    What is the suggested dilution when using a foam cannon? Maybe just run it full strength in the bottle and let the foam cannon/pressure washer dilute it when you pull the trigger to apply on wheels? Will the suggested dilution ratio change if using as pre-wash (with maybe a splash of your incredible suds to aid with foaming) in a foam cannon?

      @diydetailofficial  Год назад

      If you have the 16 oz bottle, it's pre diluted at 15:1. So you would put that straight into an IK foamer, for example. If you get the gallon concentrate, that's when you would just put one ounce of product in a 15 ounce bottle with water to get that same dilution. I used 4 ounces of All Clean and 1 gallon of distilled water in my IK Foam Pro 12 to pre-wash my g/f's car before running it through my favorite touch-free wash. After a 10 minute drive back home I noticed the dirt/salt film pretty strong on the bottom sections still, an issue I don't have w/ Bilt-Hamber products. I've been interested in pre-soak products lately prior to contact wash. Would this be the ideal product to use for that? In theory, any rinseless wash or even soap can be used. Some use APC's or pre-foam type products (most of the pre-foam products like Gyeon Foam for example don't clean well and seem to be more for a visual appeal).

      Yes, diluting All Clean 15/1 make an amazing pre-soak. But before going that far, I highly suggest you take a look at DIY Detail Incredible Suds or DIY Detail Rinseless Wash. Their efficiency might surprise you.

    All Clean, a product I’ve actually used.
    #1. It’s VERY effective straight out of the gallon.
    #2 it loses a great deal of cleaning power at dilutions greater than 8:1.
    #3 it is very similar to Brake Buster (straight) at 4:1 dilution.
    #4 it’s … errr … nasty to breathe in.
    #5 Adding 1 ounce to soap is an excellent pre-treat.
    This stuff is a pretty good wheel cleaner. However, soap works just as well and is cheaper. It is NOT good on tires, even straight it struggles. Super Clean is a far superior product for tires. However, I don’t like stripping tires of dressings or coatings, so I’d rather use All Clean unless I need to nuke the rubber. Overall I think All Clean is a great boutique product but ultimately too expensive to be used professionally … as are most boutique detailing products. But at home, I mean … why not?
    EDIT: I know I sound negative and snarky. Not my intent.

      @@diydetailofficial Again, I support DIY Detail (in my own way). I don’t mean to be negative or disrespectful, I’m trying to be truthful and transparent.
      It’s in the name DIY Detail (Do It Yourself). The implied reference to doing it yourself at home. This trend that all professional detailers must use the best products and charge the most premium amount for services is not only alarming, it’s completely not true. That has NEVER been my business model nor any professional detailer I’ve ever met. Clients pay me for my labor, not for the products I use. As a professional, I rarely spend more than $10-$15 a gallon for any detailing product. In fact, most are well under $10 a gallon, more so when I get bulk.
      I get it, you have product and you want to move it. I’m 100% on board with that. But let’s stop with this whole thing that these products are ideal for professional use … because the opposite is true. You are adding to the pile that is confusing would be professional detailers. These people who think they have to use the latest and greatest to be a real detailer.
      Are DIY Detail products fun to use? Yes.
      Are DIY Detail products effective? Yes.
      Are DIY Detail products affordable? Yes.
      DIY Detail products are NOT economical enough to be considered for professional use, that’s the reality. That does not mean the products are junk. I would argue against that all day long. Marketing DIY Detail as excellent home use boutique detailing products is … amazing. It’s also fair and honest. But suggesting them to be good for professionals is just being dishonest.
      Just how I see it.

    Won’t the dirt and particles coming off the tires scratch the paint on the rims after you move to the next tire? The brush would be holding on to dirt no?

    • @diydetailofficial
      @diydetailofficial  Год назад +1

      You can be as exacting as you'd like on wheels. Certainly it depends upon the wheel face in terms of what it looks like and how susceptible it is to minor scratching, but if you're using the right surfactants and lubricants it's a safe process for sure. You can always do an insurance rinse and re foam on before you agitate the wheel face
