Steven's playing is just perfect for the "limited musician" that he calls himself.
If he considers himself a limited musician, I can accept that. However, his song writing and live performance arrangements are magical. Thank god I found his music
Steven is the master of modesty. I am 70 years old and have followed and seen in concert too many bands to list. Steven can hold his own with any musician. His creativity is what is astounding. He goes places no one else has even dreamed of going.

RIP Joyce Vincent, which this album was written about. Joyce Vincent was a beautiful young (38) English woman whose death went unnoticed for more than two years as her corpse lay undiscovered at her bedsit in north London. How does someone with friends and 4 sisters go missing and no one notices for over 2 years? It is a bizarre and fascinating story, and that is what many of the themes of this album are about. That we can be so disconnected from each other in this day and age is a tragedy.

The guitar riff at the start and from 10:30 to 11:25 is my favorite part of the entire Hand.Cannot.Erase album. To me, there is a sense of hope and adventure in that minute of music, where a lot of Steven Wilson music is more melancholy. I love all of his work, but this was a unique part of the album for me and definitely the part I am looking forward to seeing the most in 2 weeks.

Same here! When this song first came out i used to get stuck again and again in this little magical moment created, and self-declared this as the most epic piece of music ever created.

Lo voy a ir a ver manana, que pija de musica hace este maestro, es un genio y menos preciado aqui pero algunos amigos latinos tienen buen gusto como uds. Trsitemente aqui la shumada latina solo les gusta esa mierda de musicota ranchera y lo que llaman "grupera o banda" que me da escalofrios. Por eso busco refugio en esta hermosa musica! I don't think I've ever heard a song that speaks to me as much as this
I was at the Salt Lake City show 11/11/16. Once in a lifetime experience for me as I've been a SW/PT fan for quite a few years now. I was like a star struck little girl at this show. Absolutely incredible and to fortunate to stand on the front row made it that much more rewarding.
My favourite drummer would be Gavyn Harrison from PT days, an immense talent.

Why would you not use Marco Minnemann? He was the drummer in the recording.
Marco was the drummer during the European leg of the tour, and then Craig Blundell took over when they toured the Americas.

OK, if no one else will.... I'm gonne praise Nick Beggs. OMG what a boss on the bass (and chapstick depending on the track). But as always... bass lines and bass players are so underrated and underappreciated, unfortunately.

Every Steve Wilson song takes a while to hatch in me, but it always does eventually. His songs are designed to captivate you over the long term.
The guitars come alive so much more live than on the recorded version of this song........absolutely love this version!
I was a die hard prog fan I heard that Steven Wilson and porcupine tree had some good music. When he released the tickets for a live show in Stockholm I bought them immediately and then the next 6-8 months I dived deep into his catalogue. I was so amazed and then when the day came for seeing him live I had tickets for the fourth row. An amazing show gotta say and I’m so happy that I bought them so early without knowing what I got myself into
In the 60 and 70 we had Steve Winwood! And now: we have Steven Wilson, and just good music goes on and on! 😈😀😈
I've only recently come around to the magic that is Steven Wilson's music; Porcupine Tree was never quite satisfying for me, but his 'solo' stuff - and particularly Hand Cannot Erase - is just so incredible. Full of emotion, and he seamlessly covers so much ground musically while being rooted in prog rock (my favorite). Not to mention his backing band kicks ass. Thank you so much for posting this concert; I'm so sad that I had to miss him when here was here (Atlanta, GA) this past December. I'll be making sure to see him when he does come back again.

You must remember Porcupine Tree is Steven Wilson. Try listening again. "Sleep Together" worked for me.
We were at the Atlanta show 12/18. Could have died right then. Very special.

I think Craig blundell does a great job on the drums,I have seen SW 3times twice with Craig &once with mm,huge respect to both.
I can't get enough of this song. I can listen to it a hundred times and still never get bored of it. Steven Wilson is a badass composer with his awesome music arrangements. I saw him in San Francisco, he put on an amazing concert.

I cannot recommend seeing Steven in concert strongly enough. I caught this tour twice and was blown out of my seat both times. Sadly he is not coming to a city close enough to me for me to catch the To The Bone tour, but I would see it if I could!

I so much want him to break mainstream. A few weeks ago I heard a band on the "van" radio. Both my colleagues were discussing our work tasks for that day and I heard this great sound. Phone Shazam said "Koyo". Considering I'm 54, and a lover of psychedelic music, especially Motorpsycho, this took me completely by surprise. I can't remember the last time anything on radio( any British statio )got my attention. Don't remember which station but the brilliant Frank Skinner was the dj. Anyway, saw them recently at Sebright Arms, London. Gorgeous band and great venue. Still wondering though........why is Steven Wilson not getting that sort of airplay. You can try and feck me off with all excuses such as melancholia blah blah...It's always about money, they can dress it in any guise. Mainstream media is not representative of good music.
Should have told that to the young lady this Album is dedicated to.. majic carpet ride to Death before 30. in Brent x shopping centre Flats/apartments anothher part of dystopian London .Not some Hipster`s Paradice
