- The aunt of a Waukesha parade victim told Darrell Brooks that he needs to repent for his sins and come to Jesus instead of blaspheming God with his Bible in court. "I'm not coming to you in anger. I'm coming to you in unconditional love because that's what our Father offers us," she said. "You have to ask for forgiveness, you have to admit what you did."

But that’s the problem, don’t let the Devil win you over and make you anything like Brooks Jr. with his willfully hard and rage filled heart. You can’t have hate in your heart, you can want to see true justice, but not revenge. We can’t carry these burdens on our own, we have to give them all to Jesus, the only one strong enough to carry them for us.

This was powerful. And I think he actually heard it.
His body language & demeanor here shows that he “heard” her. This lady reached him. If you pay attention throughout, you will see it. He tried to con’t to look unfazed & nonchalant as with the others but her words reached him. Although, to me, it doesn’t matter bc nothing can ever erase or atone for the evil he caused.
He can act like he doesn't hear but before he go to bed at night she is the main one he is going to be thinking about what she said.
It might have gotten to him at that moment, but I am sure it soon passed. Books' narcissism allows him to push away any feelings of remorse, regret, or shame.

It is not up to us to seek revenge as it is stated in the Bible “…leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.” Forgiveness is not an easy thing to do, and I can’t imagine the pain these victims are experiencing. I forgave the man that molested me for nearly six years starting when I was four years old. I can forgive DB. However, Justice would be the death penalty. He would still have time to repent and accept the free gift of salvation through Christ Jesus and His completed work on the cross. Something DB didn’t offer his victims when he murdered those people and attempted to murder so many, many others. He actually was witnessed with his head out of the window of his SUV and SMILING at the Catholics he ran over! He deserves death, but alas that state doesn’t offer it.
God tells us to forgive, not for the person that injured us, but for the ourself. To carry I forgiveness in our hearts causes a heaviness that eludes the joy Jesus wants us to have. Love covers a multitude of sins and where there is hate it takes up space where love should abide.

My dad just recently became a Christian, for years he was an atheist filled with hate and actively doing harm, then he for years he didn’t believe in anything or want to think about it, but now he is truly saved. Why is he given anything to focus on other than the victims testimony. Sitting there fiddling with papers or writing stuff down. No Darrell you need to be paying attention to those that you've hurt and the court needs to make him.
I think he will address the court before he’s sentenced.
