Ron, there's an old saying that your
Recoveries reminds me of:SLOW IS
FAST, FAST IS SLOW. I'VE watched a multitude of your videos and it is so
Applicable to your methods of work
No matter the size or location of the
Job..
I am a retired old fart that watches a lot of youtube videos and stumbled onto your channel. I was really impressed with your professionalism and have watched all your videos. My wife got interested as well. I hadn't realized how much she had learned until we watched a left coast towing company pull a truck out of the sand. She was opining that they had the wrong angle and should have blocked the wheels when trying to set the trailer back on the road. "Boy, that sure isn't the way Ron would have done it!" . Thanks Ron and we really enjoy your rescues. God Bless.
I worked for a farmer who had a single axle Chevy dump truck that had been on its side at least once a harvest season. He told me I was the only person who ever drove that truck that hadn't laid it down. One day cutting silage we were in a field that was pretty steep and he said on the radio that today might be the day. He was using a dump wagon and he was above me with my left side to the wagon. Of course that meant that when he dumped into the truck most of the weight would be on the downhill side and it would want to tip over. I told him as soon as the load left the dump wagon to get it out of the way because I'd be turning the truck loose on a hard right turn under all the power the truck had. Turned out we had an audience of the rest of the crew who had made bets on how many times the truck would roll over. They all lost because not one of the four thought it was possible to not roll the truck.
Take care, God bless.
ROFL, Score one for PHYSICS!
Well it makes sense why they've all rolled it then.
Doug it doesn't take much for most to have COMMON SENCE...GREAT JOB OF KEEPING IT UP... DID YOU GET TO BET?
ROTFLMBBO 😁🤸♀️😁🤸♀️😁
Found your channel a couple of weeks ago, great job and professionalism and like all the references to the Good man upstairs.
I love going back to old videos and seeing how things where done vs now a days
Ron.. I love the way you managed to get that dump truck upright and down the hill with all the obstacles in the way, including a building.. an excellent practical lesson in physics and geometry.. I hope kids in school who don't see why these are useful were paying attention.. Awsome job as usual.. Thank you for sharing it..
I am amazed at how much is involved in some of your recoveries. I never realized how involved it was.
Mister Ron I'm a new subscriber to your Channel and I want to take the time out to let you know I enjoy every single one of your videos and I always give a thumbs up even on the old videos you are very experienced and what you do for a living and I also like how you think about safety first that is the number one key to any job that you do in life being safe well anyway thank you for all your great videos I look forward to every single one of them
Welcome to the community. I hope you continue to enjoy and learn from the channel. Glad to have you. Thanks for watching and God bless.
I never realized how challenging a recovery can be until I watched this video. I was super impressed with the way you thought out what you needed to do in advance. You definitely have a talent and a lot of patience. Thank you for sharing this and I know that our God will continue to bless you
Wowers that's crazy. Can't wait to see ur next videos. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friend tow on God bless
Your measure of safety and knowledge of pulling angles is something to behold. That's not something you can learn overnight. Your employees should be proud to have such a mentor. God bless.
Your videos are the best I have seen in years . You always have something new and exciting Thank you so much
Ron you are so precise of what to do and you are teaching that young man man how to do it correctly and not slacking
Thank you for watching and God Bless!
Love your patience and teaching methods
Well executed, small amount of planning, a lot of rigging, and little moves at a time. Really enjoy watching.
Ron, another professional job well done! Thought about you earlier when I saw a military 8-wheel, 5-ton, recovery vehicle that flipped in a ditch. No injuries, Thank God! Took 2 large wreckers to right it and get the road clear. I wanted to identify the trucks but couldn't impede traffic to see. I wondered how Ron and Midwest would have handled it. I see things in a whole new way. Some towing is predatory and malicious but you are the good side who is truly a good person and family. I got one of y'all's hats a while back and thanks to Lauren for the personal note. God Bless you and the entire Pratt family for being such good people and sharing it in these days when there is way too much negativity. Keep postin' and I'll keep watching and liking!! God Bless!!!
Mr. Pratt and his miraculous "little" 73,000 lbs. rotator. I like this video. Thank you for posting it. Cheers
Had so much fun watching without commercials!. And one more thing, LOVE THAT TURBO!!!
Thanks for watching and God bless.
I like your patience and understanding toward your employees. Very good boss to them I proud of your business attitude. I wish I had a boss like you. God Bless and be safe at there.
Yet another great recovery you always make it look so easy
Thank you. Some jobs come out better than others. This one was fun. Thanks for watching and God bless.
39:55 "Don't forget to free-spool." LOL :-D
Job well done. Love it when everything falls into place in the end.
This job went well, at least I thought it did. Thanks for watching and God bless.
Hey Ron Pratt this is blake I a fan of your channel on RUclips so you need my email address you ask me for it
Genius approach to the job at hand. Mike is a great worker. You really know your stuff Ron
Ron, To repeat your expression, "beautiful, beautiful, beautiful". Can tell you love it when 'a plan comes together'. Mike also doing a fine job following directions. Best! -Ed
May God bless and protect you also! I am impressed about how you do these recoveries without doing any more damage.
Hello Sir I Love the content great work I live in Macon Missouri and my dad is a full time truck driver. I love waking up in the mornings and watching your content. Keep up the great work.
Always interesting to watch the plan work out. Mike seems like such a easy going guy to work with and it helps to have a great boss.
Another great job done by you two.always a professional job.
Another great example of recovery by Ron & Mike great job
I don't know if it's weird or not but I just love the sound of the big hooks clipping into the D rings and the weight of all that stuff sounds cool when it clanks
Clever using the excavator as a pull point. Nicely done Ron.
Very interesting and informative. My favorite recovery channel by far!
This guys production quality is up there with Reponut's before he went off the rails (not a dig at Matt it's understandable considering what he went through).
I just starter watching your video's recently. I have been impressed with all the versatility you have with the equipment and your knowledge of how to put it to good use. I liked the geometry comment. I always enjoyed math and geometry. This is part of the reason I ended with a Mechanical Engineering degree.
Nice video Ron. Nice to see more of Mike helping out on the big rig
Mike is coming along very well. He seems to have a "gift" for recovery. Much like anything else, some people have it and some don't. Thanks for watching and God bless.
A real interesting video to watch. Always cool to see how you set it up and do it without causing further damage.
The knowledge you have in these situations is just astounding! Great work!
Thank you very much. God bless.
Sir Ron: I'am a hooligan of you and your work. Francisco Eguía. Pamplona, Navarra España. I like to improve my english and your videos helping in thas hobby.
As always a professional job.
MAY GOD be with you, protecting you and your men from harm
Another enjoyable video of "A Man and His Truck."
Nice to watch you work the angles. A competent beast with a competent master.
What a great job in that slick mud and always room to learn ...... Love the looks and operation of the trucks ...
Thank you letting us watch Ron god be with you and yours.
Ron, perfect as always, a pleasure to watch you work
Great video. Always enjoy watching a master at work. Greetings from Melbourne, Australia.
As always a plesure to watch and pick up some tips thank you Ron Pratt for sharing.
You are one Organized Guy. Your wife either Loves it or Hates it. 😬 My guess is she Loves it. 👍 Keep up the Strong Effort. Thanks!
Ron, i have been in the towing bizz for over 30 years, your professionalism is outstanding and you do a great job. I was always told by my teachers ( a few old timers that been in towing and recovery most of their lives) i should always grab the tow points on the frame not the axles. It"s a matter of the frame is stronger than the axles and have several points witch is designed to take the stress of the winching. as always may god bless you and yours and stay safe out there, to many drivers loose their lives to passing motorist not giving us respect and moving over and slowing down.
Hi Ron good job mate take care and be safe
Thanks for watching and God bless.
I am glad the man was OK, Jim
That is always the best possible outcome. Vehicles can be replaced, people can't. Thanks for watching and God bless.
Beautiful job Ron love to watch someone that knows how to used chains snatch block . great job RON AND MIKE !!
Great recovery Ron. You almost got me sitting here as a back seat quarterback yelling get them rim slings.
As usual, Ron, you make it look easy...
Your comments are funny, I surprisingly paid attention in school too. Your number 1 in my book.
Mighty fine little upright and recover job. I just love your attitude and manors. I enjoy your videos but it is a bit of a bitter sweet as I was forced to give up recovery as a job and motorsports recovery as a hobby due to bad health. Well done from a ex recovery operator. Best wishes from Inverness Scotland. Stay safe.
Nice job Ron enjoy watching you guys
Thank you very much. God bless.
Amazing recovery Ron, you make it look so easy. I really enjoy your vids totally new respect for tow operators.
Mike is a good hard worker
Very nice. You da men, Ron & Mike. Hopefully I will never need your services. Safe travels.
Man has to do what he has to do to get the job done well done Ron and Mike. Stay safe and GOD BLESS.
Super plan using the excavator. Mike has a lot of info to learn about recovery- I wish him success!
Mike is learning quickly. I believe he will do well. Thanks for watching and God bless.
Wow so good to see how you set all that up, real impressive
Another great recovery! I also paid attention in Geometry Class, but there was no practical application for it as good as this - fulcrum points, leverage, center of mass, coefficient of friction - you've got to be aware of all those aspects.
Thats a weird way to dump gravel out of your dump bed.
TheDisorderly1 Lol! 😂
But it is a super fast way and sometimes time is of the essence.
You've never seen those side dumps before? :)
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing but kinda rough on the truck.
That wasnt what the his boss had in mind when he asked him to "Roll out".
Thank you Ron, you and your crew did an Awsome Job 🖒🙏
Great video. Love the fast-motion recap at the end.
I like how professional you are.
Nicely done, Ron. Thanks for sharing. Stay safe. #SlowDownMoveOver
Another well done job by "Ron & His Fantastic Crew"
Sir Ron: The last operation was marvelouse, very amusing and amazing. The mathematical 75 year old. Francisco Eguía

Awesome job Guys..love your video's..God Bless You All....by the way my grandson loved the video's I showed him..
I see you guys are having a mud-fest out there as well. We've been working on our new shop, putting siding on, and were ankle deep in mud the entire time. Freeze, thaw, freeze, thaw! 50° today, snow storm tomorrow, and mid 60's forecast for next week!
Great video. Always enjoy seeing how you get equipment rubber-side-down again. Thanks as always for taking us along on your adventures! May God bless you all, and keep you all safe. :)
Good job ! The machine is securely fastened. Hello from Russia!
Another great video Ron thanks for making it. Have fun and stay safe.
Thanks for watching and God bless.
You & your guys
Never cease to amaz me.👍🙏🍀

Your video brightings my day
Another piece of great work, Mike looks to be coming along just fine. Keep safe my friend and god bless
My thoughts exactly on both accounts , Love watching Ron's video's. 😉
Yes, Mike is doing quite well. He will make a great operator some day. Thanks my friend and God bless.
Great video, loved the we'll just flip it... 😂
Wow, time flies when you're enthralled watching, didn't notice how long the video was until the end.
Once, twice, maybe four times... I love Ron's dry wit.
I TOTALLY ENJOYED WATCHING THE VIDEO RON 😊
thank you for sharing Ron GOD bless everyone
I really enjoy your videos mate, so keep them coming! Cheers.
Great video as usual.. I guess it's a lot of improvisation that comes with this line of work if I say that correctly.. In some weird way it reminds me of my tree cutting days and using winches and other heavy gear to bring huge trees down safely.. Anyway.. Thanks for sharing greets from the Netherlands..
Family member who was up to 31 employees and 9 trucks at one point says he will only hire farm/country boys, the "city kids" could not deal with even the slightest weirdness on a tow. The country kids would figure out a way, a chain, a 4x4, pulley, whatever to make it happen and not just get on the phone and yell for the boss to come out and help! So, Just Human, running around on hard surfaces with a rollback or a wheel lift where everything is peaches and cream is fine (city stuff), but _every_ recovery job involves thinking on your feet, understanding angles and loads etc, Ron is a consummate Professional, others might get it done faster, but nobody can question his safety measures!
Great videos Ron greetings from Ireland retired long haul trucker,
Missouri Mud Roll, sounds like something yummy!
Ron, your videos are excellent. Being a techno nerd I would love it if you had a video walk around of your amazing rig. For instance, what does the panel do that is in the cab?
You have obviously done your PR work well as you get calls from the Sheriff and the state troopers. If definitely helps that you are always polite with them and keep damage down. Keep up the good work!
I TOTALLY AGREE, JOHN COOPER!!! I too have NOTICED THAT, RON has a VERY GOOD RAPPORT with LAW ENFORCEMENT, OTHER OFFICIALS and the GENERAL PUBLIC!!!
I AM SURE that IT HAS PLAYED a HUGE PART in the SUCCESS of HIS BUSINESS(and HIS PERSONAL LIFE, or so IT APPEARS)!!!
I'M VERY IMPRESSED!!! AS ALWAYS STAY SAFE, GOD BLESS and GOOD WISHES... LOVE IT❤❤❤
i wish that i could drive a big truck like your pete
Ron i use a little mans helper around the house and i am 5ft,11in. and i feel short at times . ha,ha. god bless and keep safe .
Good Job Ron!
Playing Pool...... that’s what made geometry make more sense... memorizing the shape and angle names just added confusion.... but.... boy wouldn’t this be a great lesson to 4th & 5 the graders and high school kids of how the maths is necessary in life. Block and tackle never made sense till I was talking to someone about cranes and that lifting and such..... but this would be so much easier set up to take to a classroom or the classroom come to you on a field trip. Perhaps some practical hands on of how it all works. Not too many kids learn from just a book and practice paper. Hands on real life is the best way to learn and encourage additional learning and greater understanding.
Ouch. That was an expensive slide. Great work and video, as always.
Thankfully the truck doesn't look like it came out too roughed up, should be able to get a salvage hood on an old truck like this for a few hundred bucks could probably sweet talk the scrap yard into throwing in a mirror assembly at the same time.
That is one amazing piece of equipment. I have helped work with old cable up to hydraulic boom and wheel lift to rollback. Amazing. You could have used duct tape or electric tape to hold those u joint caps on. No dirt, cleaning and wouldn’t loose anything.
i just love all the odd jobs u and ur crew get into and i know i should comment more on ur vids
Awesome video! Keep up the good work.
Thank you for a great video Ron . Best wishes & Stay safe ....
There's a bit of irony here. There were two ways to get the truck out. An easy way and a hard way. And the owner chose the hard way. Go figure. And Ron is just completely cool with the whole thing. He's something.
Looks like Mike is doing a good job.
