- If you just built, bought, or were given a new (to you) gaming PC, there are a few things you need to do AFTER the first time you turn it on, and BEFORE you start gaming. It's like tuning a Hot Rod - you want to get it set up for peak RELIABLE performance before you take it to the races!

@@CanadianComputerCollectorbro found his lost dad🙏😭
@@CanadianComputerCollector nahhh😂💀😭
This was a sweet video, it reminded me of when I was a little kid on the internet and figuring out how to use computers
1st time pc gamer here and I’m currently watching this video while waiting on my new pc 😎
What did you order?
@@CanadianComputerCollector well seeing as I don’t know much about computers but seen several videos on the skytechs I got the skytech Gaming Nebula Gaming PC Desktop - AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 3.7 GHz, NVIDIA RTX 4070, 1TB NVME SSD, 16GB DDR4 RAM 3200, 600W Gold PSU, 11AC Wi-Fi, Windows 11 Home 64-bit,Black
@@CanadianComputerCollector definitely will be watching this video again tomorrow when it’s delivered 🤣🤣
How did it go?
@@CanadianComputerCollectorIm Also waiting for my New pc, have made it myself, its gonna be a crazy pc, Im kinda new to pc aswell and i wanted to Ask, is this the best way to setup ur pc? Is thevideo realible and good and trustworthy, i mean it looks good so far but wanted to hear if its anything more u should do
amazing video bro thank you. very easy to follow along
Thanks! If you liked it, check out another vid like the one where we turned an iMac into a monitor!
Love the energy you bring makes the video entertaining
That's high praise
Great info!
I'm sure a lot of people got gaming PCs (or parts) for Christmas and hopefully this helps them on their first time setting up!
may be late to this video but i have all the parts to build my pc coming tomorrow and this video is perfect. look forward to future uploads
Thanks! We just moved into a new studio which took 6 months of hard work. Be prepared, we will be uploading more as the year goes on and we get settled in!
@@CanadianComputerCollector look forward to it
This is great info. Did you do any of this stuff for the PC we bought off you recently? 😅
We did all the updates, drivers, etc. but not any of the things that require you to log in with your own account (for example: Steam). By now I presume you've already installed your games so you should be good!
Thanks!
Anytime! Now live, damnit! LIVE!
Problem for me is that MSI Bios not feeling my wireless m+k. Any workarounds? I’ve tried every usb port for the dongle
Set up the PC with wired usb m/k, go to MSI website and download driver directly. You may need to pair them with the receiver before they can be used. then come back here and lmk if it works. Best of luck!
@@CanadianComputerCollector thanks for reply. Guess I’ll buy a cheap wired one or maybe can borrow from computer shop. Seems like a known MSI issue. I’m sure this will work with wired m+k. Great vid tho, I ran escape from Tarkov out of the box and thought brand-new PC was a potato until I started all of these steps.
Now if only we can get rid of Microsoft Edge forever
Sorry for this but I’ve always wanted to know do you turn your pc off everyday or just when you know you want me using it?
Mine runs constantly as it runs my Plex server
@@CanadianComputerCollector so it’s not bad for you to keep it on?
@@zakariusdumas1086 well, it isn't if you don't care at all about your electricity bills
When i get a new pc do i first boot it up without plugging usbs and stuff? Or is plugging usbs(bluetooth) etc fine before booting it up for the first time? Usbs as in mouse, mic, keyboard, external drives etc
It’s not going to fry the computer either way. But sometimes if you connect usbs first it’s not registered so you’ll have to plug and unplug again (idk about other people, that was just my experience)
@@ZephyrWrites so best to do it after?
@@Wolftopia_yeah it doesn’t really matter. but you do need a moues and keyboard to fiddle with bios and install windows so after it boots it wil automatically enter into bias and then you can plug all your peripherals
Keyboard & mouse should be plugged in asap. I'd wait for everything else until you've got all your drivers and stuff installed. Not for any particular reason other than you just want to let the PC power through the initial updates without any "distractions" let's say, but tbh, it really doesn't matter.
Great video bro 😂
Thanks bro
Sweet fancy Moses! Now that’s how you “up your game”! (…wait that didn’t sound right.)
You talking about the quality of this video, or the performance of people's gaming PCs after watching this video?
I'm scared of bios i don't understand anything in bios and i don't wanna mess up anything
If you ever mess anything up just restore defaults and you'll be fine!
how do you have 36 gb of ram if there is 4 sticks of 8gb????
In the biz we would call that an error
how do i get to bios
5:04
You're hilarious keep it up
Thank you!
you saved my ass
Happy to help! Which part did you find most helpful?
Bro like me so i can remember when i get my pc
I like everyone
dedotated wam
first thing you do is buy the parts, then wait for said parts to be delivered then build it.
Yes, then when you turn it on for the first time you watch this video!
@@CanadianComputerCollector don't skip steps dude.
@@viperdemonz-jenkins if this was a build video I'd agree with you, but this video is for the first time you turn on your new gaming PC, whether you built it yourself or got one that's already built :)
If you want to watch a build video, we've got one coming up where we built the attack helicopter PC you see in this video - stay tuned!
You dealt with that troll like a pro 👍
No way man…maybe the first thing you should do is get the job to buy those parts…maybe you should be born first. Dude already has a virus
Great channel.. i just bout my first gaming PC and am struggling man... if you can help me please help lol😂... i think ive paid too much
If you can't return it, might as well try to enjoy it! Try not to worry too much and just be happy you have a PC 😊
Nah you sus
👀
You go way to dam fast.
My gf has the same complaint -Stac
you're just way too slow
No he’s just trying to make a quick video since most people have a life and only so much time to spare. You can always pause and rewind. We live in 2024…
