- The legendary pairing may not have had the most success on Cats Does Countdown, but Sean Lock and Miles Jupp have certainly put in some memorable appearances, even proving too much for Jimmy Carr at some points.

"I dunno about you, Miles, but I'm on the fence" is probably one of the funniest things I've ever heard in my life
Even just the set up of "He was whispering to me about Hitler" is a hundred times funnier than it should be
Also when Sean said Jimmy didn’t have Hitlers warmth.

I miss Sean! I really genuinely miss him. I’m just a dude watching him on telly. But it’s a real, crying shame he’s no longer here.

While not in "duo" mode, the infamous "I won't spit on you when we're making love tonight" comment by Sean, followed by Miles' "good luck getting it in without the spit" bit is by far the GOAT.

As much as Carrot in a box or Joe's poem make me laugh the hardest, my favourite moment of this show is Sean cracking up when Miles brings out his portrait. Absolutely lovely.

Carrot in a box was the best thing ever! The fact that he won it twice, and then sadly passed away, leaving him the undisputed champion over Jon, makes it even more hilarious.

It's a joy to see how much they enjoy each other. Miles would have been heartbroken to lose his mate. It's a true gift if you find someone who makes you weak with laughter.

Yeah , i forget that Miles was probably really cut up about losing Sean , if you have a mate you look forward to seeing because you know you are going to laugh all night , then it's like a light disappears out your life.
Death is truly the hardest part of life, it just feels so frustratingly sad that you never see them ever again.
I don't think Miles has been back on since , although I could be wrong , I dont remember him being on because you automatically think of him being on Sean's team.

Encountered Miles in a comedy club once. He clicked his heels together like old fashioned gentlemen, what a guy! He’s also got a hilariously self-aware show opening line (not sure if he uses it all the time though) - he walks up to the mic, and says “Thank you, thank you, I’m very privileged” 😂

I don't know for sure but I would assume there's some rule that it can't be a proper noun (i.e. a name, place, etc.), so e.g. "Sean" wouldn't be allowed but "cave" would be.

I admit that some of these past episodes are iconic in their own way. The warmth, humour and just sheer silliness is so redeeming.
8:55 Sean cracking up at his own discomfort during the whelk bit was my favorite part. He's genuinely in pain, but the comedy of his pain takes precedence in his physiological response. Laughing hurts him, but the fact that laughing hurts him is even funnier than the whelks hurting him, which makes him laugh even harder.
RIP Sean, you magnificent bastard.

Of all the panel shows, this happenstance mashup really turned out the best, by far. The format is just so good.
Miles and Sean's relationship is like a guy who married into a posh family and became BFFs with her weird brother.
They missed the clip with Claude (the stuffed animal).
This was a compilation where Miles and Sean were on the same team, in the Claude episode (as hilarious as it was), Miles was on the opposite team.
Good luck trying it without that clip!

This was Cats Does Countdown at its finest. It’s not the same without Sean and it never will be. Miles Jupp is a fantastic comedian - I wish this show would bring back guys like him.
For several decades, British panel shows have excelled. We're so lucky to have them.
And, like so many others, I do miss Sean Lock.
