to go to the temple of Light and is able to beat Ganondorf to the triforce!!! Therefore safeguarding the world from Ganon. But then the timeline would become a paradox wouldn't it? Technically Link would need to forfeit years of his life for it to not destroy the triforce. Just reverting back to a kid would basically DESTROY the tri-force or Link OR BOTH.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Loom I have a modding request. Did you play Loom? Predecessor of Monkey Island. In Loom, you play songs to activate effects and play them backwards to activate opposing effects. I can imagine how Nintendo was inspired by this but didn't implement it fully because they thought it too complex. They mildly brought the game mechanic back in Majora's Mask where playing Song of Time backwards or with double notes activates different effects. Song of Healing is the melancholic inversion of the joyful Saria's song. I'm certain this mechanic was originally intended for Ocarina of Time, since all standard songs are playable backwards and double. Even Bolero of Fire fits in the scheme quite well. I remember trying Inverse Zelda's lullaby to wake up Malon's father, Tal-ah-on, as Adult Link but was disappointed when it worked with the hatched Cucco instead. Inverse Zelda's lullaby was later used in Skyward Sword as main theme. Coincidence? Certainly not. I'm sure they already wanted to implement the mechanic in Ocarina of Time, but various reasons didn't make it happen. A mod implementing this game mechanic would be awesome. My proposals for different songs include: Song of Time: Transforms to Adult Link on map. Song of Time backwards: Transforms to Young Link on map. Song of Time double: Transforms to Sage Link or Fierce Deity Link on map. Needed for Final Boss fight. Inverse Song of Time double: Transforms to Baby Link. Joke. Or is it? Zelda's lullaby: Puts NPCs and enemies in a radius to sleep. Zelda's lullaby backwards: Wakes NPCs and enemies in a radius. Especially Malon's father, Tal-ah-on. Note: Main theme of Skyward Sword. Song of Awakening's mechanic in Majora's Mask was inspired by this. Song of Storms: Let it rain. Song of Storms double: Let it snow. Song of Storm backwards: Let rain/snow stop. Saria's song: Lets NPCs and enemies in a radius dance with joy. Saria's song backwards (= Song of Healing from Majora's Mask): Makes NPCs and enemies in a radius stop dancing, stop moving, feeling depressed. Note: Especially dancing couple from marketplace/Kakariko could be stopped dancing. Why do you think the atmosphere in Majora's Mask is melancholic from the beginning? It's the melancholic inversion of joyful Saria's song, reused. Saria's song double: Makes dancing twice as fast (e.g. couple in Castle town/Kakariko). Saria's song backwards double: Inverses spin direction of dancing, e.g. dancing couple. Sun's Song: Changes time from night to day. Because there's originally two inverse songs: Sun's Song and Moon's Song. Moon's Song double or Sun's Song and Moon's Song combined: Spawns blood moon. Note: The blood moon theme from BotW/TotK is actually a remix of OoT's Sun's Song and Moon's Song combined. Epona's song: Attracts NPCs, animals and enemies in a radius. Option yes/no to call for Epona. Epona's song backwards: NPCs, animals and enemies in a radius flee. Option yes/no to despawn Epona if she's on map. Epona's song double: Doubles Link's speed like Bunny Hood in Majora's Mask. Epona's song double backwards: Returns Link's speed to normal. Bolero of Fire: Activates Din's Fire. Bolero of Fire backwards: Puts out fires in a radius including Link if he's burning. Allows to stay in hot areas like Death Crater for a set time. Song of Soaring: Sets a Farore teleporter. Song of Soaring backwards: Teleports back to the Farore teleporter. Song of Protection (New): Activates Nayru's protection for a set time, thus ensuring protection from damage taken in the future. Song of Protection backwards (New): Heals for a set or variable amount of hearts, thus ensuring protection from damage taken in the past. What we can see here is how Ocarina of Time was originally intended, but cut off in early game development. Inverse Saria's song was used in Majora's Mask (as Song of Healing), Inverse Zelda's lullaby in Skyward Sword (as main theme), Sun's Song and Inverse Sun's Song in BotW/TotK (as Bloodmoon theme). Some magic songs were transformed into spells of Din, Farore and Nayru. Sun's Song does both day and night effects. Why are there two inverse twin brother ghosts then? Song of Storms' rain can't be deactivated because it doesn't affect the game anyway (BotW/TotK anyone?). Wake up by inversed Zelda's lullaby was replaced by Cuccos. Options to transform between Child Link and Adult Link on map were cut entirely. I say we have to bring these back. Do you agree? What are your ideas for inverse songs? Think this mechanic can be implemented by modding community? Hope you enjoy the idea.
I do wish learning the songs involved playing the full song. I can understand only needing to play the first few notes after you have already learned it, for convenience, but at least the first time should require playing the full song. The game doesn't even care about your timing, so it wouldn't be that difficult. It just seems somewhat pointless to even have the whole learning cutscene if it only takes 6 notes.
