I didn't see Spawn coming as I don't remember you mentioning it very much. I agree. Started collecting comics as a kid with McFarlanes Amazing Spider-Man and loved him right through his Spawn work. Capullo made a seamless transition which surprised me at the time as I didn't think anyone could replace Todd but his work was damn close if not as good. Met Capullo unexpectedly back just before his 1st Batman came out and he's a great guy. He even did a quick sketch for me after telling me he doesn't really like doing them. I am a little surprised you didn't have the Hush Absolute on your list though. I love your videos my friend. Keep em coming. P.S. - Doppelganger looks feeling awesome posted up behind you. Got me drooled worse then him. Can't wait.

Great review ...this is the best of the best......Dark Knight, Sandman, walking dead, my fav the Boys....Watchmen was crazy what Moore did with that story...and correct Moore wanted to use DC characters but DC was like hell no ...kingdom come was crazy...

Although i enjoy the show, i have to agree that the books are better. I have been thinking about getting into Preacher. Just picked up Gideon Falls today... so far so good.
Looked through old comments and see someone mentioned it before (very bottom), but wanted to repeat-- Alan Moore didn't exactly want to use "DC" heroes for Watchmen, He wanted to use The Charlton Comics characters that DC bought out in the 80's. Blue Beetle=Night Owl, Rorschach=The Question, Captain Atom=Doctor Manhattan, etc.

Some people on Reddit are saying these editions might not be great for constant reading (pages falling out/cracked spine). This might not be true. Anyone have any experience with these style of hardcovers? I want a couple but I tend to read and re read them a lot and maybe that’s too much wear and tear for these..
Check out watchmen the issue where Rorschach gets arrested that whole comic is mirrored meaning Reversed from beginning to end panel for panel... also love the way Moore had so many throw away things like the sugar cube’s etc

For someone who is on a limited budget any can’t just go out and buy every Spawn comic out there, what would you suggest as a great book for someone who’s never read Spawn before? That someone being me.
I just recently had the same query where I was thinking about how the absolutes sit on the shelf slipcase out ? Or slip case in? I have the skip case out and I’ve decided to keep the slipcase facing out cuz that’s the way it seems they want you to have it. That isn’t the only Alex Ross absolute that is like that! I have the one with him and Paul Dini that is the same. The OCD in me goes nuts lol Great vid as always!!!
Great list mate. Though I would say you are missing a few honorable mentions such as Absolute Batman Hush (Loeb + Lee), Absolute Justice (Kruger + Ross), Absolute Ronin (Frank Miller).
Hush (in my opinion, just starting conversation not attacking) is the most overrated Arks of all time. The 3rd act is a mess. It completely falls apart. It’s not Loebs best work. Long Halloween and Dark victory are much better
I can't deal with Absolute Dark Knight because it contains the sequel which was godawful. I was disappointed in the Watchmen Absolute. I didn't think the artwork looked sharp enough. Here's one I think should have made the list: Crisis On Infinite Earths because George Perez's artwork looks so much better in the larger format.

I like to have dinner parties and sit by my bookshelf right by the sandman’s wear a robe and smoke a tobacco pipe to entertain. 😆
Swamp Thing by Alan Moore is My favourite absolute it’s beautiful and I personally like the recolouring also the fact I was waiting for it forever and it was finally realized. I can’t wait for vol 2 and I highly recommend.

ive heard there are plans to continue releasing these...but nothing more than that or reprints
Absolute Planetary is one of the few books in this format I own and I personally think is awesome.
