    Hmm like i said i will make it. I just wanna say rhanks a zillion i got the ingredients needed from an ibo Nigerian store. And i made it exactly as instructed. And it's amazing both the taste and look. Even smells so wonderful. Though no palm wine to top it all up. Hubby is super excited. All thanks to you. 😘

    Have you try Abacha Ngodo isuochi, we call it iwu though, we have various varieties and methods to the Abacha...
    We don't use potash but ncha in preparing the ngu. Full options should include sweet corn and mushroom

    Sist next time try to fry or roast the Efu a lit bit before grounding it will give the Abach a very rich taste. Both the crsyfish fry a lil bit, if u are using dry pepper also fry a lil bit. Just try it

    Nice one Flo 😘👍. Green leafy lettuce (not romaine or butter lettuce )is also a good one in place of garden egg leaves ,then u can also use eggplant if garden egg is not available.they are almost the same . 😄😊

      My spice grinder is Krups coffee grinder and my pots are 18/10 original stainless steel pots.

      cynthia Harrison I get okpa flour from Nigeria. Look for bambaranut flour on Amazon. I have never bought from there though so I can't confirm if it's the real deal okpa flour.

    please Flo can i use plantain fufu flour for ukpo ogede. i saw your receipe i want to try it. you said plantain flour. i don't know if the fufu flour is the same. please reply.

      Linda Umidy it should be OK to use it as plantain flour. I think they are "technically" the same. Remember that overripe plantain must be added to it for it to be tasty. 👍

    hi ma, I don't know if you'll see this but I hope you will. I have a question, is edible potash ngo or akanwu in Igbo. we use both to prepare ukwa in my house but my mum doesn't use any in preparing abacha.
