I'm so happy I came across this channel. The information and advise given is just amazing. Thanks to the Hairloss show I took the plunge and started using Minoxidil in January and Finasteride in March. I did initially shed hairs, then before I knew it, I actually started to get my old hairline back! I'm 30 yrs old and I can honestly say my hair is back to how it was years ago! I can't wait to see how it will be after a year of using the treatment!
I’m really glad that it’s working for you, and I have one question, do you apply Minoxidil just to the balding/receding areas? And when you apply it, do you have to massage it with your fingers or what? I would really appreciate it if you share with us how you use it.
Wassim so in my first video I show how I apply it. I should probably do an update video soon! But yes, I just part the hairs in the area that I want hair to grow (crown and hairline) and gently apply the cream with my fingers to the scalp until it’s fully rubbed in. You do get some on the hair but it’s impossible not to haha!
Hi Chris, glad it worked for you mate. Could you please share how bad was your frontal hair reciding and how long after the treatment did you see the result? Appreciate your response

It's kinda annoying that there's a lot of baby hairs sticking out or a lot of fly aways in my hair, but I'm thankful coz it's a sign that Minoxidil works in regrowing my lost hair. There's definitely a shedding phase at the start, and it's really scary. Mine went on for like idk 3 months or so? And my hair shed in CLUMPS! I honestly I got a bit discouraged. But after just powering through it, the shedding is significantly less now. I say 'less', because I still do shed. Though I think it's just the natural 50-60 strands or so in a day. I won't lie and say I've been on it everyday. I probably miss a day or two here and there because life can get away and I can sometimes forget. Oh, and there were side effects for me too. At one point, I got flaky, itchy scalp and dandruff from it. But I countered that with Ketoconazole, followed by oiling the mids and ends because anything antidandruff could really dry up the hair. So that's my experience so far. I'll continue using Minoxidil since I've seen it's effect on me. Of course, experiences may still vary from one person to another. Hope it works for y'all too!
As someone who has finally accepted that I am losing my hair, this channel has come at a great help. Upon advice from a hair treatment centre I was offered a "super strong" 10% dosage for triple the price. Any results? Been slowly losing my hair. At the moment it is ok and I can camp my hair to look nice. At the moment I feel like will get a hair transplant if needed. However decided that now is time to test different stimulants and I guess minoxidil is the first on the list.

I am using minoxdil for 2 years my hair is strong i got my curly hair back . When I stopped the hair start falling. Again i started using . I guarantee minoxdil. For hair growth
Russel, please discuss this in your next Q&A: You have mentioned that we don't need to keep Minoxidil on for 4-8 hours and that the liquid version absorbs in 60-90 minutes vis-a-vis to the foam which absorbs in 15 minutes. I saw this study: "In that study, twenty-two healthy male volunteers completed a four-way, multiple-dose, randomized crossover study to determine the relationship between contact time of applied drug on the scalp and minoxidil absorption from a 2% topical solution. The researchers examined how much minoxidil is absorbed at 1 hr, 4 hr compared to 11.5 hours. Relative to the amount absorbed after a contact time of 11.5 h, absorption was approximately 50% complete by 1 h and greater than 75% complete by 4 h." So, taking both your word and this study into account, do you mean that when solution is applied for 90 mins and around 50% is absorbed, that is enough? Also please talk over this application time issue in some of your new video. Thanks for all the great videos, I've seen all on AGA, you guys rock!
Very informative video thank you Doctors. I'm using minoxidil2%today fifteen days running and i noticed my hair texture is improved. No extreme hair fall. And my dandruff is reduced. I had watched so many reviews of minoxidil and this one is very helpful. Using minoxidil daily two times is very difficult specially at morning. At morning we all have busy schedules and doctors says one time is enough and another information women can use 5% in other videos only men can use 5%minoxidil. Thanks again 🙏🙏👏👏
I have been using minoxidil for about 3 months and surprisingly enought is working out wonderfully, my father used to tell me there is nothing you can do versus baldness, and in 2020 is NOT true!

Got to admit that for the moment i am not satisfied at all.. i see shedding of my small hairs...anyway remaines to be seen. I’ve been on minoxidil and finasteride for two months I think the minoxidil is doing wonders my hairline is coming back fast like two months fast hair are becoming more thick I hope this last for a long time
You have keep on using it, if you stop it will reverse to where you were before. This is what my doctor told me, I had results too. But I'm taking it together with Finastride tabs.
i do not now if it is appropriate to mention but i have been using minoxidil on my eyelashes and it is making miracle. i had no eyelash but now they are growing as thin hairs. thank GOD for minoxidil!!
What is your opinion of the new kid on the block, Redensyl? Does it have the same way of stimulating hair as Minoxidil or does it work in a different manner? Which would you recommend?
Thank you for this video. Been using minoxidil for 2-3yrs, been loosing hair since 19 yrs old. Used it when i was 21, I'm 24 now . i applied it once a day. did it grow my hair? No. Did it slow the balding process? Maybe. Is it worse now compare to previous year? Yes. My hairline is receding and my crown is balding. I'll try minoxidil with finasteride 1mg, 3 times a week as prescribed by these gentlemen, my goal here is preserve what remains on my hair, if it grows thicker then its a bonus. I'll be back in a year!
@@mrduck7957 well i tried it, 2% and 5%. If you really reseach it you will find out that It will thicker your hair, not regrow what you lost. And once you stop, you will lose all the hair addicted to minoxidil. DHT cause hair lose , and you can block dht with finesteride.
Amazing that you explained it can be used once a day and still be effective! I quit using minoxidil after a year bc it was so difficult to stay up on applying twice a day! I plan to go back on it immediately now knowing this!
Hey, you briefly mention that using minoxidil and finasteride at the same time can be effective, but you said you'd address that in more detail later. I looked through your playlist and I couldn't find the video that talks about this. Would you be able to point me in the direction of this video?
I tried using minoxidil many times, but had to stop due to seborrheic dermatitis. Thanks to your information, I ordered the foam form and started using it. There is no itching on my scalp now and I can use it. Hopefully, I can continue like this and get good results. Thanks for this video. Love from Turkey...
Genuine question. If you start to use Minoxidil daily and DO NOT experience any shedding in the first few weeks, do you conclude that it is not going to be particularly effective for you?
I just love listening to old people. why? because this is not a fuckin sales pitch for the product. Let the potentional customer decide for himself based on the FACTS + RESEARCH + STUDIES. thank you for this presentation.
People claim the laser comb doesn't work that well but forget the laser comb was the first device that was on the market and people got amazing results from it.
Let's say you take finasteride and stop the balding, then use minoxidil and dermarolling to stimulate and grow back some hair. Will that new hair fall out if you stop minoxidil? Or will the finasteride be able to maintain the newly regained hair even after stopping minoxidil?
What an incredible infomation here with geneuine honest answer (not from marketing perspective ) why this video has only 392k views ? Thank you guys really really appreciated
Between 1ml - 2ml twice a day. Beyond that could lead to dangerous side effects like hair growth in unwanted places, headaches, scalp irritation, expansion of blood vessels, dizziness and fatigue.
I really have some points I would like u to put into consideration next time: What I really didn't like about minxsidol is that u will lose the hair improvement as soon as u stop using it even though u get the result ur looking for from over a year. Thus, U didn't talk about this cons. I really preferred that if u were more nuetral to discuss the product to add more credibility to ur content. I really wish to talk about how to get over this issue and what about pregnant women can they use it while pregnancy and if they stopped using it. This means they will lose their hair growth result. What to do in this case Is their any consequences from using it whole life long?
Please reply to my question! I have started using the regaine foam but in the mornings i get puffy eyes. Then did some research and found that alot of people reported their skin started aging badly and creating many wrinkles due to minoxidil stopping to the collagens in your face. Please tell us if this is true. Is regaine company hiding this big side effect on purpose so people can still buy their products
I am not an expert but as you think about how long minoxidil on the markets it is almost impossible to hide or manipulate this. (I do not know if it is one of the approved sid effects tho). You may have allergy or something like that. Try to keep minoxidil less hours not before going to bed.
14 years on only minoxidil?? I’ve been on for 2 months and noticed good results of baby hairs growing everywhere. Will they continue to grow into normal hairs? Will more baby hairs grow as well? Thanks if you can answer these.
@@MattThe1in27-1Hamill absolutely, at least in my experiance the hairs really grow thick and dark, also eyebrows. I started when i was 30 and until about 35 I had hair like in my 20ies. It worked for me fantastic. Than I guess you cant stop mother nature and it slowly regreses back to normal but I am sure it still works. Minoxidil is a strange drug, dont be discouraged if you see your hairs are falling out, I am losing at least 100 a day. Also buy the generic ones like Kirkland, I tried them all, works the same and its much cheaper
@@janeztomazic5546 awesome, thank you for your reply. I am indeed using the Kirkland stuff, costs like $40 for a year’s worth. I’m thinking of getting on finasteride to halt the balding, hoping it will make the minoxidil last longer. And that is very encouraging about the baby hairs. Hoping I will have even better progress in another 2 months!
@@MattThe1in27-1Hamill I know everyone is different and doctors claim there are no side effects but I had terrible experiance with propecia and I only took it half a pill for 5 days, it destroyed my life for 3 months but I am lucky I got over it. I never have any side effects to any drug except this one and no doctor in the world can convince me that its not something wrong with this thing
This is great information! From someone that has been using it seriously about 6 months now, you need to follow what they say about application. I have used the foam solely and I wasn't getting it on my scalp good enough at the start. Once you start getting it on the scalp at a healthy rate, you will noticed it working. You will shed like crazy in fact, but keep at it! I notice videos on RUclips showing some guy just brushing the crap in his hair.......don't do that, lol. Take the time and apply it with your finger and make sure to rub it into the skin. A little brushing with your hand through your hair, as if you were applying gel, isn't going to do anything!
So in theory, I could use the foam as a treatment say 20-30 min before my evening shower and not have to worry about styling issues from the minoxidil preparation?
What are you thoughts on facial bloating from minoxidil? As well as minoxidil "wrinkles" and "dark eye circles" from collagen loss? Is there truth to these side effects, or is it hysteria?
Glad you asked this question. Most people are not even worried about how it may impact health. Here is my understanding after doing some reading. 1. Minoxidil is a drug which can be a double edged sword. When trails are conducting they don't target people with all the nefarious health conditions seen in this world. For example, you may be a person with Gynaecomastia, has Irritable bowel disease or IBS, diabetes, prone to heart conditions, prostate problems etc. 2. The drug is taken long term and it gets mixed with your bloodstream and it is going to do something or other to the body. Usually, no drug is taken on a long term. For example, you take paracetamol in small doses, but only when you need it and not everyday. Diabetes patients take medicine life long, but those medicines will for sure cause some side-effects. 3. No drug in this world is side-effects free. Minoxidil is not a stranger to side effects. 4. There are not many reports on the side-effects, not because no one has them, but no one continued using that drug long enough to observe. 5. People all careless and non observant. They think that some health they noticed in the future might not be a cause of minoxidil. 6. Lastly, the doctor himself said that they doesn't entirely know how this drug works. You won't how if this drug triggers cancer in some part of the body. My advice, use it, but only for a while till you find a girlfriend and stop using it later.
It would be helpful if you addressed and acknowledged those of us who have been on Minoxidil for OVER 4 MONTHS and still have no improvement, and only increased shedding.
Spent a lot of money on minoxadil, essential oils etc. and no hair growth , only an irritated scalp. On finasteride, now, and after 4 months my bald spot is almost covered.
Just a quick question doctors. I heard that use of minoxidil can cause increase of wrinkles especially in the forehead region where the drug is applied. Is there any truth to this?
Not really. But if you are using the lotion, it can dry the skin slightly which in turn I guess will give you the appearance of more 'wrinkles'? But in itself, it doesn't cause them as far as I am aware.
When I was 30 ,minoxidol stopped my hair loss but at the time a prescription was needed to get it .so a visit to a doctor $$$$ and time off of work. Now you can buy it over the counter .to late im 60 and the hair is gone.
What happens if you're at the second stage of shedding? After a while it completely stop shedding and I had a noticeable improvement 3 months in. However, now its starting to shed again and it's almost like I'm back at stage 1.
Hi doctors, recently found the channel. I am not balding however looking at growing a ‘thicker’ beard. I’ve read about side effects however haven’t read anything with enough literature. What experience do you both have with minoxidil specifically for beard growth?
This the only place where they say that minoxidil gets absorbed within 10(foam) to 90(solution) mins. Wonder why everywhere else they recommend leaving it on for at least 4 hours.
I was curious on that too. Around the 16:50 mark he does state that the foam absorbs faster than the liquid. If I remember correctly the study that mentioned the absorption rate which many reference with the 4hr or so mark was from 1990. Perhaps that one used a liquid form.
Hello, I have had eye allergic reactions to Minoxidil, I have tried the foam in hopes I was allergic to the propylene, but I still have an eye allergy, could it be another ingredient rather than the minoxidil itself? any suggestions? thank you
Let's say I quit using minoxidil. Will the hair that minoxidil has grown still fall out if I use finasteride? Because I was already using finasteride while using minoxidil. I'm curious about that.
I've heard it ages your skin. I'm not sure if it is due to it getting into your system and then drying out overall body skin... or if this is a thing where people are putting it on their scalp and then either sweating and it drips onto their face or they use the product before bed and get it on their pillow and sleep with it rubbing on their face. Either way.... does it age facial skin? That's a big concern of mine.
Been using it for almost a year, just apply on scalp and make sure it doesnt leak on forehead, it takes 30min to absorb so you will be alright after that
Rohini Rao I was worried about that so I stepped up my sleep patterns and started using an eye cream just in case. My eyes look better than ever now haha
Does anyone know if this drug produces side effects or impacts stuff like 1. Dark circles under eyes. 2. Prostate problems 3. Irritable bowel syndrome 4. Gynaecomastia 5. Any other forms of brain problems or Cancer.
Thanks for the information. I am using Monoxidil 3 sprays on both the frontal sides twice a day. I am having dizziness and headache since 3 days. What to do?

I am using minoxdil for 2 years my hair is strong i got my curly hair back . When I stopped the hair start falling. Again i started using . I guarantee minoxdil. For hair growth
Any brand?
Did you just use minoxidil? Or did you use finasteride as well??? Also what brand of minoxidil?
Did you have any side effects
What are the results after 1 year??
Have u washed ur hair after applying minoxidil
I have been using minoxidil for about 3 months and surprisingly enought is working out wonderfully, my father used to tell me there is nothing you can do versus baldness, and in 2020 is NOT true!
Same here man. Getting baby hairs growing on the parts of hairline that were starting to recede. Will these baby hairs mature and turn into normal hairs?

About 6 weeks in and have noticed a bit more shedding . Very comforting to know that it’s normal...

Hello bold people😊 i am one of this group too... hopefully temporarily.
I started my therapy about 3w ago, starting only with minoxidil and gradually adding the following things. Got to admit that for the moment i am not satisfied at all.. i see shedding of my small hairs...anyway remaines to be seen.
My routine is:
Morning: minoxidil pills and solution 5%
Noon: vitamins (D, Zinc, Mithionin )
Evening: Rosemary oil
Night: Hair capsule, that containes vitamines and Biotin
-in 2weeks i am expecting the led machine/helmet..
does rosemary oil work?
I’ve been on minoxidil and finasteride for two months I think the minoxidil is doing wonders my hairline is coming back fast like two months fast hair are becoming more thick I hope this last for a long time
Omar Arreola that’s sounds great, how are you applying it ?
You have keep on using it, if you stop it will reverse to where you were before. This is what my doctor told me, I had results too. But I'm taking it together with Finastride tabs.
Nihaz yeah I know and I am doing the same I’m taking finasteride no sides doing great hope people get the results they want
I'm having side effects. I have thick thick hair but a high hairline nw3. I take fianstride havent tried the Minoxidil
i do not now if it is appropriate to mention but i have been using minoxidil on my eyelashes and it is making miracle. i had no eyelash but now they are growing as thin hairs. thank GOD for minoxidil!!
What is your opinion of the new kid on the block, Redensyl?
Does it have the same way of stimulating hair as Minoxidil or does it work in a different manner? Which would you recommend?
Redensyl has been around for years but yet I haven’t seen anyone grow hair from it
In my experience liquid works much better than foam.

Minoxidil is really a hit or miss, looks like its miss for you.

Hey, can you give a quick update ? After 8 months
Amazing that you explained it can be used once a day and still be effective! I quit using minoxidil after a year bc it was so difficult to stay up on applying twice a day! I plan to go back on it immediately now knowing this!
When u stop any changes or side effect??
In short minoxidil is effective for hairloss? Am I right sir
Would this help beard growth? Great video!

Doctors, what is the usual dose for oral minoxidil? 2 mg? Thanks in advance
What to do in this case
Is their any consequences from using it whole life long?
14 years latter and I am still using it, it does works but less with time
14 years on only minoxidil??
You should talk about how Minoxidil can grow beards or fill in beards.
Interested in that as well!
Yeah that’s what he said
Why no doctor talks about the minoxidil tolerance body develop within 1.5-2 yr.
What are the solutions for that?
What are you thoughts on facial bloating from minoxidil? As well as minoxidil "wrinkles" and "dark eye circles" from collagen loss?
Is there truth to these side effects, or is it hysteria?
MultiDringus can you guys answer this? It’s a really important point
Great videos and explanations ! thank you so much ! Would you recommend taking minoxidil while being on dutasteride ?

Any updates?
What shampoo would you recommend ?
Hair 4 u shampoo is good.. Use thrice in a week
Any shampoo with ketaconozole as its shown to inhibit DHT in the scalp.
Spent a lot of money on minoxadil, essential oils etc. and no hair growth , only an irritated scalp. On finasteride, now, and after 4 months my bald spot is almost covered.
Any side effects? I read ED can happen. Thank you.
How is now?

Hi doctors, recently found the channel. I am not balding however looking at growing a ‘thicker’ beard. I’ve read about side effects however haven’t read anything with enough literature. What experience do you both have with minoxidil specifically for beard growth?
Beard growth is likely genetic I would leave it as

This the only place where they say that minoxidil gets absorbed within 10(foam) to 90(solution) mins. Wonder why everywhere else they recommend leaving it on for at least 4 hours.
I was curious on that too. Around the 16:50 mark he does state that the foam absorbs faster than the liquid.
If I remember correctly the study that mentioned the absorption rate which many reference with the 4hr or so mark was from 1990. Perhaps that one used a liquid form.
Hello, I have had eye allergic reactions to Minoxidil, I have tried the foam in hopes I was allergic to the propylene, but I still have an eye allergy, could it be another ingredient rather than the minoxidil itself? any suggestions? thank you
I did hear that rosemary oil can work ,in some cases .worth a try . Google it will give more information on it .
Let's say I quit using minoxidil. Will the hair that minoxidil has grown still fall out if I use finasteride? Because I was already using finasteride while using minoxidil. I'm curious about that.
Did you get any side effects because of using finastride and minoxidil together
And how are the results
I've heard it ages your skin. I'm not sure if it is due to it getting into your system and then drying out overall body skin... or if this is a thing where people are putting it on their scalp and then either sweating and it drips onto their face or they use the product before bed and get it on their pillow and sleep with it rubbing on their face. Either way.... does it age facial skin? That's a big concern of mine.
Been using it for almost a year, just apply on scalp and make sure it doesnt leak on forehead, it takes 30min to absorb so you will be alright after that
After using it I have noticed my under eye dark circle got even worse
Rohini Rao I was worried about that so I stepped up my sleep patterns and started using an eye cream just in case. My eyes look better than ever now haha
