Woah I don’t think that’s true personally but just my opinion. He recognized that he turned a question into a heated debate because her question triggered him. His argument was really amazing, but he’s not focused on “being right” because I think he recognizes that doesn’t mindset doesn’t really switch minds, only reinforces worldviews. By apologizing he is both giving her some space to reflect and maybe look into his claims and watch the film he suggested, and being careful to not be what he sees wrong in the world - even if he has the “right view”.

Sorry, I thought she was referring to those Hamas fighters who slaughtered innocent Israelis civilians as animals. I agree with her. Much like I believe that the Israeli Government, who have slaughtered innocent Palestinian civilians, are animals.

The other day I was at a restaurant and speaking about these issues. I really don't like taking any side in this matter since news is so censored and spun into narratives nowadays. Someone asked me whose side I was on? I had to respond, "on the side of humanity." The point I was trying to make is that this man is playing to the crowd. He's got the mic and he's good with it, and that lady is saying things that are unpopular with that audience. Of course he comes off as smart and she as stupid. But that isn't cause he was speaking the pure truth and she pure falsehood. And the paternalistic tone he struck with her, the way he pretended at empathy without actually being emphatic, it's just tricks and showmanship and a little misogynistic if you ask me.
If you ask me, Israel is headed down a dead end, politically speaking. They need to find a way to peacefully coexist with the Arabs in their country and those in neighboring countries. They need to settle the refugee crisis. And all of what they're doing is bringing them further from that. Inevitable things will happen someday, Israel in its current shape will fail one way or another.
I also think any Palestinian state that will be established will become just like all the other Arab states, violent state oppression, unease with political Islam, economically mal-developed, and a net exporter of human misery, violence, and crime. The present is bleak for Levantine Arabs and the prospect for the future is not much better.
