This show was on Jimmy’s birthday and his mom gave him the sweater he is wearing Zeppelin are the ultimate badass rock group 50+ years !!!!
Didn't his mom knit that sweater for his birthday?
I believe so. If I remember correctly.
Can’t forget John Paul Jones….Killing it on Bass…probably the best musician in the band never gets enough love 😊
One of their all-time best shows....I have a complete soundboard recording of the entire show, and it is astonishing. Live early Zep greatness.
Cool! Sharing is caring ;)
@@PeterTea ha! If I reveal my source on YT....they'd get shut down. Its out there......
@@tektoniks_architects lol. No worries. I’ll peruse the usual bootleg channels to see.
Full Heartbreaker or the cut version?
It's amazing that anyone who can sing like that can play harmonica like that.
I wish Plant played it a little more often, he’s a great harmonica player, & we only get a few songs with it. I’m not saying every song, but a few more would have been wonderful.
Why is that amazing? Guy's got talent
You’re right BS, Zeppelin is a powerful force that goes straight into you! Rock on kids❤️
I've never heard this liveversion in my whole life. Fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is a good song.
Always listened to the whole albums of Led Zeppelin. No skips.
This 1970, the God’s of rock!
Love watching young Zep so clearly loving their lives, each other, their audience and the amazing music they were creating.
From 1968-72 the greatest ever #1
I want to go home. Back to the 70s❤
Yes ! Music ! Festivals !
Best time of my life.
Totally agree!
Yes. Led Zeppelin for hospital patients is a great idea. Love it from a 59Yo. And yes, you put the album on and no skipping songs.
Thanks for the Led Zeppelin
I love your reaction to Led Zeppelin ❤
Love the way the song starts out with traditional blues and then they put the Zeppelin to it.
We listen to the albums straight through because there was never a bad song, I've been listening since the first album and seen them live 7 times, plus Page & Plant 3 times, and Robert solo a few too....they're still the best in the business.
Love your response you really get the Zeppelin Magic
The call and response between Page and Bonham.👍
Hi GUYS! The GOATS!😎🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 That is one of the bands great preformances, and Robert’s was the star! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
more more more guys more zeppelin! love it. :)
Legendary . These guys were ridiculously tight
...and loose. 😂
😂
So talented
Fantastic reaction! You two are a great combination 👍🇬🇧
GREAT music/Bands are timeless.
That surely was the time of my life!! I was a teen in the 70s! Soooooooooo good!!!
Awesome times!
Yes I was too, living in at that time beautiful Miami, great music & going to the beach every free day I had. Went to concerts like every weekend, things were just more free & loving & exciting.
Electric Thunder ! The Mighty Zeppelin!
Robert on harmonica...very underrated...they can play anything
It does not matter if you don't like one or two of their songs, their ability to create a catalogue that move from one spectrum to another is the draw that makes you keep coming back. Their talent is expressed in so many ways and in every song they perform. They are truly an anomaly in the music industry. The greats rock group of all time.
❤❤❤Robert ❤❤❤
One of the few shots of Jimmy with his “black beauty” guitar. That has a whole epic story behind it too. It was stolen from an airport shortly after this show and did not resurface for almost 50 years until it ended up in some pawn shop and someone got curious, which led to quite the investigation of its authenticity. I believe they even used a still shot from this song’s performance to match the grain from the fret board to the same guitar in the pawn shop. Anyways, in the end, they “brought it on home” to Jimmy and he was reunited with his long lost love. The whole story is here somewhere on RUclips. 🎸
Wow. Great story 😄
I enjoyed sharing this reaction with you it's like hearing it for the first time..everytime..Led Zeppelin is truly a gift. Bravo for your choice 👏
hitting 60 been zephead since 7, now its a mood thing .if im happy stick a happy zep song on if sad , songs for every mood . brilliant reaction as usual guys . cheers
Love the song! But hell to me every song from the GOAT is great! 66 yo guy been a fan since 1969
I listen to at least a couple songs from them everyday and it never gets old!
When I first got into Zeppelin, I would generally listen to the album straight through, since I wanted to uncover all the gems they had, only to find out that they’re all gems. Now, decades on, I still listen to the full albums but generally will listen to a song or three from an album before going somewhere else. They’re definitely a great road trip band, just stick an album on and fly down the road.
Great reaction
With Led Zeppelin we always listened to the entire album, over and over.
Check out "Baby Come On Home" from Led Zeppelin...it was originally recorded before they released the first album (1968), but it wasn't released until their final box set in 1993...
It's still one of my favorites from them!
No skipping ❤
Ty for reaction! Love this tune. That riff is so dirty. Robert plays a mean harmonica imo. So true, doesn't matter what they do. Don't trust people who do not like Zep. ❤
Love it! ❤❤❤❤
I've been a Zeppeiln fan since about 1972, when I was 13 years old. In those days I listened mostly to entire albums because I seldom heard them on the radio. A little later I transferred my vinyl albums to cassette tapes mainly so I could listen to them in the car. Now I swap their songs in and out of my Spotify play list, except for about 10 that are permanent residents. I rarely listen to a full album now (except for Physical Graffiti which is my favorite of their albums which I listen to in its entirety once a year or so) because there is 50 years of great music since that also demands my attention.
Me too...since I was 10 in 1970!
I listen to Presence in it's entirety about every month or so. Same with TSRTS, minus Moby Dick except every so often.
Love your glasses Dominika 😃
Thank you! 😁
@MerchantOfAlba yes the specs 👓 🙌 👌
I remember Plant describing their album releases/reactions as coming in two phases. The initial impression when released, & then about a year later after they had time to be deeply embedded into memory a sort of second deeper realm of enjoyment was reached & that was the second phase. Enjoy your reactions, thanks!
“ The Ocean”, live video from Madison Square Garden in New York, 1973.
THE LEMON SONG is a must even though it is very suggestive.
The back and forth between guitar and drums, or guitar and harmonica is a version of a blues/gospel musical style known as “call and response”.
Can I get an amen!
Amen 😊 Thanks for explaining. Never knew about 'call and response' 💚
Great reaction...
This song always gives me "yummy noises" no B.S.
One of my all time favorites.
Thank you friends for sharing.
Name me a better rock band than Led Zeppelin. The GOATS Period.
The GODS of MUSIC! Nobody is better, not even The Beatles.
@@sicotshit7068 Jack Black said it best when he hosted the Kennedy Center Awards show. Couldn't agree more!
@@SmokeyTreats I loved that, definitely funny & true.
This is why so many people think theye the best to ever do it
classic!
good question when we bought albums we played them through, start to finish
A Led Zeppelin IV!! Good for what ails you!!
In music, “call and response” is a compositional technique, often a succession of two distinct phrases that works like a conversation in music. One musician offers a phrase, and a second player answers with a direct commentary or response. The phrases can be vocal, instrumental, or both.
I really like this performance, especially since we don't get to see enough of Plant playing a harmonica, and the connection that Page and Bonham had was incredible, great to watch. Fun reaction, thanks! :)
Edit: I sometimes listen to specific songs but I often listen to an entire album, or one side of an album, skipping nothing.
If someone says they don't like Zep the reason is they are jealous that they are better than the band they like. FACT.
Top 3 rock voices of all time
Back in when I started listening to Zeppelin, we played the whole side. They were vinyl discs. In the first few weeks after a release we would play both sides but after that it would be one side. One side might be favoured but the other would never be ignored. Merely played less often. My friends and I did buy albums. not singles, and they were all mostly played as a whole side. Skipping tracks on a vinyl disc always risked scratching them, especially if you has consumed something at affected those fine motor skills.
The day Physical Graffiti came out a few of us gathered to listen to all four sides. That is about an hour and half. So many times that night someone else would arrive when the second disc was on. "What is that?" "Zeppelin's new album." So we would start over again. Four times that happened.
Haha, great story. So interested. Best wishes 💚
They have a few songs they never played live , Some were hated by individual members & weren't played.
For Your Life was finally done live '07
Celebration Day concert at O2 arena in London
Ahahaha i had to pause it when **Dominika** said "How can you NOT like it BS!" 1st cuz YAY i freakin **Luv** you for THAT ha
😍
Super cool music. It was a bit before my time but found out about these about with old cassette tapes from my dad.
A Sonny Boy Williamson signature song nicely done by the lads here.
Ive requested before, but I'll try again.
Please, please react to Led Zeppelin - Moby Dick (live) as it shows off John Bonham at his very best. You often mention how you love the drumming so check hin out at his best 😀
I’d say just his 20 minute solo, I believe the Earls Court (1975) is the best visual version. He played his solo over 200 times, it shows how magnificent a drummer he is. I think they’d love hearing & seeing him play it.
2:35 Bonham kicks it off.. as usual
First time I saw them, the tickets were five bucks.
Anticipation, that’s what it was all about! We only had the album and if you were lucky a magazine that was featuring them. At the time there was no video there was no interviews. There was nothing. So when you got to the arena, yes, it was mind blowing! And yeah, entire albums was the listening experience. They were only about 40 minutes long and of course you always had your favorite songs but Zeppelin was meant to be listened to album by album. You’re getting a big dose of their diversity because we’re mixing up all the different styles and genres from various albums, but at the time we only had one album to listen to as it came out. So someday when you’re done reacting, you’ll go back and listen to this band from the first album on and you’ll really get a sense of their evolution and how they grew musically through the years!
Hit Parader and Creem! Still have several w Led featured
@@JuniorFarquar Circus was the one I bought the most! Zeppelin on the cover in 73 I still have that one!
Lovely. Thank you Ed! We are learning so much not only about music. But it's so interesting to get to know people who love LZ for decades. Peace and love from Romania 💚
The playing back and forth from Bonham and Page and then over to Plant in the harmonica with JPJ laying down the baseline under it all.
😊😊😊😊😊😊
Hi again from the UK
If you really want to know how we ( The ones old enough, and fortunate enough) to have listened to a fresh Zep album) here goes. It was a ritual really. A cozy room. A few friends. Darken the room if it's daytime. Turn on the black light and let those far out black light posters emblazon their acid trip ambiance. Light a stick, or two, of incense. Smoke a bowl of hash. At this point, the outside world is so far away. Put the needle on the vinyl and float. No head banging or running your mouth, for, this was a solemn event. The album was listened to from start to finish as we believed the artists meant it to be. The '70's were cool that way.
So cool! Thanks for sharing 👍💚
Back in the day we listened to the whole album usually a few times, then maybe cherry pick. Amazing how our fingers could drop the needle right on the open groove between songs.
I only started listening to Led Zeppelin since 2020 but was a fan of Status Quo and Bad Co and Rod Stewart, with or without the Faces from 1970 onwards. The only Led song I listened to weekly was the opening to Top of the Pops.
Wikipedia:
From 5 November 1970 to 14 July 1977: An instrumental version of the Led Zeppelin-Willie Dixon composition "Whole Lotta Love" was performed by CCS members.
21 July 1977 to 29 May 1980: No opening theme tune; a contemporary chart song was played over the countdown stills. "Whole Lotta Love" (instrumental) featured only in Christmas editions (CCS version used in the 1979 Christmas shows), the 800th edition from 26 July 1979 and the voice-over only edition from 22 November 1979.
7 August 1980: Instrumental version of "Whole Lotta Love" used. Last used in 1977.
14 August 1980 to 2 July 1981: No opening theme tune; the CCS version of "Whole Lotta Love" was played over some of the images of the featured artists and during the countdown stills in the Top 30 and Top 20 sections which were moved later on in the programme. From the edition of 14 August 1980 to the edition of 2 July 1981, "Whole Lotta Love" was heard only during the chart rundowns.
Now I have all the CDs I don't do downloads.
Thank you for sharing. All the best ☺️
First four albums - every song! After that they began to expand and experiment and often I would listen to just favorites. Although truthfully in the days of vinyl albums, it was easier to put the record and just let it go..
The only time you touched a Led Zeppelin record or tape that was playing is when you are turning it over to hear the other side. Just put it on and let it go!
Hi zeppelin one of my favorite from the 70's but I just watched your billy joel vid loved it so could you react to Billy's song New York state of mind live at the old gray whistle test it is a true blues performance I'm 60+ and it is one of the best live performances I've seen as good as any live zeppelin reaction you have done my wife and I love the channel been a sub for awhile now.
Hey there, glad to hear you enjoy our videos. We have covered Billy Joel's "New York State of Mind" . Please check in our videos 👍 Much love from Romania 💚
Jimmy's birthday
Have you listened to Dread Zeppelin? It's a cover band (reggae) with a lead singer who is an elvis impersonator playing only Led Zeppelin songs. The are talented and try Bring it on home, they do a funky version.
The band was 1968.
Back in the day, we had no clue what the lyrics were. Nor did we really care. The music was SO good, they could have been singing about stinky cheese and it wouldn't matter at all!
You guys should react to White Summer from the same show. It’s amazing
🤩
a song to grab ones attention...'the lemon song' please! x
❤Your reaction,you are great
Please react The song remans the same,Rain song live
From 1973
Please review the song “El Paso” by Marty Robbins!
I can't offer any stinky cheese, but maybe try "She's as Beautiful as a Foot" by Blue Oyster Cult. They can sing and play about ANYTHING too.
Thank you 👍
OH & for me anyway the answer is **NO** i do NOT **Skip** over ANYthing & back when we were teens **NO** ya would just put the album on & let it play all the way thru whilst everyone was **Partying** heh YAY
OhMyGosh i just had a thought what IF **Robert Plant** or **MyJimmyPageMagicalGeniusWizardBabe** came by & watched one of **Your Reactions** OMG They would be SO freakin **OverJoyed** & **Delighted** i swear! Ha if i were them i **Know** i would be! You two are just THE **Bestest** Reactors to **MyBelovedOtherWorldlyLedZeppelin** EVER!!! i **Hope** they DO see **YOU** **ManyPixieHugz&Luvz**
Thank you so much! Your words make us smile! Big hug all the way from Romania 💚
@@MerchantOfAlba Awww Thank YOU ever so! & YAY cuz YOU both make me **SmilesGalore** ALL the time
I owned four of their studio albums and yes, I would sometimes skip a song, depending on mood. They are my favorite band, but I don’t love every song. Same with The Beatles. Both bands had SO much variety in their catalogues…..and I have preferences in what styles of music I like, so it’s inevitable, at least for me, that a few would not resonate for me.
Thanks for sharing 😊
Yes, they had the time of their lives back then. Raised a lot of hell, destroyed a number of hotel rooms, drank a lot and did a lot of drugs. Somehow they survived the "time of their lives" as a few of us did. Still they weren't entirely unscathed. It did its damage physically and mentally. A lot of innocence was lost. (Thank god for that.) Those good old days were very bad for a lot of people in this world, and in some cases that never went away. By '73 we pretty much learned how the world worked. We forced the government to get out of Vietnam, then forced a crooked president to resign. Fifty years later we can only wish for problems like that again. We still know how the world works, we just can't figure out how so many people can believe the most obvious lies. Somehow we've brought back problems from the 1930s Germany. Well, at least in the early 70s the music was pretty great.
you know Robert plant mother was ROMANI they were Gypsie's had been in England for five hundred year from India but mixing along the way that's his hair wiki, look it up very interesting
And then Bonzo comes in......as always ,the song gets better . LOL
Gibson les paul.
...the studio version is better. lol
After the speeded up intro I was all set to criticize but having watched the whole song , I take back my would be criticism and admit this is a classic performance. Never seen Plant play live harmonica before, Good job.
I tried twice to post the link to this whole show but it keeps disappearing. If you haven't seen it, you really should. It's incredible. Search "Led Zeppelin DVD 1" and you'll see it.
I have just one thing to say " 🩸"
