I have all of these in my collection except flash by johns and have yet to read any of them because ive been so busy with getting though my marvel omnis and batman one off hardcovers. Cant wait to read Synders Batman and new 52 JL.
johns flash omnibus are good. Vol 1 starts off slow but gets better, vol 2 just starts off running good and ends amazingly. Vol3 is more of collection of johns flash stories; flashpoint/blackestnight flash, final crisis rogues etc. New 52 JL..oh man!!! enjoy it!!
If you want to read revamped origins of DC Superheroes than are some: 1. Man of Steel by John Byrne 2. Batman Year One by Frank Miller and David Mazzucchelli 3. The Legend of Aquaman by Keith Griffith, Robert Loren Fleming, and Curt Swan
@@MandoAllDay The Man of Steel book is a 6 issue mini series that reboots Superman after the Crisis on Infinite Earths event and then John Byrne wrote & drew Superman, Action Comics, & Adventures of Superman all at once.
@@MisterFantastic1961 ohh, gotcha. then i'm thinking of a different superman book. i have to ask him what he was referring to. thanks for the info/list. are they on the DC app?
The Scott Snyder Batmans are my personal favorite, I tell everyone to pick them up before they go out of print. Also the New 52 Aquaman is on everyone's list. I have it but have never got around reading it. Lol I have so many to read it's hard to find the time.
that's a good idea to tell others to pick them up before they go OOP. haha, that aquaman omni is short but sweet. You will enjoy it! It caught me off guard and now, my view of aquaman is different. I am with you!! I have so many to read, so many i need to do overviews on hahah
If you want to read a good start to DC Comics then you need to read Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo's Batman which I own it as 10 Volumes (7 TPBs and 3 Hardcovers)!
thanks for the comment and recommendation. I have that omni but have not read it. I hear it's really good for new readers....since you suggested it; i'm assuming it's true
@@MandoAllDay Well, that's one opinion, and I realise may be in the minority, BUT, not new reader friendly and just terrible. Of all the Grant Morrison I've read, the worst. IMHO. Get the JSA omni's, way better.

Reading Gotham Central omni at the moment, I'd say that's really good for noobies. You don't really need to know anything about Batman as it's mainy focused around the GCPD detectives trying to keep up with the out of control crime-ridden city.
that' is a good choice for new DC readers. I was thinking about that omni but i figured, when people think of DC, they usually think of the heroes; if that makes any sense ahaha. But yes, that omni is really good. I forgot his name but that corrupt cop.....what happens at the end...wtf!!!!

The Death and Return of Superman is essential.
i just got that omni.
i will have to read.
I agree with about Geoff Johns' Aquaman which I own as 4 Volumes (4 TPBS).
that omni is so good. sad we only have one aquaman omni

Ethan Van Schiver played an enormous part in creating those ideas and designs for Green Lantern

I literally would have chosen the exact same books. Well done sir
thank you.
as they say...great minds think a like :)
Superman by Tomasi is my absolute favorite. I’d replace Wonder Woman by Azarello with Wonder Woman by Gail Simone Omni . Much better! Great list!
That superman omni is solid!!! i didn't expect to like that as much as I did. it's a good omni. we need more superman omni's!
Great video! Thanks for some of these
