How to make AGIDI JOLLOF from scratch | Flo Chinyere

  • Who grew up in Nigeria, especially Eastern Nigeria and did not eat Agidi Jollof in secondary (high) school?
    This was our go to school snack in secondary school, washed down with a bottle of chilled coke or fanta. Chai o!
    Ingredients:
    3 cups dry white corn gave me 7 wraps of Agidi Jollof
    12 small chewable soft bones (I used ribs)
    1-2 teaspoons Nigerian curry powder
    Salt (to taste)
    1-2 teaspoons ground dry cayenne pepper
    1 teaspoon thyme
    1 red onion
    2 small seasoning cubes (beef flavour)

    Uma leaves (thaumatococuus daniellii) or

    Chaaaiii chaaaii! This just reminded me of my Sec. School days, I buy 4 wraps with cold pure water, go straight to the back of my Hostel maka ndi ayiyo, balance well and enjoy before break runs out 😂. Aunty Flo, chai.. Agidi jollof, Choii.

      @@edithann7329 when u put small quantities of water to make the agidi thicken very well before adding the coconut milk to make it to the normal consistency required!

    Love the video. Looks like what we call ukwoka in my native language. I do not think it is, because it is not as smooth as yours. Also made with corn but no meat inside. Yours looks like agidi mixed with fried stew. This menu is new to me and very interesting. Thanks for sharing.

    Very interesting. We use maize meal to make a thick porridge called nshima or pap and its our staple food. We have it seperately with different types of stews
