It really isn't even an opinion. It's a fact. There has never and most likely will never be a group of musicians that did what these 4 did. Their music is beyond the compatibilities of what is thought to be possible.
As a teen I was a total Zep Head. I would sit in my room at night with the lights off, the headphones on and play two or three zeppelin albums. I had a lot of albums but, the ones i listened to over and over was Zeppelin. And I still love listening to Zeppelin. But, when I had kids and they became teens and young adults they discovered Zeppelin and listened to all the albums and loved them. This was late 90s, early 2000s. Now I am seeing young people doing reaction videos discover and fall under the spell and it is amazing. Led Zeppelin still reaches people all these years later. They still weave that spell of capturing the minds and hearts of young people and turn them into fans for life.
I absolutely agree. This song is beautiful. Page's gorgeous guitar line and Robert's melody.....what beauty. Fifty years gone and this song still gives me chills.
It warms my heart that young people are discovering and loving Led Zeppelin. There’s no one like them. I’ve been listening to them for decades and I still have the same feelings of amazement that you had to this day.
That was/is pinnacle Led Zepplin! This clip always sends shivers up my spine! I went to the Premiere of The Song Remains The Same and heard it in Quadraphonic on the big screen and it was completely out of this world!! I had to pick my jaw up off the floor outside the theater !
MAN! MAN! MAN! PLEASE! How can they be so talented! Did u hear tha' speed of Jimmy's playing @ all! And the transitions Did u hear it!!!!! MAN! No wonder their the best rockband ever Wow """"what @ song"""" Xxx.
The man was right , a1000 years from now people will still be listening to Led Zeppelin and who can blame them , I feel lucky to have grown up when they were conquering the music world and I was lucky enough to see him in 1977 in Michigan
The great thing about Zeppelin you never tired of listening to them. Great music like this never dies it just keeps getting better and better and better.....
Jimmy Page live was always walking the tightrope without a net. They had to keep their eyes on him, because even he didn't know where the hell he was going. That's just magical. No one does that anymore in Rock. Nice reactions Pope. Great journey you are on.
And you should listen to every Led Zeppelin song ever made!!! As far as this song, we all wanted to be the princess in the castle being rescued by Robert. It was my teenage fantasy for many years. You make me cry when you say those things, "majestic" about Zeppelin. They were the best.
Aloha, 48 trips around a star...lol...Love this song...Honolulu Starbright...saw em in Texas '77...RIP...Bonzo, excellent reaction...air guitar...I need more air guitar...Majestic...yes it rains on us all...no rain no rainbows...God's grace reigns on us all...Love, Peace, Aloha...
how lucky is the new generation to have LZ to experience?....this isnt like my generation who had perry como or andy williams...the new generation has the most soulful 4 four men put together ever....they even transcend soul...jimmy is now 79 will be 80 in jan ...jpj and rp will soon follow....and bonzo....long live LZ
😂 Yes, The Song Remains The Same Movie left an imprint on me! 😍 Plant made even little black girls in Harlem like me wanna be a Disney Princess rescued by Prince Robert. 😉 Ride that 🐴 horse down Malcolm X Blvd anytime he want! 😂🤣😂🐰
Music like that will never be produced again. In those days musicians were true artists that spent countless hours learning to play actual musical instruments unlike the clones of today that call themselves"artists" who let computers do the work. There are some entertainers who have talent these days but they're not Led Zeppelin
This is the performance (especially the rain song”) where I have seen multiple reactors reach the same conclusion… “these guys are aliens” or “these guys are not of this world”…. I can’t fault their logic. If I had a time machine my very first stop would be midtown Manhattan in late July 1973…
Gimme August 12, 1968, time machine! Then my favorite future stops would be pretty much every Zeppelin show I could possibly hit. With Japan 1971, ALL of 1972 (until perhaps October in Japan, if I *had* to bow out someplace), Europe March/April 1973, and this run at MSG being must-sees/can't misses. After '73, Led Zeppelin live performances weren't quite what they used to be (although they were still amazing at times).
I WAS AT THIS CONCERT !!!!!!! Me and my best friends always visited NY from DC and saw the LZ at Madison Square Garden marque so we ran to the box office just as the show was starting.and convinced the Will Call person to sell us 4 non retrieved tickets for $10 each! Running to our seats I could hear Plant singing "Hey Hey Momma" opening to Black Dog!!! It was a great day. Rain Song is such a mesmerizing deeply moving song!
I was born the day they actually played as Led Zeppelin (they played a handful of previous gigs as "The New Yardbirds" due to contract obligations. Look up their first gigs, Danish TV is the one that that best comes to mind. Love you my friend.
Check out every Zep tune, Pope? One of your reactor bros, in fact Soul Train Bro, already did it- every recorded Zep song, unreleased tunes, compilations, demos, the lot. Then he switched to doing every live performance too. He has impressive knowledge now... and he started just exactly like you did: zero, then tunes he had heard (in the military) but not known, stunned amazement, followed by grateful acknowledgement of their mastery of different genres.... a lasting happiness. Good luck, man.
Oh I will never forget when this came out as a Midnight show on screen, me and the buddys went had a few doobies and drinks before going in and it was fantastic
Water, rain, tears, pain, strings, love, rhythm, beats, steps ascension, majesty contention, invention dimension reflection reflexion, intention, flux golden, flax woven, love stolen, heroes emboldened, pinnacle, apex, best, best, best, best! The GOAT .... A soaring majestic performance this song deserved and in giving this tribute to their most remarkable creation they ensure their own humble place in times memorial and years innumerable ... LEGENDs ... our musical 'overlords' 🙏🤘🔥🔥🔥🔥
What remains the same is reaction to everyone who appreciates music's reaction to this other wordly awesomeness 1st time hearing. Sound orgasm basically.
I saw them live in 1977 at the Dallas County Convention Center in Dallas, TX. Plant has always been a great vocalist and draws you in with his lyrics and emotion. Page can play anything at any level and dances with his guitar. John Paul Jones is a wizard on the keyboard, bass, and mandolin. But John Bonham beautifully plays the drums harder than anyone I have ever seen and drive the song. Now when put some Zep on, .I just sit back, dim the lights, get a cold drink, sit back, shut my eyes and let the music take me on a mystical journey. So great not only to hear the tunes but to FEEL the tunes.
Led Zeppelin is one of the gifts directly from God he put those four musicians together and there's nobody like them nobody they will Outlast everybody there's a Beatles and Pink Floyd and Deep Purple The Rolling Stones they're all great but then there's led Zeppelin and they're way up above in the clouds nothing like them just a camaraderie and a gelling together of those four guys and there's nothing like that since
Now you know what kind of music us “old folks” are humming in our heads every day. We were blessed to grow up discovering all this good music our peers were putting out. It’s timeless. And we’re glad to be passing it on to you! 😘
I love Page’s frantic style. He play’s like he’s on the edge of chaos or disintegration like it could fall apart at any time, but he races on faster and faster. It gives the music an edge other bands never had. And,of course, he never does lose it. It’s just his way
I feel so fortunate to have been a teen in the early 70s. I got to see Zep live, 6th row center. Been to over a thousand rock shows now. I’m 63, and you are never too old to rock n roll!!
Yes! (I mean Zep) Led Zep ballads are magical. Going through the whole catalog would not be wasted time. They were a great live band but be sure to hit the studio versions too. 1973 God, back then, people had no access to videos of the live shows. If you didn't see the concert all you heard and knew was the album version (still great though). This is a golden age since the concert videos are all right here on RUclips.
My 1984 yearbook says Zeppelin Forever in my farewell. I'll never regret it. All music appreciation changed when I heard them as a child. Eye opening band. Hard to follow.
Wen u listen keep in mind the hobbit and lord of the 💍 s the songs ramble on kashmir stairway and no quarte plant is heavily into medieval and folklore
He got the horse from the mushroom🤣🤣. That whole sequence after the mushroom was him tripping from the mushroom. This is probably my favorite songs from the Album. Next you need to get your mind relaxed and watch Dazed and Confused from this concert BUCKLE UP!!
Good to see young people rockin to led ZEP!!! OVER THE HILLS AND FAR AWAY-/-RAMBLE ON-/-GOING TO CALIFORNIA-/SO MANY TO PICK FROM,. YOU CANNOT MAKE A BAD CHOICE.... 🌸
It's so awesome to see young people like you getting into classic rock the way you do. I don't think today's music could ever match the what was created in the 60's and 70's imo. Keep rockin' ✌️
This is REAL music. Can you believe how good this is??
Jimmy Page, guitars, is frinkin Awesome
jimmy was on fire that night.this show mustve inspired hundreds of thousands to pick up a guitar. the mighty led zep in all their glory on display.
jimmy was definitely at his best right here...its also before the drugs started taking over...
They were, are and WILL ALWAYS BE the ultimate rock band.
It really isn't even an opinion. It's a fact. There has never and most likely will never be a group of musicians that did what these 4 did. Their music is beyond the compatibilities of what is thought to be possible.
So true, They were what all other Rock bands wanted to be.
Jimmy Page was so beautiful. His way of moving his form so uniquely without ever knowing it.
Yep I was born in 73 and I’m 48. And when my last day comes and the star bursts I will gladly do it with a Zeppelin song playing😎🤘🏼
As a teen I was a total Zep Head. I would sit in my room at night with the lights off, the headphones on and play two or three zeppelin albums. I had a lot of albums but, the ones i listened to over and over was Zeppelin.

I saw this movie in the theater back in 1977. I was 17. I'm 64 now and this song STILL gets into my soul.
"Upon us all a little rain must fall." Isn't that the truth. The Rain Song is so beautiful.
It's only the most beautiful song ever written and performed.
So true I tattooed it on my forearm. Powerful line man
👍 X 1,000
I absolutely agree. This song is beautiful. Page's gorgeous guitar line and Robert's melody.....what beauty. Fifty years gone and this song still gives me chills.
It warms my heart that young people are discovering and loving Led Zeppelin. There’s no one like them. I’ve been listening to them for decades and I still have the same feelings of amazement that you had to this day.
I love to watch Jimmy play guitar.
So glad that you discovered the magic that is Led Zeppelin, the greatest band of all time!
That was/is pinnacle Led Zepplin! This clip always sends shivers up my spine! I went to the Premiere of The Song Remains The Same and heard it in Quadraphonic on the big screen and it was completely out of this world!! I had to pick my jaw up off the floor outside the theater !
👍🇬🇧❤UNTOUCHABLE 🎸BEST EVER.....GOAT 👍
My husband was att this show, at 13, still brags about getting a big beer and a hot dog there!
Love The Led Zep!
The background music sounds like an orchestra, it's John Paul Jones on the organ.
MAN! MAN! MAN! PLEASE! How can they be so talented! Did u hear tha' speed of Jimmy's playing @ all! And the transitions Did u hear it!!!!! MAN! No wonder their the best rockband ever Wow """"what @ song"""" Xxx.
Thank you young man you have great taste
Love how you really let the song and energy flow through you and feel emotion. Great job!
JPJ is so underrated for his contribution to the sound and level of muscicianship of Led Zeppelin.
JPJ was a beast 💪
MUSIC TICKLES THE SOUL, HEALS ALL WOUNDS, CURES ALL EVILS!!! MUSIC IS THE WAY AND MEANS TO MOVE A PLANET!!! Led Zepplin are the Leaders!!!
THIS is so good I wanna cry
Jimmy Page is the greatest guitarrist ever.
Yes, with Jimi Hendrix!
Jimmy Page is the GOAT. His mastery is unmatched.
Nah. But he was in the best rock band ever.
And Ritchie Blackmore is instead a baseball player?🤔
You're all right 🤟
Dance Jimmy Dance!
The man was right , a1000 years from now people will still be listening to Led Zeppelin and who can blame them , I feel lucky to have grown up when they were conquering the music world and I was lucky enough to see him in 1977 in Michigan
They will, Jimmy Page truly captured the light and energy of the times in rock music
The rain song...just perfect in every way
Majestic is a good description of this song.
The Rain Song is a masterpiece. Great reactions to the very mighty Led Zeppelin.❤
Right on Pope! You are absolutely right, this bands music is timeless. Absolutely the best.☮️
The great thing about Zeppelin you never tired of listening to them. Great music like this never dies it just keeps getting better and better and better.....
This is so true. Probably the best band ever. They’re like the Avengers of rock music
What a handsome kid!!!! Great reaction!!
It's funny I'm 58 and I still keep hearing their music jn m my head
Welcome down the rabbit hole, young man.
Yes, he gets it..
So Jimmy is playing most of this song on a 12 string guitar, but switches to the 6 string to do the main solo! Always thought that was badass!
Yup. There u go. Thats led zeppelin for ya. I agree you do need to listen to every song...
You get it bro, now you get it!!!!
This dude knows his stuff and doesn't pauses to interject his thoughts.
Spot On .....GREATEST BAND ...BY FAR...IN HISTORY. YOU WILL NEVER SEE FOUR SUCH MAGICAL MUSICIANS. TOUCHED BY GOD. DEFINITELY

No one touches Led Zeppelin! They're in a different orbit.
you got to admit, when led zep were on their game.nobody can touch them.they could do it all.
They are always amazing...especially live! 48 years ago
how lucky is the new generation to have LZ to experience?....this isnt like my generation who had perry como or andy williams...the new generation has the most soulful 4 four men put together ever....they even transcend soul...jimmy is now 79 will be 80 in jan ...jpj and rp will soon follow....and bonzo....long live LZ

Yeah, 48, almost 49, years ago. My favorite rock band then, and now. They're pure genius and talent.
I want to go back to the 70's..... And never leave.... The magical 70's....
I was born the day they actually played as Led Zeppelin (they played a handful of previous gigs as "The New Yardbirds" due to contract obligations.

You need to watch this DVD from beginning to end. Pure gold!
My favorite Band of all time. Robert Plant my favorite but yeah whole band is majestic.

I love Wayne ♥️ His channel is amazing!!
I love how TSRtS is so fast and claustrophobic, then The Rain Song comes in and just sounds... open... peaceful

The midnight show of this movie was off the chain.. I believe the segments were each members finest dream
