    The history of Rock ain’t nothing but the Blues.

    • @dennishealy3305
      @dennishealy3305 19 дней назад

      You are absolutely correct, it only exists because of the Blues of the Mississippi Blues Masters. So, are you saying that they shouldn’t have been influenced and played “copied” the legendary Blues Masters? I agree that they should have shared some/more Royalties with those who inspired them, no argument here. It is difficult for us laypeople to understand the actions that took place, so I won’t comment.

    • @dennishealy3305
      @dennishealy3305 19 дней назад

      But I am curious about is this, if LZ, Eric Clapton, The Rolling Stones and others had not ever shown their respect to their Blues heroes by traveling to Memphis and Southward into the Mississippi Delta to display their homage and respect to this legendary artists, would Blues music today be a forgotten art form? I think that everyone should be happy and grateful for how these Brit artists did go and make their pilgrimage to meet the Blues Masters. Of course they absolutely should have given compensation for how they shared their music and knowledge with those who soon thereafter made financial gains from their new found knowledge. But what I am putting forward is this question, “if none of these artists had ever been inspired enough to go through the effort of traveling into Mississippi to meet and learn the “REAL” Blues Masters, where would this genre of music be today? I understand the outrage about how the sharing of financial gains was not equally distributed, but my probe is about what would Blues based music look like today if those Brits had not come to the Delta? I think the music had the chance of being made obsolete

Why he gave it up is beyond me. maybe cause they moved away from the blues as they went on ? Not a lot of real blues after Since I've been loving You ,off three. Peace and Love

    Jimmy Page and Robert Plant say over and over their major influences were the black blues entertainers from Mississippi. America did not notice these guys from MS but many British bands did. OK..comment after I've seen this..great musicians play off each other..look how closely they stand together, watching each others musical clues..I dont think JPJ took his eyes of Bonham the whole time whilst Jimmy did his stuff up front with Robert's harmonica on his coat-tails..proper musicians, and yes bud, at this (relatively) early stage in their careers there was a lot of 'free-form'..Some of the original film had degredated so badly that a few stills were skilfully put in but it doesn't denigrate from the performance..I have to say , yet again. from this viewer/listener, thx P

    We landed on the moon just one short year earlier than this show. But this band took us to different worlds beyond our own celestial satellite. The universal language is math, with music merely a tonal extension. If we want to meet hip aliens, maybe Elon will send out a disc of the Zeppelin library. I think they'll like it. Very much.

    This is so annoying, I had to wait 30-40 years before seeing/hearing this stuff live without breaking Federal Laws. And these kids have their first introduction with the live stuff. Which is the circle of life actually. Zeppelin became big because the first generation to hear them heard them live and spread the news. I was stuck in the middle, very little live, but Bohnam was gone so no chance to actually see them. 40 years of listening to studio recordings sustained me, but how I wish my first impressions were born from live performances.
