him rolling his eyes at her after she said he shows no sympathy...proves her point.
This woman's impact statement was so powerful it shook me up. She's painted such a vivid picture of a mother's panic and the fear of the moment. Brooks is an absolute monster and his smirking and eye-rolling during the impact statements makes me feel more violently hateful than I ever remember feeling before.

People highly underestimate mental health and mental injuries when they count the amount “injured” from this event. People may heal physically but mentally it’s like torture.
I watched a video by statement analyst talking about parental reactions to missing child, and he stated that a parent's panic at not being able to find their child lasted more than a few minutes, then even if the kid was later found, the trauma would last for the rest of their life. I don't know if that's true, but after listening to this mother, I believe it. 😭
You are absolutely right! I'm a Psych NP. The ONLY consolation for these victims is that they seem to have a whole lot of love and support. But that love and support must continue for the rest of their lives, every bit of it. The terror and pain that these victims endured will have lifelong consequences on their mental health.

Tear jerking emotional statement; more amazing this woman didn't even lose a child. Courageous she could speak up for the parents whose children died.

@@carotintti8054 ❓️🤔 that she brought me to tears and I expected that I would have been more moved had she lost a child, but since that wasn't the case I can't imagine how much more grief would be on those that child were killed. That her speaking so eloquently was impactful, and in her own difficultly to do so I find her courage to express such on behalf of others amazing.
🤔 seemed 54 others were able to 'get my drift' 🙏 glad if I cleared it up for one.
@@carotintti8054 that's she's extremely tightly knit into the community, and that she's able to genuinely express her emotions, while not experiencing a loss as hard as other people. We aren't saying she isn't warranted to feel this way, but that she's incredibly empathetic

Darrell Brooks offers no remorse. - EYE ROLL!!! from Darrell Brooks - this man knows no boundries - he has no feeling for anybody but himself. His mother and grandmpther say he is ill - NO HE IS NOT ILL!!! He is evil beyond comprehension - I have never known such hatred as I feel at this moment towards this - THING - I cannot call him anything else - he dosn't deserve it. Somebody said he is like a mad dog - but even mad dogs have feelings and can calm down. There is no calming down with Darrell Brooks - he has no feelings for anybody or any thing except himself. Prison is too good for him - he dosn't deserve to breath air or have life like normal people. God bless all those hurting and suffering today that were involved - I hope you will find peace.

I think he's both. You obviously have to be mentally ill to murder multiple people. But that doesn't mean he's not evil as well. Those two things CAN coexist.

What an incredibly moving statement. I am lost for words.
God I could feel the pain through the screen. This couple was the perfect visual representation of all the emotions that comes with grief. She showed the emotional pain and despair. He showed anger and disgust while eyeing that P.O.S down. I could feel the sense of protection he was displaying. DB was too much of a coward to look these victims in their faces but this Father did NOT back down. He kept his hardened gaze on him as if he was waiting for the moment he needed to jump into action and protect his wife.
If this isn't a terror attack, I don't know what is! 💯🙏🕊️😢

One brave man made an incredible impact speech about the two murderers on the cross next to Jesus. One admitted his need for Christ and His forgiveness, and the other mocked him even in that state. Brooks has clearly demonstrated that so far, he is the mocking criminal. He has done nothing but mock, disrespect, and scowl. He is a horrible person. God is his only hope. I am sickened by his absolute lack of remorse and his sheer disdain for the victims and their families. He has shown less tact and civility than even the most vicious serial killers. I hope all of those impacted by these evil acts will know that so many of us in this country weep with you. Although we don’t know the pain you are experiencing, we mourn with you. Justice has been given in this world, and it will be given in the next when Brooks has to face his creator and answer for the horrible, evil, sick, detestable things he’s done.
I have the deepest respect and love for all the victims and their family members. I am in awe of all of you and I sincerely hope for your peace and healing.

It's taken me awhile to think of the victims after what this coldblooded person did. His life is over. I want to focus on the victims more now.

This woman exemplifies just how far reaching Darrell Brooks' actions are. My heart breaks from her. Her mother in law travelled internationally to spend time with her family. I am thankful for her bravery to share her experience.

She's correct when she says he speaks as if he just made a poor choice, an impulse, or a poorly thought out choice. This man planned this attack, and showed a complete disregard for human life leading up to it. All because of his own feelings of self-importance.

I know these survivors have healed physically but will never heal emotionally they will never get over that terrible attack! There was 76 charges against DB but there were many more that were affected by this poor excuse of a man!

Naw. It doesn't work that way man. We can't just make it legal for when we feel like it is needed. We should never have the death penalty for the simple fact that innocent people do end up getting convicted and executed.
