amazing
you are inspiring me to do this i am an essential worker and i want to create content on how to become an essential worker with appliance repair what do you think let me be your example to the public think media affiliate program
Awesome and informative video. Thanks for all your insights. God Bless
I wish there was just one camera I could buy that did everything 🤣 but I’m broke
Love these videos !!! They help me so much on my channel!!!
How do I do live streams with cameras like that?
When I first started my channel, I was skeptical of how difficult it was to continuously push out content Every. Single. Week. I had sleepless nights, the money I spent on filming equipment seemed like a waste, and I overall had no motivation to grow this channel... but I kept focused. Not only did I listen to the feedback, I learnt from my mistakes, focused on a niche and, most importantly, stayed consistent. Now... my channel is thriving more than I ever expected. If I can do it, you can too!
That's awesome! Congrats on your growth. :) YT is so much work!
@@OddPaw It is but if you put in the work and be consistent, it's worth it!
@@ThreeTwentyTech It really is! I love getting to interact with new people! This is my 2nd channel, my first one I started back in 2014.
Wow that is great to hear, thanks for the inspiration!
@@OddPaw what happened to your first channel? Why aren't you using it now?
I used to have a Samsung Galaxy S7 which I recorded a lot of videos with. Some of those videos got hundreds of thousands and even millions of views.
@Woozie It is not about the video.
Content is king.
The most amazing sound and video of a boring show won't get as many views as something entertaining and engaging that might have mediocre video.
I’m going to start making videos with my iPhone Eight until next year when I’m old enough to get a good paying job legally
and how much is the sumsung galaxy s7? my nephew had an iphone 10 and it was amazing. too bad he traded it for an upgrade wish he told me because i wanted to buy it from him
If You are Reading this, I wish You all become successful, I can't wait to see the sucess of you all 💙
Love your vibes! Sending you abundance & creativity your way!
And hey, do you have relaxing binaural beats? I've been looking for background music for my Mindful Hypnosis videos 💗 Dr. Liz
Awwww thank youuuu
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ thank you .
THANK YOU❤️ SAME TO YOU ❤️
You, too, one love!!!!!
Good luck to everyone ❤ i am starting my youtube journey 🎉and these videos really help
You know that moment when you have so many audio/video/lighting technique questions that you stress out, but then a single video literally answers all your questions? This is that video for me! I'm so grateful! Thanks so much!!!!!I'll be sharing this channel to everyone now!
I spent: $167 for BlueYeti mic, $200 for 2 Luxpad 22 ligthing and gonna spend another $70 for a phone prompter soon. In total: $437. Hope this helps!🙌
Phone promoter? Like teleprompter for scripts?
It's really cool to see your comments! They are very helpful
As someone who is just starting to try to get my channel up and running, I appreciate that you understand the reality of being on a budget. Being able to use my iPhone as my camera will definitely allow me to spend money on the other components that I need for better lighting and sound. Thank you.
🤘🏼
I've been using my iPhone X and a £30 Movo Cam as my MAIN RUclips camera for 2 years (now iPhone 12 Mini) with LumaFusion and Filmic Pro app. It's easy and awesome.
Great video! One thing I would like to see from your crew is a suggested set up for those of us who film in a workshop, garage or outdoors.
Love this set up. I am getting ready to start my channel and am currently using my phone until I get a camera. Keep these videos like this coming!
Definitely in the market for a inexpensive studio setup. Thank you for the information.
Really great video! The lighting set up looks awesome - didn't know it was possible to get that quality from just one light.
Great Video
I think that it's important to have the technical aspects of setting up a shot before the thinking of buying a camera.
You did it right.
Great content you’ve helped me so much with starting my channel for my twins. I really appreciate.
If I could get the right studio setup, I think I'll be good! Love these videos! :) And I totally agree about just using the smartphone!
Great content just following a few tips has been a great improvement and can’t wait to dive deep into VRA
This video was very informative especially for those of us on a budget.
This video was dope! Though I already have a decent studio set up, I still sound some useful gear in this video. Thanks for making this content! 👌🏾
You’ve inspired actually to start my own channel , thank you 😊
Nice video :) I've found that if I place a lamp with an LED bulb (so it doesn't get too hot) with some thin paper over the top (to diffuse the light) I can get pretty good lighting for my vids so don't worry if you're new like me, and not at the stage where you can buy specialist lighting!!
Thank you so much for posting this video. As a beginner, this is incredible information.
Thank you for not trying to peddle subgrowth in the video itself it was very informative. I've run across too many channels and videos that are trying to sell you on sub growth inseat of actual items that you would reccomend.
Again thank you so much for being so informational.
Amazing video. Thanks for sharing valuable information. Have a lovely day. Happy Thursday!! 🎉❤
The quality of the videos is important eventually, but personality is a key for success (for those who do get infront of the camera), for those that are camera shy (meee) quality video is probabably the most important.
I love these types of videos from Think Media.
Very helpful. Thanks, I'm just getting setup with this.
Just a tip from my experience. If you use your iPhone for videos buy a spare 3.5mm to lightning adapter. They are easy to lose or misplace and it’s always good to have a backup
For me the key investment is TIME. Yes 100% I need better lighting and a better mic. I already had a tripod (about 30 years old) but a box or shelf or whatever can work. Lighting will be next and a wireless mic after that. I don’t predict a camera any time soon. My spend so far has been on hosting the website to go with the channel and buying Lumafusion as the app I do all my editing on. Lumafusion is awesome but again there’s a time investment in learning it.
Solid looking light 👊🏼👊🏼
That’s exactly how I’m going to start my channel!! Thanks so much!
Yooo super helpful and clutch! Thanks for always putting out such practical videos ! 💯✔🙏
Thanks for this video, Omar. Very timely for me. Cheers from British Columbia.
Thanks for this! Great to show high quality and high value.
Thanks for the help i’m actually just starting up to RUclips channel and I have an upload anything so thank you so much for the advice
Hello! I just set up my GVM Cob Light - thank you so much for the tip!! I found one for 50% off, due to some blemishes. It looks INCREDIBLE!! I also found a used Rode SVM mic, two Rode Adapters (one for mounting, and one for my smart phone). I have it mounted on a most excellent K&F photography tripod, which is very stable and versatile. Because of this video, I was able to make affordable and informed choices for my tiny studios. Thank You So Much!!😁
Dope stuff again guys smashing it 💥💥
This was really helpful. Thank you! I love that light!
Just picked up the light! Thanks for the video 🤝
I spent around $100 so far, for lights and a microphone. But I might buy a ring light as well as a phone holder next 🙌🏻
that is a good start am figuring out how to starrt too. But up to now I use my smartphone. can we grow together
@@jDianGloryMinistry I feel you don't have to spend anything when you start out. It's just getting so dark in the UK right now that it was super difficult for me to shoot in natural light. Now it's so much easier and I love it 😊
Do not buy a ring light because it is limited in the color range they give. Instead, buy a dedicated video light, by Ulanzi on Amazon for $25, it has 81 LED and also has built in coldshoe for mounting to lighting poles.
@@notaturkey2607 Thanks for the recommendation! I'll have a look 😊
Hey Uli, I watched a few of your videos and it seems your audio is a little cloudy, muffled still. Your video quality is great so maybe consider a different mic (rather than anything video/lighting) or try altering the settings on your microphone/camera/phone (in terms of audio gain etc or mic positioning)
In terms of target audio, I think your video "How To Calculate Your Financial Independence Number" had the best audio, so you might want to aim for audio as good/better than that.
Hope that helps, friendly feedback!
After all the trails I’ve done with my photography and lighting journey 500 is good price point I’d tell a beginner. If they already have some gear on the side
LOVE THE BEATLES SHIRT OMAR!!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Just used my Samsung S7 edge since u said a smart phone might work and oh baby was it good! You saved me a lot of money with the camera thx so much
This video is so helpful…great to see this to help improve all my uploads
Great job and a good recommendation on light. Thanks!!! (By the way, the light reflects on your glasses, may be you can move up the light)
You did give me something to think about (thus THINK MEDIA 😉). I have a iPhone 12pro I do find the 4K in settings. I’m looking at usage, upgrading my phone plan for a higher cost monthly vs just getting a camera. Thanks! Think Media
great t-shirt. thumbs up for that. Oh, great video too!! Very informative. Just what I was looking for to get set up. Cheers mate
Thanks you for sharing this knowledge
Great video bro, I’m trying to figure the best way to go far as a setup and you give great ideas 💯
Awesome video, loads to take in... I’m have the sl2 or 200d as it’s known over here in the uk, I use it for photography. I have the iPhone 12 pro max so I will use that for my videos..
ALVIS! Nice thanks for sharing. I usually use a checklist from my notes 📝
Bought the Mactrem tripod and Diety Duo mic based on some of your other videos! LOVE both. ❤️
SWEET!
after watching and reading a bunch of stuff on this topic, i concluded that this is the absolute cheapest way to do things:
- buy a bright lamp and something to dispense it (white umbrella, light sheet..) and put it next to your camera (with books or boxes)
- use an external mic, it doesnt have to be very high quality. it just has to be close to your face. you could even use another phone to record your audio by hanging it above your head just outside the frame, or hiding it by ducktaping it under the table if you're sitting in front of one.
- stabilize your camera (with books or boxes) and film in 4k if possible (it boosts the algorithm).
- put some lights on the back for a better ambience (read: put 3 flashlights or your friends'/ family's phones.)
thats really it. this will give you enough of a "professional appearance" to start. all the rest can be done later on when slowly the first money starts to roll in.
+ iphone12 😆😆😆
Awesome job bro! Great information
Wish I had done this early on. Now I have multiple cameras but not as great lighting. Thanks for the tip on that light. Really needed to find a great light as the lights I have are smaller, cheaper and not very powerful so I have to put them very close and they are very harsh.
Very informative
Thank you for sharing this. Actually, smartphones now like Xiaomi and RealMe and Vivo and Oppo have good solid cameras and can shoot 4K as well... what I like about the other phones such as Xiaomi Redmi 9 Pro can shoot a video using the front camera with blur background... no need to buy a DSLR camera nowadays. I used pro cameras since 1990s with actual film (Canon AE1) in it and I've done lots of video projects using my (Video8) Olympus Camcorder during my university days. But thanks to this video and also the video of Caleb, I'm trying to find a cheap setup that makes my video recording process much faster. Thumbs up for the Think Media team, you should do this more often.
Thanks for the video!
Think media is awesome they gave me the inspiration and knowledge to get started and I love what I've done do far makes me feel pretty accomplished (even with only like 15 subs lol) got a sexy camera yesterday and I'm excited to use it.
Thank You! Very well done, learned a lot.
Bro Bro! Thank you so much for breaking tech down to a s and help us save money on n the mix. Virtual fist bump.
👊🏼
I've just started my channel, definitely using these tips
Thank you for the great info!
Very informative detailed, yet short 👍
Very informative. Thanks a lot.
Thanks for the info and appreciate the "like Request' coming at the end. Common sense to ask after!!
That softbox looks nice & compact. I need something small since my room is tiny.
Thank you for this video!!
i’ve been meaning to buy a nicer camera (the one i have now doesn’t have a rear-facing viewfinder or doesn’t allow me to attach a lense to it) but time has gotten away from me so thank God i saw this vid 🙏🏽 i was using my phone for audio but i’ma try it out as the camera & see how it goes!
Great video 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿 very interesting and informative 🙌🏿
Great Video bro👌👍
I’m going to buy (hopefully lol) the Canon M50 soon this month!! It’s finally in sale in my country at Best Buy!! This will be my first camera too so I’m super excited!! Thank you Sean and Omar for all your guys’ help on my decision!! 😎😎
That's incredible, it's one of the best cameras you can get! Appreciate you!
@@ThinkMediaTV Yay thank you :D I'm excited!!
Omar!! This was super helpful! Thanks brother!
got you!
Can you do a detailed setup for a top down creator? (Filming the table) as well as filming your face at the same time?
It would be helpful if the lighting (lightbars/ring lights) could be attached as well
Thank you ❤
Love this! I share my “RUclips studio” as it’s my living room lol. When the kids are asleep the studio goes up!
the grind!
@@OmarEltakrori it never stops! Lol
I started 3 weeks ago and will implement these tips 🤗
I have quite a good camera and use the Rode Micro and a small LED light. The rest is kinda DYI stuff. Next gear item for me would be a big keylight ... that GVM one looks amazing...but for now I have to be creative and think of a DYI version 😅😀
do you boom the rode micro? does wonders if you bring it closer to you!
@@OmarEltakrori I don't boom it technically, but the mic sits directly beneath me and rests on my desk, just out of frame with extension cable 🙂
Thanks a lot for responding to my comment!! 👍
You guys do incredible work!!
@@OmarEltakrori Do you recommend booming the mic vs shotgun on the camera for better sound?
Very informative. My thanks
Very informative video brother
Thanks for the information - I been running my channel for a short while. Question, I been wanting to get the sony SV-1 or the 12 pro max,, Right now I been using an 11 for my channel.. Which would you choose ? Thanks for your time - Irina
Excellent informative video
Great work... ALVS!
What about doing a budget virtual classroom setup, if you have not done so.
I am ready to set my YT Studio up and your Videos have been very Helpful. One Question, Is there a video that shows what equipment you use on a daily basis for content creation?
I love this channel so much man
thank you fam!
Big thanks to Omar and Think for putting out these videos! I am binge-watching them and came back to say how helpful they are. I am currently working on my studio setup so it's good to have this resource.
Great info bro.
I sold my SL2 a few months ago along with my 7Dmkii
The SL2 with the EF S 10-18 is good for video just no 4K
The 24mm 2.8 the pancake lens is good too.
I use a Sony a6600.
Since the pandemic hit I no longer do events or business meetings moving to street- urban and ebooks.
My whole camera set up changed it’s lighter and can do more
I don’t talk or get in front of the camera on my videos so my lighting and mic needs are different.
But I still like to watch these type of videos it’s nice to see what tech is out never know when you see something you might want to get.
I think the 6600 is one of the most under rated camera - literally has everything you need feature wise! we use it a ton!
@@OmarEltakrori
Hi Omar
yes it is.
After I sold everything I was looking at a full frame like an EOS R but skipped it due to the crop in 4K and the Sony A7iii and Fuji but to make a long story short I found a great deal online on an open box a6600 I love its features
I added the small rig cage to make it easier to mount a light and microphone.
Great help thank you 😊 🙏
This is really helpful thanks!
Great vid. I use the canon sl2 and a canon powershot sx730 and an iPhone 11 for all my vids.
Preciate the help bro ❤️
Awesome video Brother. Thanks
Glad you liked it
very important for the beginner youtubers
I love this ! ❤️
Comica definitely makes some great stuff. I am about to review that wireless mic, its great. Just posted the video.
Thanks for the info
Great video presentation! Thanks for taking the time to put it all together. With over 1.5 M subscribers - I'm sure your busy!! Q. Where are you finding the Canon SL2 for $400? Maybe 11/2000 it was?? Cheers!
Great advice.
Clutch my man!!
Regarding talking head setup in front of a desk (with a notebook), what do you think of a cardioid USB mic connected into the notebook? (something like blue snowball/yeti)
Alvs is a great mnemonic for youtube and content creation...great setup for smart phone users i say you a nearby pc to monitor your audio.. comica stuff rocks very competitive to rode.love the boom mic setup...
