Steve Wilson is a genre.
I think Steven Wilsonl's concerts are among the best rock live concerts that we can see today
+Matthieu Sloutchansky Correct Matthieu...this is prog at it's best....Thank you brother,,,
+Matthieu Sloutchansky agreed. Saw his solo band in 2013. One of the best gigs I've ever seen.
rick edwards Yes man, true, prog at his best point... A look in the past (Pink floyd, King Crimson) but with actual music creation...
TheAdam159 I would love so much see in live Routine, Drive Home , The Raven That Refuse To sing, and this kind of masterpiece in live... Next time he pass in France, i will go!
Matthieu Sloutchansky saw him live in february
Michael, I concur that Steven isn't bombastic, but keep in mind this song is about a woman living with the grief of her family being murdered. After attending a show on this tour in November, I can unequivocally state that I've never had a concert affect me spiritually, or completely envelope me as this one did. It was a revelation, despite the lack of pyrotechnics.
I would trade my soul to watch Steven Wilson play live.
Don't do that, just buy a ticket!! I hope you live near a City he is comg to this year, he just added US dates!!
tickets are 40 bucks
If you're in India, he's performing in Pune on 4th Dec. I heard him live a couple of days back at Shillong. Loved it. All the best
Neha Banik come to Mexico City tomorrow. I have a spare ticket for the show.
Me too Neha. But New Zealand is so far away. Thay said, his drummer Craig Blundell was here on Friday with the Steve Hackett Genesis Revisited tour (which was mind-blowing) so there's hope..
One of the most beautiful songs in the world
Beautiful while emotionally gripping. SW is brilliant
Prog Soul!
increíble ver y escuchar en vivo este tema
+Cristian Encina Diaz lo es
Steven seems like he is on a level with Roger Waters, Bono, McCartney, all the great musical minds who can tell a story!
Bono?
@@p165711 😆
He has always been wayyyyy above them!
@@p165711you don't know the first thing about Bono's music
No!
Nick Beggs backing vocals in the end is too awesome...
Este man, es un grande, qué canciones, qué obras. Te transportan al universo de la meditación y un éxtasis especial, muy bueno.
exactamente!!!
Is the crowd still alive after this? I'd be dead...
.
Mogator Productions I'm a BIG Muse fan as well!!
+Mogator Productions Im a HUGE Muse fan, but I always think that fans of progressive rock (or steven wilson in this case) think that Muse isn't in the same categorie of awesomeness as progressive rock artists. Therefore I'm really pleased to see your comment here. Im super glad that im not the only prog lover that also loves muse (sorry if this comment doesn't make any sens ;) )
Jesper van Werven Muse is not prog.
great artistry music for the ages one of the last true musicians
george vasiliou there are many many many great musicians out there you just have to look
All hail the master. Mr Steven Wilson.
Involving emotions - is hard in this day and time.... well done to capture it, nothing but respect.
This is pure perfection
probably one of the best band on the earth.
Me sigue poniendo los pelos de punta después de haberla escuchado 500 veces y alguna en directo... Wilson, eres una bestia parda.
I love This song so much! Saw Steven a couple years ago and saw Porcupine Tree live last year. Easily one of the best concerts I’ve been to.
That sounded amazing live. Wow.
Puto genio Mr.Steven...
The end of something beautiful.. The ending is something special
Mr wilson me encanta 😘😘 I love you!!!
I am crying like a baby
Right there with you. Damn.
gay
uno de los mejores discos que he escuchado en años. Increíble .
The man is a musical genius! His use of dynamics is incredible!
Magnifique !! 🎸 🎶 🎶
Tears in my eyes.
This song hypnotizes-me.
I saw the performance he made at the Belasco Theater. He happened to bring Ninet to sing her parts.
It was without a doubt the best musical performance I ever heard.
How the hell can Steven perform this wonderful song without totaly losing it 😢
Simplemente BRUTAL!!!
best song ever,,,,,,,love this 1............
La perfection ! sublissime je ne m'en lasse pas... c'est morceaux sont des cadeaux...
Maybe the best song of that album.
+paneska Ancestral is the best song in Steven Wilson solo career :D
+paneska Agree
agree twice

4:39 - i love it!
Extraordinaria canción 🙌🏽
es una delicia escuchar esto
Javat Seyer si que si ..😎

that guitar solo at 4:39 though! wish it was longer!
STEVEN WILSON GREAT , GREAT TIME !
serious musician ship here would really like to see this guy perform. hopefully comes to the states.
el master de los masters.
Wilson GENIO!!!!
maravilloso
gracias por subir estos videos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! mil mil gracias
true musician
Cracks!
i was there :D
Saw this tour in Orlando in November of last year; and yes it put us to sleep. As always, great fuckin' music from the Wilson, but everything from the venue, to the opening act was sleepy and just needed more energy. Doing two separate sets made it a really long show. Sometimes too much of a good thing is a bad thing. The Raven tour was by far the best.
Capolavoro
thank you
Saw these guys the other day in Albany. Amazing show. Great visuals and energy, though this song is not a good example. Still great however.
This is fuckin amazing sir Steven
Watta sounds 😍😍😍
One of my favorite albums of the past decade. Unfortunate that he didn't have the same group with him on tour that accompanied him in the studio. The drummer here especially seems "lacking"
Marco Minnemann is being held captive by Joe Satriani.
And Dave Kilminster held captive by Roger Waters...
Maybe Gavin from Porcupine Tree would have been the better choice. A stunningly good drummer and I’m not usually that into drums.
Great song but it's a little disappointing that the female voice is playback
LeAndro id , you can't always get what you want... I suppose you are also disappointed with there not being real people in the clip.
Jason Graham well. There is a live version of this song where there is actually a real female singer
Well blow me down.... guest recording vocalists rarely join the band for touring as they are not part of the band. Sometimes they make a guest appearance if possible. So I can understand that they may appear from time to time and that would be a very good opportunity to capture that performance with live video.
isn't the bassist the female voice here?
LeAndro id I was fortunate to see Ninet perform this with him in LA. I was also fortunate to hang out with her and her husband three weeks ago :). That was surreal.
Little known fact: At 2:45, that's the voice of former UK Prime Minister, Tony Blair's son Leo, who sang in a choir.
He visto el mismo concierto en Paris el ano pasado : màgico ... pero pienso que es Nick Beggs en bajo, y Adam Holzman en teclados ...
kocham
the only artist having the minimum number of dislikers.
4:39 beautiful tone and playing. What's his name?
Dave Kilminster
Where can I find this live in entire?
+Timothée Albiser In this playlist ruclips.net/video/eEbfBiHYAGY/видео.html
Ooh thank you so much that's awesome !
I love this album, still, 5:56 is sooooo "Eclipse"... same chords, same mood...
Is this concert available on DVD?
brazwen no
I'm here like, you better not forget any note!!
Too bad Ninet Tayeb couldn't be there to sing it for real!!!!
Does anyone know whether the acoustic guitar is tuned in an unusual way? (from 3:08) I can't seem to find the right notes on my guitar, while I watch him play
+LadyLorridaile I vaguely remember him mentioning one of his acoustics was tuned in Nashville tuning? Which is like a 12 string, but the strings are tuned to the non-standard notes. Not sure if it was that guitar though.
+Nicole Probably but its oddly sounding exactly like Pink Floyds' Hey you.....
genius
so sad sad song
I hear Steve Hackett
Dave Kilminster is an relative of Motorhead's Lemmy?
I thought he dyed his hair purple from the thumbnail
It's not the same without Marco and Guthrie
...and yet it still sounds great. Amazing that's more than one great drummer or guitarist on the planet.
Is there Ninet somewhere around?
Mr. Saurav Aryal From Gorkha??
Prabin Basnet nope .. from Kathmandu
I hate how he and his work are underated. :/
Minuto 4:45 exitante
:')
Who's the second guitarist?
Dave Kliminister
Kilminster
hi
What's the problem of the 7 unlikers?
I adore this song... but dont do this song if you dont have coverage on that high part please...
those 2 dislikes... how?
Mimed backing vocals?
Hilarious though
when the word 'time' is sung at around 7:05 i'm pretty sure i can here nick singing a harmony to the backing, its just not that high up in the mix
666 subscriptions xD
Why singing it without Nynet? Totally nonsense.
too bad theres one guitar untuned
Are we still going to ignore the fact that the bassist is actually pretending to sing the Ninet's part in the song and still he failed multiple times
Are we going to ignore the fact that the bassist is trying to pretend to sing Ninet's vocals and then fails at it too.
Bass player couldn't be bothered to tune his bass
