I stand by the idea that Sarah Jane vanished bc the Third Doctor came and picked her up and took her to Florana, right before he flew back and regenerated. They sat on the beach and watched the sun set one last time together, he knew her fate and a tear ran down his cheek and she said to him what he told her all those years ago; 'A tear, Doctor?'
I haven’t watched the original show yet and I found Jo endearing in the SJA but this? This really shows just how special that character is. Pairing her back up with Clyde was really inspired. ❤️

This made me cry in the best way. I've watched all the ones you've uploaded this evening, and you have made my day. This series is lovely, and it's exactly what I needed to find on my birthday.
So wonderful to see my favorite companion Jo again! Katy Manning is just as adorable as ever. And although I haven’t gotten around yet to watching The Sarah Jane Adventures, it’s nice to see Sarah Jane represented as well with Clyde. ❤️ I am sad though that Tom Baker is apparently not taking part in these. I assume it’s because of his advanced age? Also, Sarah Jane would probably be the companion for him to do the segment with, but alas we no longer have our dear Elizabeth Sladen anymore (or Mary Tamm as the first Romana, rest in peace to both lovely ladies), so perhaps that was another factor. As a second choice, it would have been nice for Tom to come in, and he can stay sitting in a chair the whole time, and bring in Louise Jameson as Leela. (As for Lalla Ward as the second Romana….well, she and Tom are ex-spouses, so that might be kinda awkward for them to do it.) Obviously Leela wouldn’t be dressing in the skimpy Amazonian clothing anymore, but I think she deserved a much better send-off than what she got in The Invasion Of Time. It’s not too late either for Tom Baker, or the people behind Tales Of The Tardis, to consider doing this. C’mon Tom, I’d love to see you and Louise do this segment. 😊🙏
In fact we still have Lalla Ward (Romana II & III) and Louise Jameson (Leela), and you can have two potential scenarios for a Tale in the series: 1) 4 (or The Curator, like ambiguously 6 may actually have been in the Vengeance On Varos episode) and he can revisit a story with either Leela or Romana (whether it be The Key To Time with Mary Tamm's incarnation or Shada (which REALLY isn't necessary but I mean I would be open to it just for the Bookend scenes between Lalla & Tom alone) or another Lalla-Romana story would work fine) and Leela can just wear some Gallifreyan robes like in the Collection: Season 15 minisode trailer, which could even take place shortly after that particular event) and having met her at a 2019 con, Lalla never seemed to feel awkward about talking about Tom with me and she loved that we talked of the 4 & Romana Prime Computer ads (which she seemed rather happy I chose to see as canon- a wonderful surprise) and The Leisure Hive fondly. 2) An original story (or adapting an abridged Big Finish one) told in animation with Four, Leela and Romana - you don't even have to have Tom participate but then again you could too.
Of course, if they brought Romana in, based on the Six and Seven episodes, that would also mean making another Time Lord be alive and out there. More reason to do it tho.

I wish Elisabeth Sladen were still alive, and seeing these two in the TARDIS would have been much more memorable, however the mention of her name SJA suffices.
Honestly I still don’t get why they didn’t bring back Luke Clyde & Rani either during 11 or 12s tenure, to give us some closure with that cast & to Sarah Jane, it could’ve been a lovely way to honour Liz Sladen.
Fun fact though: the actress who plays Rani played the alien queen that was the main bad guy in the Nikola Tesla episode. In addition, the guy who played Graham was the main bad guy in Rani's first episode.
@@WarGrowlmon18 That’s a regular on Doctor Who, Bradley Walsh played the Pennywise character in Sarah Jane Adventures, Peter Capaldi played multiple characters before he played the Doctor.
It's great seeing all these old friends come back again for a visit, and being treated with affection and respect. For me, this is a more satisfying season finale than the one they wrote for Gatwa (which has all the usual season-finale problems). Gatwa's a good performer, but the writing really hasn't done much for him this season--and every Who fan knows what THAT's like. The tone here is much more thoughtful, and the slower pace helps too.
Jo takes what I believe is the blue sapphire that the Third Doctor took from Metebelis 3, the subsequent struggle for which led to his death and regeneration into the Fourth Doctor. She seems to recognize it, which is a little odd since she had left UNIT at that point.
More potential for additional stories rather than continuity cuffuffles. It's Doctor Who, no loose end can remain that way for too long if someone steps up with a story to tell.
I think the easiest way to explain this was that Sarah Jane and/or the Brigadier (who both witnessed the Third->Fourth regeneration) filled in Jo about that at some point later on.
Jo would easily recognise the sapphire for metebelis 3 as it was given to her as a wedding present at the end of the green death. It was in the Planet of the spiders that Jo would return it which would kick off the story and lead to the doctor's regeneration.
As he gave her the blue shimmering crystal, he asked her to save him a piece of wedding cake and as he sauntered off and drove away on Bessie into the sunset, the brigadier was the only one who knew where he went.

Maria's off fighting aliens on the other side of the pond. (And for the two people who care about Sky, she's still guarding the Trickster's prison at the bottom of that same ocean.)
It would be so cool if in the new doctor who series if a older version of luke rings the doctor to ask him to return to unit as they need help the doctor returns has a reuion with luke and introuces him to his new companion luke invites him back to his house revealing that he shares a house with clyde and rani who are now a couple and has a reuion with cylde and rani they then at the end talk about sarah jane and tell his new companion what a amazing woman she was

Katy was absolutely amazing in this. Funny and clumsy as ever but with so much heart it bursts out of her sleeve. Jo Grant has been my overall favorite companion since I got into Classic Doctor Who and this highlighted all the elements that make her special to me. Katy Manning has the that same spark that Elizabeth Sladen has to reach out across generations and embrace you like you're family.
The Metebelis crystal made me well up... 😥
... and the shadow broke the dam.
I think the show did not acknowledge the death of Sarah Jane at the time, they decided not to kill the character with the death of Elizabeth Sladen.
Fun fact though: the actress who plays Rani played the alien queen that was the main bad guy in the Nikola Tesla episode. In addition, the guy who played Graham was the main bad guy in Rani's first episode.

That’s a regular on Doctor Who, Bradley Walsh played the Pennywise character in Sarah Jane Adventures, Peter Capaldi played multiple characters before he played the Doctor.
He sent the crystal to her but she had to send it back, it was in the last ep of the 3rd doctor
I think luke should meet rose to talk about school reunion so luke knows what sarah jane did before she found him and rose getsbto grieve for losing sarah jane
Rose is in parallel world.
Luke should meet Benton or Yates
@Joey15811 yeah but this memory tardis could be really power full to take out off her universe for a little bit it has taken people from different time spots and older versions of other doctors
Tom Baker and Louise Jameson for The Robots Of Death next year?
CLYYYYDDDDDE!?
How on earth did he managed to sneak in the tardis and wearing a space helmet then throwing it to the side?
What nerve hmm.
It's nice that they mentioned Luke and Rani. But what about Maria Jackson?
Maria's off fighting aliens on the other side of the pond.
(And for the two people who care about Sky, she's still guarding the Trickster's prison at the bottom of that same ocean.)
Nice they added this :)
What a thing it would have been to have Sarah Jane and the Brigadier together in one of these segments.
Probably telling The Ghosts Of N-Space or Downtime from 1995, if we were so lucky. I do miss them both.
@@hugoalynstephens9166 Or The Five Doctors.
@@dirdib69 Great Shout!
After seeing this, I think Clyde should run with the doctor at some point.
Clyde would be such a perfect fit for a companion.
Its true the older we get the more people we miss. As we get older the world stops giving us things and starts talking them away..
It would be so cool if in the new doctor who series if a older version of luke rings the doctor to ask him to return to unit as they need help the doctor returns has a reuion with luke and introuces him to his new companion luke invites him back to his house revealing that he shares a house with clyde and rani who are now a couple and has a reuion with cylde and rani they then at the end talk about sarah jane and tell his new companion what a amazing woman she was
Awesome
If you ask me, a fully animated series of Doctor Who classic and perhaps some of the Big Finish stories would be FANTASTIC
Clyde was my favorite of the trio, perhaps because had the most issues.
They are all here ... Especially Sarah Jane ...
Honestly if Elisabeth was still alive one more time. One last time she to have a talk with Tom Baker in this. 4th doctor and Sarah Jane.
Poor Tom if his health was better.
How has Clyde managed to not age a single day?
The actor just looks really good for his age. Clyde's supposed to be like a decade older at this point and so is the actor: this was only shot like a year or two ago.
I think Clyde is from the Sarah Jane adventure series & yes, I remember ol' Jo Grant of the Jon Pertwee years. 🥰
These shorts are better than anything since 2017.
I wish given his recent passing we could have seen Mike Yates one last time
Never knew Clyde loved Rani .
Katy Manning NEEDS, in some way, to get her own show or SOMETHING! She’s a TREASURE!
How does Daniel Anthony stop ageing like this, its unfair lol.
3:06 No mention of Maria Jackson or Sky Smith
RTD made his unmade finale for Sarah-Jane Adventures canon in his Farewell Sarah-Jane internet short, she ended up becoming a celestial being after being uncovered as a ploy made by The Trickster
@@mrcritical6751 Yeah, the only reason that that wasn't seen in the show itself was because Elizabeth Sladen died before they could finish that season.😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Was it the 3rd doctor who appeared to jo at the end?
Blimey she still got I wonder need to be in adventure
Please do Leela next
Why this feels so nice and familiar unlike last seasons? 😠
Katy needs to come back in the show proper, the same way Bonnie Langford did.
I know she had a short cameo at the end of The Power Of The Doctor and was in an episode of SJA (hence knowing Clyde), but she needs to spend some time with Fifteen. Ncuti and Katy would play brilliantly off each other...
I feel like Jo and Seven would get on quite well.
Jo? Josephine Grant?
Now that is how to tell clyde langer off hmm.
Dont think Katy Manning can play Jo anymore... She has become Iris and shes brilliant as Iris.
Did Joe say “ oh cariad” if so that’s very nice Russell as a Welshman that’s what I call my partner.
EDIT: it absolutely was as the actor was Welsh 🥺
Yes she said "cariad". The most intimate of all terms of endearment in my opinion
Who is she talking about?
@@Steve-jc3ww The character of Professor Cliifford Jones who she left Perwee's Doctor and the Tardis to marry at the end of The Green Death. To make it even more poignant the Welsh actor Stewart Bevan who played him and who died in 2022 was in a real life relationship with Katy Manning for two years in the early 1970s during the time The Green Death was filmed.
@@anthonyharris9104 that’s very sweet especially him being Welsh
i bawled so hard to this that my housemate thought i'd lost a family member lmao
Anyone else notice the jukebox?
Is it a movie? Or episode?
Part of new short material for the Whoniverse launch online and lead up to 60th anniversary
@@Bondoz007 ok
Kinda like the tardis apologizing for all those preventable deaths.
Clyde hasn't aged at all come on

evil tardis, giving other companions their doctor but not jo
