You were talking about Grant Morrison’s philosophy of we are apart of the story and I love that idea. I believe if you read the Superman mini series in Final Crisis he tells that story in the most fascinating way with the anti monitor and his quest to get the pill that will save Lois’s life. It might be my all time favorite Superman mini series. You really need to read it a few times to capture the essence of it as it is deep and complicated but it is a really kind warp that is fully rewarding. And that’s the thing with Morrison, the deeper you dig into what he writing the more rewarding it becomes. You f you just read over it once you’ll have a slightly confusing but essentially enjoyable super hero story. But if you dive into the language, the details, the set, of you really spend the time to understand what each character is saying and what story is being told, you get one of the most fulfilling reads of any genre. It’s truly a work of art that we are lucky to have. Because there are hundreds of comics that don’t dice this deep, and a lot of them are great, but I’m just glad we have Morrison’s stories that offer something more.

Awesome. I am so happy this is finally coming out. I really wish Morrison had gotten around to Multiversity 2. I am so much more interested in whatever he wouldve done instead of what Dark Crisis ended up doing.

I recommend the miniseries Infinite Frontier and Justice League Incarnate. They bring the Justice Incarnate characters back in a big way, along with the Gentry and the Empty Hand, even revealing that the Empty Hand is apparently an extension of nothing less than the Great Darkness itself, which is a cool way to tie him in to the DCU at large.

@@femoman I do need to read those. I like Joshua Williamson and maybe if I had a more complete picture of what led up to Dark Crisis I'd be more invested in the story. Thanks for the recommendations.

He is Shazam and will almost always be Shazam from now on. Because DC CANNOT market Captain Marvel. They can call him Captain Marvel in a book technically like he was in the Fawcett verse in Multiversity, and theoretically even could in a movie. But they could not actually sell him as Captain Marvel and use it as the title of a movie or action figures theyd want to sell or the title of a comic book. So its much simpler to just call him Shazam. The Wizard is also called Shazam. Which makes enough sense because Shazam basically becomes the successor to the Wizard Shazam. So he is the NEW Shazam.
