Steven is and will forever be one of my favorite musicians. His solos transport me to the best places.
hope you don't mind not being there alone
Great choices. Guthrie is an alien guitar master and just kills it. Steven has a beautiful feel though and his solos are thoughtful and just right. Similar to Gilmour.
Regret #9 solo is just majestic.
Dark matter ... my favorite one
Shesmovedon ! BEST SOLO EVER
There are so many Steve Wilson and his bands solos , writings that are just amazing one that is sticking in my mind now is the solo in where would we be. Where does it come from. Truly blessed writer
The solo on Drive Home hits me hard. Beautiful.
The solo from cheating the polygraph sounds like fripp
Beautiful solos. Mr. Govan is a deep monster of the infinite sound!!!
So we gonna pretend The Start of Something Beautiful never existed? Dude that's just a masterpiece.
That song is criminally underrated holy fuck
You nailed some of these. It's hard to compare Steven vs. Guthrie though. Nicely done!
Shesmovedon solo is the best I think.
All great. Lets see what you got for vol. 2
Pezzi favolosi .

Waiting Phase One..... just saying ;-)
Good choices but Ancestral missing. Also I would put Book of regrets there.
I'll have to admit...
Steven Wilson's guitar solos are easy for beginners to learn and play note for note on Squire & Epiphone guitars.
Agree, these solos encourage more people to go pick up and learn guitar.
La complexité n'est pas un but en soi, c'est sentir l'âme qui importe. Steve Rothery est un autre exemple. Le nombre de notes ne correspond pas toujours au nombre de frissons...
In a world of unoriginal guitar wankery they're a really fresh, it's cool that he manages to say so much more with so less
Guthrie is good over fusion tracks, but it doesn't feel natural to hear him in rock music.
You just feel like Guthrie's heart isn't in rock music.
Great elevator music
Sounds like bird shit .
