Yeah. There’s no one else that could’ve played the First Doctor other than Hartnell. I was wondering if anyone knows what episode that laugh came from?
I think its great they got these two back, the 60s companions seem to get largely forgotten (only jamie and zoe seem to be popular) but vicki was the second companion after ian and barbara left so its great the actress who probably thought this little show would never be around now nearly 60 years after she was on it not only is still around but remembers her part in it as the girl who followed susan.
Sadly her exit from the show was kinda unpleasant. The guys in charge of the show at the time were constantly butting heads with William Hartnell and she was always the one to step in and defend Bill, it resulted in them firing her so she couldn’t defend him and further
@@mrcritical6751 Really? That's a piece of Who gossip I've never heard. She was a good friend then cos Bill was rather irritable like his character. The only other thing I've seen her in was The Duchess of Duke Street which was a great comedy drama from the 70s.
So lovely to see Steven and Vicki reunite and talk about their best adventures. It's all the more important for the fact the stories where they each left the Doctor no longer exist, and most of Steven's travels with the Doctor are also lost in time. DIscussing those 'missing pieces' is a wonderful touch, for fans old and new alike. It makes you want to see them in all their glory, if only they were ever found. Honestly it’s sad that William Russell isn’t in good enough shape nowadays to play Ian again for a long period, imagine how heartfelt a Susan and Ian reunion would have been

This is such a beautiful series. I wouldn’t say I’m the biggest fan there ever was but this is so good; it makes me love Dr. Who far more than all the shenanigans they’ve been up to lately!
So lovely to see these two again. Of all six episodes, Maureen O'Brien's performance is my favourite, with Peter Purves and Frazier Hines being a close second. Old pros with some magic left in them.
Again, Thank You for uploading! Vicki Pallister and Steven Taylor, this is pretty cool and doesn't mess with any continuity at all, which is great. I mean, well, at some point we know Steven has issues with his kids and his kingdom and he abdicates, but yeah, not something you just throw out in your first conversation with an old friend. 😉
