Another reason why I will stick to the V6. I can not afford to risk my house catching fire. The 4xe looks awesome and fun, but it's just not worth putting myself and neighbors at risk of a fire while sleeping. 😳 Here in southern California, a fire can easily put an entire neighborhood at risk.
I understand. But also keep in mind even the basic manual transmission, (gas) Wranglers had a recall for fire potential. All I'm saying is, no vehicle is immune for a recall, be it fire or safety related. Having said that, I definitely respect your opinion! Happy Jeeping. OIIIIIIIO

Thank you for the Video. As always very informative. It's good to know a good dealership who can work on these. Called them few mins back, looks like they do not provide loaners for recalls. Got an appointment next month. Will see how it goes.

My 4xe has been at the dealer for 3 weeks now. I took my 4XE in for the recall, and they said they "updated" everything and it was all good. 1 week later, the car left me stranded with tons of messages and faults. Car would not start. I had the vehicle towed, and they said the entire EV battery needs to be replaced. Luckily, still under warranty... bit its been 3 weeks now...
Same thing happened to me. Went in for the recall. I picked it up and about a week later, it completely failed. My jeep was jerking when I stepped on the gas or it went nowhere. I dropped it off 2 days ago. Service guy said they just got permission from Jeep to replace the battery but there is no timeline on receiving it…now, we wait.
@@nasdaq3000wow sounds like we are in the same place! Yeah it’s been about 3 weeks now, and the dealer says the battery should be in within the next few days. I was able to get a rental car 2 days ago from Chrysler. I was told that logistics of shipping is a big thing; because it’s a “proprietary” battery and is 15-25k dollar battery and they have a specific company ship them. I’ll keep you updated !
Went in for the defroster and B9A recall today. Checked in with service at 7:49am and got the Jeep back at 8:40am. I questioned how it could be done so fast-should have to charge to at least 90% (I dropped it off with only 40%) and what about the two 3 hour sleeping cycles. The dealership said they only need to perform that section if the initial battery read tells them to.
I would say no.... For one, could they even charge your battery to 95% before they could test? At almost half of battery life your over an hour just to even charge. Then page 7 of the procedure says TWO 3 hour sleep cycles are CRITICAL to the test. at 7:17 (left page) you'll see the 4th note down. I'd argue you didn't get a proper test.
I sold mine with the b9A recall early February I would have waited had I known to get more money but whatever. I got a 2024 392 now much better. Never going electric again
So far so good, color is the High Velocity Yellow got a great deal on it (guessing someone did not like the color or 4xe) :). I love it. Just got a steel rear bumper that I am going to install the rear park assist on and enable. Doing this yourself is actually pretty easy and you can get the parts used and complete it for under $100 (just need Jscan or alfa to enable)@@JeepsOnTheRun

That's fair feedback. It's definitely something owners should be aware of, and how to put out a fire like this.

Reading this. I don't think I got a proper test either. Now my Jeep simply says "electric mode not available".
I'd definitely take it back to the dealer and demand it's redone.

@@JeepsOnTheRun Agreed. I've been here for 3.5 hours so far. After they finished the first time I lost all electric mode.
Yea my dealer definitely didn’t do that . I came in with zero (-1) battery got it back with zero (-1)

I love the 392, great choice. Sorry to hear your experience with the 4xe wasn't great. 😢
Got a used 2022 Rubicon 4xe and mine does not show as part of this recall. Not sure if that a "good thing" or not... :)
I don't see any reason to think it's a bad thing :)

Sorry to hear. :(

Is it in for other reasons? or just the recall?
3 months later Star still will not release my battery

So not really a fix, same old battery. In which case you need to bring in your Jeep for battery integrity test on a regular basis.

Do you have any experience with them? I'm just curious if you've ever owned a vehicle with a recall?
