I have a four year-old stepdaughter who is still piecing together words into phrases, and obviously could not represent herself in court. This doesn't bother me. 😂
Now here's what she CAN do, in contrast to Mr. Brooks:
1. Listen when others are talking. (We wait our turn to speak at the dinner table) 👍
2. Manners. (Not raising her voice when angry, sit down when it's time to ... sit down)
3. State her name. (This one's a little sketchy, but she usually says it after we do) 😊
4. Apologize for bad behavior. (Doesn't always like the consequence, but says sorry)
I'd like to commend Rory for her continued excellence in these areas, as individuals such as Mr. Brooks struggle to secure even one of the qualities mentioned. It's an evil world. My heart goes out to the victims and their families, may God bless them and keep them.

Nationally broadcast crime/case, with the guy representing himself in the hopes of delaying and sabotaging the proceedings at every point. I'm sure that he hopes to provoke the judge and corrections officers to the point that he can get from them a fiery outburst or even better, a violent response. Same thing if the judge rejects this circus and appoints an attorney, dude would claim the right to defend himself had been taken from him.
