    PSA for the girlies who want to try model schools / camps: do your research 👏👏 Many of them teach you that exploitation (and even trafficking) are normal practices. They are not. An actual gig would not involve modeling in underwear, cold weather / water and other dangerous conditions without a bulletproof contract protecting your interests and a fair compensation. The photographer MUST provide a space to change even on walk-around-the-city shoots, there are portable changing tents that are as light weight as a reflector that your photographer is already carrying around. A professional modeling teacher / agent / photographer will never be overtly friendly / touchy / sleazy, they’ll stick to the traditional boundaries and respect yours whatever those may be. Don’t be afraid to walk away when things don’t feel right. Stay safe out there 😘 EDIT: Remembered that professional lingerie and nude shoots have an intimacy coordinator on set and provide flesh-colored body tape for your privates, even when you’re wearing underwear anyway, both for your comfort and easy editing. Also, if a *real* photographer does nude photography, it’s all about showing off their lighting skills aka the majority of the body is barely visible since it’s the outline that they’re after. These are the *only* acceptable nude shots in your photographer’s portfolio, otherwise they’re working for *cough* another *cough* industry. ALWAYS GOOGLE YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER’S PORTFOLIO PRIOR TO THE SHOOT

      Thank you for saying this. I’m pretty sure she said in the comments that the school is Barbizon and that has been a known scam. I hope she thrives, but I also worry because so many of those schools are scams (as someone who went to one of those schools-Millenia Modeling Agency). They do not have the models’ best interests at heart.

      @@nikkicrisp8563 I still have my notes (left after three classes) and it’s legit grooming. And they called me (15 at the time) an up stuck nerd for questioning the necessity of always being “camera-ready” and used examples of tweens doing lingerie shoots abroad to make their logic not seem totally absurd. I think I need to make a lingerie edit now that I’ve remembered.

      Are there any schools you recommend?

    • @lucyl4603
      @lucyl4603 9 дней назад

      @@mennaaaaaa well, you don’t need to go to school to model. You also don’t need to fit into a certain beauty standard since there are *many* ways to model. I do recommend bosu training and alike since you’ll be staying in one pose for greater amounts of time. Befriend your eye doctor since studio lights blind you *big time*. As for model “training”, self-portraiture is your new hobby. Find your angles, learn which lighting setups suit you most cause for portfolio shots you can end up with a rookie photographer who doesn’t really know how to light (they don’t even teach lighting to photographers in some schools cause it’s the “gaffer’s job”🙄). Pretend-vlogging helps a lot with how you present yourself.

    Psa: please nobody use that at home face mask for hormonal acne. No dermatologist would ever recommend this. Hormonal acne is caused by a hormonal imbalance and has nothing to do with how oily your skin is. If you have hormonal acne look into getting your hormone levels checked and pick up a product with benzoyl peroxide.

    • @okaythen7360
      @okaythen7360 2 дня назад +1

      Not saying this to be mean but take it from someone who had hormonal acne (and spent a lot of time at the dermatologist fixing it) who used to make that exact mask

    • @focusmusic778
      @focusmusic778 Месяц назад +8

      Not everyone's shoulders are wider than their hips. There are several different body types. But the pear body type is where your hips are wider than your shoulders, the hourglass body type is where your shoulders and hips are approximately the same width, and the inverted triangle body type is where your shoulders are the widest part of your body.
