This show and QI were many times more funny to watch when Sean was present. I had been waiting for new episodes of 8 out of 10 cats does Countdown for such a long time and wondering why there weren't any new episodes. Is the show cancelled for good or will the bring it back in the future?

I 've been watching clips of this show for the past couple of weeks. Then when I scroll through the comments, I invariably find people saying how much they miss Sean Lock. I do too. I can't think of many if any celebrities whose death has bummed me out so much. Well, Norm McDonald as well. RIP Sean.

I watched it because one of my teachers was on it and it was dreadful:
Ann has no personality whatsoever, she just spoke to them with a monotone, dry voice
After each letter was put up, Rachel did a weird terrified staredown at the camera.
There is just no personality whatsoever. Whereas Jimmy is a great host. He bounces off the contestants, allows them to make fun of him and everyone does seem to enjoy themselves. It's as Rachel said, Countdown now seems to be a spin-off (and inferior version) of 8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown
Sean hadn't been a permanent on the show since 2016
@@gtomo3808 you're thinking of regular 8 out of 10 cats. Sean was permanent on the countdown spinoff right up to his death (or at least very close)
In AU, we don't seem to get the actual Countdown. One of our public broadcasters - SBS - has just launched "Celebrity Letters and Numbers", which (from the trailer) is a rehash of the original Countdown, but the advertised guest list is nobody I've ever seen, so I haven't bothered. If I do end up being bothered (*tee hee*) I'll report back.
@@philthy903 yeah it's called letters and numbers here because of Countdown the music show from the 70s/80s. There's been non celebrity letters and numbers in SBS for years.

One of my very favorite Joe moments from this show is when he comes out advertising for a banister company or something like that, and “his half brother Fabio” brings out the ad banner, and Joe yells, “I said don’t have an erection!”

Although Sean Locke got me through a very tough 2 years on shows like this, I'm still very happy this show is still on. Not only is it brilliant, but it makes me think of Sean.
I still like Jason trying to keep Sean from stepping on his joke. It's almost as good as when Greg Davies swore at Sean for the same thing.
