It's a theory if he put it on himself. Unconfirmed. What is confirmed is that Ky took it out of Sin because the gear cells were wrecking him.
Ky swapped his eye with Sin's because he was too powerful and wouldn't have survived, so he kinda 'nerfed' him, and also received gear cells in the meantime thus getting the Dragon Install. I believe this is all in the wiki.
@nahuel3433 I mean the thing is he's a gear now through one of his eyes. Previously, he was just a human, so though it hasn't been straigh out said its pretty heavily implied that's what he did

My favourite part of GG lore is that Sol Badguy is basically Sin's grandfather, and that Dizzy was 3 years old when she gave birth to Sin
And I know that Sol and Ky were sorta rivals, but when he got together with Dizzy well...Sol became his father in law. Which definitely was awkward, more so for Ky.
All of the characters have a slightly different reaction to being saved from Dizzy's move by her pacifism (there's a reason she's not the one doing all the attacking). In some ways my favorite is Slayer's: he might actually be able to survive it, but he still raises his hands with a general air of "all right, I admit that I may have crossed the line here from playing with those like-minded souls I come across into outright bullying a relative child" and Surrenders.

You definitely need to react to the lore next its wild in the best way. Ive mentioned it before but Woolie versus has a great series on the lore on all the games before strive (i think it was even officially acknowledged by Arcsys) and then you should do strives story
I wish there were more accessible lore vids on the characters bc most lore vids are just focused on the main plot instead on all the side characters backstories

@@hikarihakai1285 Especially the errors in Baiken's lyrics are egregious. The Japanese lyrics are almost entirely wrong.
If it helps, the thing with Ramlethal is that that her Instant Kill remains the same from the first version of Xrd, where she was the final boss of that games arcade mode. She entered the series as a villain which is why her IK is so savage, but that aspect of her didn't last long, she's learned to lighten up since then.
Sin is pretty much a local boy who blows up a mountain range just to kill a single person.

Sol Badguy's real name is Frederick Balsara, which is based of Freddie Mercury, Ky is based on Kai Hensen and Michael Kiske of the Helloween band, Axl Low is Axel Rose, May is based of Brian May (guitarist of Queen), Slayer and Venom are based on the bands of the same name.
That final shot of baiken got me acting up. Also dizzy’s my favorite out of all of these

The GG story is nutty, would definitely suggest making your way through it, love the characters. The earlier games have that Fighting Game problem where everyone has a story/arcade mode and figuring out canon can be messy (not helped by inconsistent translations), but GG1 is peak 90s, while X and its sequel XX (and its revisions #Reload and Accent Core) will set up the rest of the cast. 2 Overture got more focused on telling a single narrative and has some cool exclusive characters, but its also a weird 3D fighter MOBA thing. Accent Core Plus (and its revision +R) released after Overture and is a separate story from the original XX and ties into Overture. You'll have to look up Vastedge XT cause plot important pachink game is no longer availBle. Finally, for Xrd, Sign and Rev are separate stories, each character has an Episode/arcade mode storyline that is important, and then the Story Modes are essentially full fledged in engine anime added to th console versions. Same for Strive, but you should probably do story mode first there before Episode/Arcade mode.
Or you can be like a lot of people and look up a lore video before jumping into Sign/Rev/Strive/whichever.
Some OST reactions would also be fire.
I highly recommend checking Guilty Gear XX Accent Core +R too, some characters never left that game

As a long time fan of Guilty Gear it's so great to see your reaction to the series. I hope you try the games out beyond reaction videos.
You missed an IK. Sol Badguy's dragon install IK has an entirely different animation
Entirely different is an overstatement, but it is infinitely cooler than the standard one
If you want to catch up on the story there's two easy things to watch to get all of it, though it'll be hard to react to. 1) Woolie VS has a comprehensive entire story summation and timeline series of videos that are really well done and cover everything up to Strive. 2) Strive itself has a three hour (base game, dlc added more) story movie you can watch, free with the game.

I-no instant kill is reference to her boss fight in XX. In this battle she wind up big damage attack which involves barrage of sphere. While she wind up atrack, Danger mark will appear to show you I-no projectiles pattern

The story modes for both Xrd and Strive are essentially 4 hour animes with no gameplay, that being said I love seeing ppl watch them especially Xrd, altho Xrd actually has 2 story modes technically. Chronological order would be Xrd SIGN, then Xrd Revelator, and then the extra episodes they added in Xrd REV 2. If you want gameplay tho, each character has their own route in arcade mode with their own little story, and in Xrd their arcade modes actually build up to the story, altho in Strive the arcade takes place after the story. For people getting into Guilty Gears story my recommendation is always to watch the first four episodes of WoolieVersus's Guilty Gear Lore series on RUclips, then watch Xrd SIGNs story, then watch the beginning of Woolies 6th episode to get Revelators arcade mode summarized, and then watch Revelator/REV 2, and then watch Strive. Just to vouch for Woolie real quick, the story of Guilty Gear before Xrd is pretty hard to piece together since it's spread across so many games and other supplemental material like mangas and stuff, but his video series puts just about every relevant thing from the beginning up until the end of Xrd in one place and presents it all in a very entertaining way to boot. I still would recommend watching Xrd and Strives story modes in full tho cuz Xrds especially rules.

IIRC, Strive's story mode is pretty much an in-engine anime. Could be a fun watch-along. Same for Xrd's story, if I'm not wrong.
The Episode/Arcade modes are pretty important storywise as well, so if sitting around watching 6 hours of in engine anime doesn't sound good then thats also an option. Important to note: Xrd Sign is, storywise, a completely different installment from Revelator/Rev 2, even if gameplay wise they're different revisions of the same fighting game.

To answer your question for Venom, In the world of Guilty Gear, Magic over takes technology because of an apocolyptic event before the gears, so it's very common place for people to use magic. What makes Venom Terrifying is that he's formerly a leader of an assassin's guild. Why Pool though? No one knows. It's Venom's thing, I guess!

Yes, he have different stuff for the characters. BUT the most unique one is from Zato. Since in terms of Lore Faust have a beef with Zato, that's why he says that will carve him the next time. For the rest of the roster he just crack some funny line. The only hostile one is exclusive to Zato.

I think you should absolutely go through the intros and outros for the Rev2 characters, also their special moves (some have more animation than others)
There are several vids explaining the plot and lore of each game and I would recomend watching those instead of strive story mode
Oh yeah. Raven is immortal, he regenerates pmuch from anything. So in his instakill he just blows up himself with his opponent. Also, he's an insane masochist and canonically breaks his own limbs to make some of the attacks.

I honestly I’m confused whenever I use to play Guilty Gear, I’m not use to doing quarter circles. If you didn’t know btw, alongside Tekken there is also Soul Caliber. Any thoughts to have a look at Soul Caliber 6’s special attacks? Defeating a character with them have special cutscenes and only like 2 have alternative supers as well
I actually played Soul Caliber 4 YEARS ago on Xbox 360, but recenttly bought SC6 on Steam to check out the special attacks, so that will be coming 😁
@@ChocolateKieran interesting, I can’t wait to see since for dlc back then they had added Geralt from the Witcher and 2B from Nier Automata. Hell, Heihachi from Tekken was a special guest character for PS2 Soul Caliber 2 whilst Link was in the GameCube version.
Edit note: Azwel and Kilik character have a secondary Critical art but you have to soul charge for them to do it.
I saw a few people call Haehyun a little girl, she's probably closer in age to May, Bridget and Jam (though we only know the exact age of a few characters). She became the head of her clan after her father died but uses the old man mech because women aren't allowed to hold that position. She's also old friends with Johnny.

Hey maaan, you absolutely have to watch the story mode. As a fellow anime fan I assure you, the story is veeeery good.
You can start from xrd sign, then rev and strive, all of the other story is very time consuming and hard to digest
If you're into crazy and bizarre story moments I recommend the story mode for guilty gear it's funny and cool and action packed and it's also like a show so you can have to watch it you don't have to play and just listen to the story

@@ChocolateKieran i dont suggest strive, it doesnt have a true "combo trial" system as its all player made stuff that you search for. unlike a pre registered combo trial that 50/50 probably not optimal but still cool as hell. i do suggest Xrds combo trails however and checking out the story of guilty gear. its a very fascinating story with a ton of deep messages that are very relatable. and also the story mode writing is really good except for strive where its a bit effy
tho playing strive, absolutely! one of my top3 fav fgs ever. also i noticed some stuff that i wanted to point out a bit. millia and zato were lovers, ky and dizzy have sin as their son. sol is the guilty gear and protag. raven and slayer are immortal beings. bedman (romeo, the boy who is btw always sleeping) died lmao. venom, zato, millia, and slayer have a orginazation known as the assassins guild. leo has war ptsd. ram-le-thal, elphelt, and jack-o are all "sisters" from a other worldly being known as the universal will. jack-o is sols wife reincarnated, jack-o gets the hair change when she fully becomes aria (sols wife). sin is a half gear and is canonically 5 years old in strive. gears are basically just genetically modified organisms that are really strong and stuff

So to explain Raven's instant kill, he is an immortal knight who was rejected by Vallhalla in the times of the holy crusades, yes the real world crusades. In his instant kill he is incinerating both his opponent and himself, then coming back from the ashes.

Bro I'm amazed how you made so much videos about guilty gear but you still don't know pretty much anything about characters, their relationships and interactions. I'm not judging you, just think rhat you can take some time to watch some quick guilty gear lore videos instead of trying to guess who is who. Its not too hard or complicated, especially since English is your first language. I live in Russia and only guilty gear lore videos i can consume is some guy memed videos with 60% of information shutted down or turned into complicated meme
you must have missed parts of all these videos where I specifically say I’ll be diving into the lore for its own video 😂 I’m not looking into it and learning until then. this is just to get a sense of how they play in the game.but yeah I actually have fun guessing about characters beforehand too which is why I do this, also I’ve only made three videos on the characters LOL.
