- Law enforcement pleaded with Darrell Brooks to tell the truth after saying his story didn't add up. "You don't have a car.....you don't own a car.....so why did we find you with a car key in your pocket?" an officer asked Brooks.

How any woman could stand to be around this guy long enough to get pregnant, is beyond me.
That’s why he went for little girls.
Well, Erica was still a child, so there's that.
Amen. Guard your daughters!!!!
That's the scary part. I know Erica was only 15 at the time (how old were the other 2?) but that only means that dads need to teach their daughters. Same can be said for women. Remember Jodi Arias?
Proverbs 24 11 🥀 oh hold them back who are stumbling toward destruction
Erica seems a bit off.
The amount of times he forgot his shoulder was “ hurting “ is fascinating 🤣😂😂
HIS MOTHER IS AN ENABLER AND HAS BEEN HIS WHOLE LIFE
Same with Grandma. Sorry, her highness "Bishop Grandma".
I agree! She repeatedly let him drive that SUV knowing he had no license or insurance! I hope the victims hold her accountable! She is financially responsible for the injuries and damage he caused! And now she is making the talk show circuit boo hooing and making money for herself off this tragedy! That money should be confiscated and given to the victims assistance fund! That witch has absolutely no morals and no right to make money off this tragedy! She is as evil 😈 as her murdering son!
@@timpritts1499 I totally agree. All of that money should go to the victims. I haven't seen any of the interviews, but no doubt it's all just feeding her already elevated ego. 🙄
@@VioletJoy Oh yes! I didn't see that intrview, but my roommate did! She has decided she is a mental health advocate! She was boo hooing saying the judge was so unfair sending her Darrell to prison for life instead of giving him a few years in a mental health facility! He said she was preaching quoting scripture just like her evil son did in court! This after 4 psychiatrists said mental illness did not cause her son to do this! He said she was boo hooing all the way! She considers herself a victim too! She is a narcissist and evil just like her son!
@@timpritts1499 That's nauseating and such a slap in the face to the many victims. It's funny how she thinks her son, who showed his sanity throughout the trial, should only have to go to a mental health facility. 🙄 No doubt he is volatile and lacks empathy, but that doesn't mean he's mentally insane. Hopefully whoever interviewed her didn't fall for that nonsense.
I've studied quite a bit about narcissism these past few years as I was married to one for 22 years and find human psychology interesting. One thing I've discovered is that narcissists always have one parent who is a narcissist. It's no secret who Darrell's narcissistic parent is...and who her narcissistic parent is. Bishop Grandma is just as bad.
This guy has gotten away with talking in circles his whole life and thought he could get away with it in court. Best way to deal with people like this in normal life is to cut off the conversation and refuse to engage.
That’s what makes them believe their right.
@@chicoboybrezzy954 I agree

He's like a verbal bulldozer just plowing over other people's words so they can't say them. I noticed at one point every time the judge started to speak he would jump on top of her words and cut her off but when she hesitated he wasn't saying anything.

Keep on believing that you'll be right next to your cuz in prison

It was a fairly poor strategy of Darrell Brooks to think that denying his own name could form the basis of a defense, considering that his driver's license was available. He was like a little kid who shuts his eyes which makes him invisible
He didn't have a valid driver license. It was a state ID. His driver license was revoked because he didn't pay child support.

😂😂 you’re right!!!
Same as when he arrested and the bodycam played in court. When the cops asked him his name, at gunpoint, he immediately said, "Brooks, Darrell Brooks!" And he'd just objected to being called that name only for it to be played seconds later and then confirmed that he said that by the police officer witness.
Jailhouse legal advice, he was trying to be held in contempt with all his antics, i dont respond to that name,I don't understand , I know my rights, interrogating the judge, outbursts, interruptions, staring, yelling all this worked for him ( day to day life) but not this time
@@betty-janececile5214
Might not be so much as jail-house legal advice as it was a strategy 1 of his original lawyers mentioned. But FWIW, you're 1 of only a few people I've seen discussing this. Seems like nobody else realizes it's part of his "plan".
From my understanding, he's doing everything he possibly can to throw the judge off track and cause her to do ANYTHING that could help him win an appeal.
And I believe the judge knew this, as someone mentioned she'd admonish him and remove him from court, but always stopped short of holding him in contempt. If she did (even if it was warranted), she was afraid he could use that as ammo for his appeal, claiming he didn't get a fair trial, the judge was bias against him, etc. So even tho it may have seemed like she was being easy on him, it may have been part of the big picture to make sure he never gets out.
Darrell Brooks questioning Erika in court: "Don't you think it's important to tell the truth to police?" A piece of work, this guy.
Yes, I noticed that Brooks was very concerned during the trial that the public wasn't being given all the facts, wasn't being told the truth. If the truth is important to Brooks, why didn't he just enter a guilty plea and save everyone the expense and time of a lengthy trial?
It was important to him to find out the troof 😂😂 but only when it benefited him!!
that was unbelievable "being honest to the police"
Excatly and he sitting here lying
Right . That’s was I was thinking
"You knew I was lying?! How could you lie to me?!"
Wow, this guy is unbelievable. He thinks he can lie to the police and get away with it.
Admit lying to the police. Gets ticked off being lied to.
Wanted to make deals before answering the police.
He does the same thing here that he's doing in court. He's trying to take control of the conversation, keeps turning it around on the guys, keeps trying to be the one asking the questions putting them on the defensive so he won't have to answer the questions they're asking him. Total narcissist. It's all about him. Never mind how many people he hurt and tried to hurt.
Cause he’s trying to play innocent and deny he did anything wrong. Desperate to save himself from life in prison as his own defense lawyer
He's a fool and is only prolonging the inevitable.
It's always the same. "Answer this one question & I'll cooperate." He never does.
The cops lie more than he does! I have a real issue with this officer. He know exactly what Brooks has done, but he says things like "You were driving a little silly", trying to get a confession out of Brooks. This cop should lose his job. Brooks should be a free man.
I’m looking forward to the tantrum he’s going to throw when he hears the “guilty” verdict.
It saddens me as a human being that this man shows no remorse, no accountability, no empathy.
Wow…. Him thinking he did nothing wrong is absolutely mind boggling. He’s insane. Also incredibly narcissistic and ignorant.
it’s incredible to me that he can act like he did nothing wrong after what he did, like you were saying. If I had done some thing like that, and it would’ve been accidental because I could never, I would be physically, mentally and emotionally sick. I would probably be throwing up, I’d be having trouble breathing, I would feel such guilt that I couldn’t function. And he’s sitting with detectives cracking jokes and trying to be cute like nothing ever happened. Shows you a lot about who he is as a person.
So sad
Yes on all 3 counts.
Oh, he knew damned well he did much wrong. That's why he was so worried about what the detectives knew.
The most amazing part of this to me is that he always thinks he's the injured party. Unbelievable. For God's sake, don't ever let this person out on the streets again.
why would you say that , there's a very good possibility something happened to him. no I don't know about that f****** Christmas party b******* I wasn't there but I'll tell you this much anyone who takes a motor vehicle and drive through a crowd of human beings they seriously have a psychological problem. now if they're referring to comments this individual is making on the internet well in that case that's a little bit different of a story we all have the right to freedom of speech and it also covers emotional expression. so that being said I would love to hear your opinion about my reply to your initial comment.
another thing that's kind of crazy my neighbor I believe is part of the Jefferson County sheriff's office but he works in the administrative department believe it or not 😜
Pretty typical of someone as sick, deviant and on the malignant narcissism spectrum to ALWAYS be the victim.

The death penalty was made for cases like this.
Exactly!
I'm not too keen on giving the government, the same government that runs the IRS and the DMV, the ability to kill its own citizens. If they get it wrong, just once, an innocent person gets put to death. People find it a lot easier to brush that aside, unless it'd happen to them or someone they love/care about. Then I bet it'd be a pretty big deal. Death penalty is purely revenge and vengeance driven, not justice based.
Besides, the death penalty has been proven time & time & time again not to be an effective deterrent to crime.

However, “normal/typical” kids who weren’t born deviant psychopaths don’t began the “creative lying” ( which is actually a fairly normal and even healthy sign of childhood development ) until around the age of 8 years. It’s also typically short lived- a year or less.
He’s apparently stuck developmentally at age 8.
His ego wouldn't allow him to just ask for attorney. He thought he could simply talk his way out of this lol. Had he done so, the prosecution would have nothing to play in court (not that they even need it)
Apparently it's even weirder than that, he doesn't like his name being all capitals...
@@Songbirdstress what??😳😳😳 I Have no words.smh
Such a comfortable liar but such a lousy liar.
He's a narcissist. That's all they know how to do, even when caught in a lie. They'll just keep lying. 💯
Body language experts would say the way he was holding his arms out palms up and arms up and down, means "begging to be believed" or "please buy this story"
Yup. I Sub to EWU, Stranger Stories, and Red Tree. I learned a lot from them. I was thinking the same thing you mentioned. 😁
never heard that, I've always heard palms up means nothing to hide. we all know hes lying though
As a person with autism with abnormal body language, I'm always scared that people will judge me the wrong way for it.
Nice catch
Body language don't mean anything
"you guys haven't been straight up w me"
" you mowed down a parade of children and grandmothers"
I just realized when he describes there being a lot of people out he mentions couples, both older and younger, " the scene was vibrant" He saw happy couples and wanted to destroy them.
6 Life Sentences + 850 years...
He has placed himself at the scene of the crime(s), placed himself in the vehicle, has the key to said vehicle in his pocket, his girlfriend has testified to his state of mind just before the crime(s), 6 people are dead, 60 are injured, many severely, and now he's having an out-of-body experience as to who committed the crime(s). He's in what I call "MOOK DENIAL" - that's when everything points to you and you basically say prove it and I'll lie at ever turn - cus this is how I've rolled my whole life.
And we don’t pay MOOK’s……

The one and only true statement Brooks made was when he Said he should have just watched the game & stayed home
Didn't his lawyer tell him not to talk to cops?
You have to be smart enough to stop the interview and as for one first
he is the lawyer
After witnessing the Darrell Brooks fiasco, defendants should not be allowed to represent themselves.
Am I dreaming or at one point did the detective call him Marcus? 6:18 “for the love of God Marcus…”
Well, he did object in court at being called by Darrel or Mr. Brooks so I think that makes it fair game for anyone to call him any name they want. I’ll stick with psychopath… has quite a ring to it.
I caught it too. Maybe calling him Marcus was a tactic to see if Darryl would say, "My name is not Marcus."
He definitely did.
Darrel told the officer "Marcus" was the name of his fictitious friend who drove Darrel to town in the fictitious tan car that definitely wasn't a red SUV.
If only Marcus would come forward and tell the truth that the court has been hiding from the jury!!! lol
This was the moment when he realized he wasn't going home ever again. It was all over. I could watch this again and again.
This guy is so guilty and he talks all about it . Wishin ‘ they did not abolish the death penalty .
He wants other ppl (in this case, the detective) to show him the courtesies he’s not willing to show them. Here, it’s being honest and completely transparent. In court, it’s expecting the judge to provide him with “proof” for every single thing, and being unwilling to offer a showing of proof when it comes to his rationale for asking a witness a question that she’s in between about letting him ask before the jury. And so on.
Omg. The car was even in his own rap video... Mathboi Fly
Was that presented in the trial yet because that's evidence but I'm assuming Mr. I object every 5 seconds sounds like another narcissist just like Jussie Smollett
@@geno1825 Yes the video was shown but with no audio. Lmao, Jussie Smollett narcissism levels sounds about right 😆 Yep, you can't use logic with the cognitively dissonant...
In the first minute of this video he literally told them he knew exactly who he was plowing through and over then animated everything even the acceleration and going over the bodies. Young people a married couple old people, people, people, people, people people... and then said it was “vibrant”. Truly one of the most viciously diabolical subhumans that exists
I had the same feeling about what he said there.
No, he said there was a lot of people everywhere walking. He was not describing what it was like going over them. Listen again
"Even the acceleration and going over the bodies"? He didn't say any such thing! I think you had wishfilul thinking for an admission of guilt. Which of course he is incapable of doing. Narcissists never admit their wrong doings.
@@Julia-uh4li apparently you and I did not watch the same video. He is explicitly transparent. Starting when they first told him to get down on the ground, all through the interrogation, then using the public defenders and “planting” papers under his mattress and the last minute switch to represent himself and the Pre trial hearings and using his mom to commit felony fraud and feigning deafness in one ear and his practically verbatim copycat “defense” (knowing full well that even with a judge one 10th as diligent as this judge he’s going to lose his appeal) oh and his “creative writing” masterpiece of a Reddit post... I could go on and on but unfortunately based off your adamant reply to my original comment and refusal to actually watch what the hand and body motions of a “person standing in a park” are animating out for you, I’m guessing you don’t want to hear any more or any details anyway.
@@rachelross1657 I did too. What he said. How he said it and what his hands and body were doing while he said it.
The best video I’ve seen of this POS yet! The moment he realizes they know he was driving the car and they don’t care about his fight with his gf. Priceless!
Sorry dude but the FBI was not there to inform you of why they there. They do not have share that with you. 😆🤷♂️
Yes, they do, unlawful detainment.
@@dirtymikentheboys5817 🤣
They’re also legally allowed to lie as much as they want while interrogating a potential suspect.
His Whining, “y’all lied to me man…” ( poor him ). The cop was good, he simply came back “and you’re lying to us too.” Lol
Its such a shame the people from the parade didn't get their hands on him first!!!!! He lucked out there.
He's clearly evading responsibility ,accountability
I’m still amazed at the guy who let him into his home to call an Uber /mom ….will he continue to be a Good Samaritan
It was evidence used against the perp so it was a good deed on many levels.
Love how he’s being so respectful to these two men than he’s been to the one female judge 🙄
That’s because everyone is always nice to police officers because they think they can get away. Now that he is in jail and Court, he doesn’t think he can get away there for his tactic changes to being rude and wasting the judges time for his own amusement... it’s very common; and Word to the Wise, never talk to police because they won’t let you go.…
Female judges don't deserve respect for obvious reasons.
That's because he's scared of man who can fight back
She was hot... Hot women are intimidating tbh
@@gt4666master stop watching p** freak
“I was not drunk…” just admitted he hit those people. But thank goodness, he wasn’t drunk, at least not on liquor, maybe 😅
He called his mother to call and pay for the uber for him which she did but since he was on the move, the uber didn't find him at the location he was suppose to be so he had to borrow another person's cell phone to contact his mother again to give her his new location. She called the person's phone back to find out what was going on with her son but the person didn't call her back. These people who let him borrow their phones testified that he called his 'momma' to get him the uber and didn't call for the uber himself as obviously he didn't have any $ on him. When he was arrested, he had the sandwich the homeowner made for him as DB claimed to be homeless which was another lie. DB's actions that day prove he intentionally ran over the paraders and tried to escape the scene via an uber lyft and ditched his own phone so he couldn't be tracked. The red suv belonged to his mother and he told the detectives that he had a driver's license but didn't have a car and didn't drive whilst he was in Waukesha which was another lie.
Lies lies lies
The fact he was offended, because they lied to him. Even though he himself lied so many times,he himself couldn't keep track. My question is does/did his mother's vehicle insurance give her the compensation for the vehicle? Can the families sue Ms Woods for allowing a uninsured, unlicensed driver utilize her vehicle, knowingly? There is no way this is the 1st time use of the vehicle. Negligence on her part? Any thoughts?
@@sinclairreed5367 that's an excellent question
@@sinclairreed5367 I hope so! He was only out on bail because SHE PAID IT.
