Knowing where they were going with their questions as opposed to Brooks just reading them out and then not following up with anything.

He told the detectives that he took care of his kids and that too proved to be a lie as his girls live with their mothers in different states. He lied to the homeowner in order to come inside their house as he knew the cops were looking for an African American man with dregs and beard wearing a red t shirt, jeans and no shoes. He discarded his phone so the cops couldn't track him as his phone would ping off cell towers. The uber driver didn't find him at the location he gave as he was on the move to avoid being spotted by the cops who were looking for someone who matched his description. The state is almost finished presenting it's case and it will take a 'hail Mary' for the defense to overcome a guilty verdict on all 70 criminal counts
