Hey just stumbled upon your channel while looking for 'The Planetary Omnibus' reviews. Straightaway subbed you. Can't let a good channel just fly by 😊 I do have a question, the website you mentioned, does it only ship within USA or worldwide too?
Wow! Welcome, thanks for stopping by! (Planetary is incredible!) I do believe they have some international but I’m unclear exactly what their policy/shipping is for international. Definitely recommend pursuing their site :)
@@warduke8192 of course! There’s some spoilers but I did review that collection on my channel a few months back if you want a closer look at the book 👍
Good list, I would switch Hickman's FF for Waid and weringo's (probably didn't write that right). I think it should be easier to get into and in one volume. Only issue is that it's out of print.
These days it’s a toss up of the Miles Morales Omnibus and the Venom Cates Omni. I may have to update my original list soon. We’ve gotten so many great new releases and reprints lately!
The New Warriors Classic Omnibus Vol. 1 is a good book for new readers too. You don't have to have prior knowledge of any of the characters, it's a good 90's story with some cameos of other heroes like Spider-Man, X-force or Punisher.
Wanted to ask you a question..I had read both Crisis On infinite Earth and Infinite Crisis. But didn't getting the courage to read Final Crisis. What should I do? Should I go for it? You know it's Morrison 😅😅
That’s totally up to you. Final crisis can be a bit confusing but it’s an important read in the DC universe and personally I really enjoyed it :) but I am a Morrison fan
Good vid and I think these are solid picks, but I would also throw in Amazing Spider-Man Vol 1...I get it's "dated" and so many modern readers complain about wordiness...but I first read this in Essentials when I was 13-14 in the late 90s and I thought they were exciting and entertaining stories and actually thought they were better than Ultimate Spider-Man, probably because each issue felt like a full story.
Great video again. Have read 3 of these and would wholeheartedly agree on all of those. X-Men is an absolute no brainer, almost marking the moment when Marvel “grew up”. Have the other 7 on the TBR pile and looking forward to all of them particularly Cap and MMSM1.
I've actually bought the complete X-Factor investigative books a few weeks ago and it's got detective noir vibes. Highly recommend that. Funny, tense and entertaining!
Another amazing video Dom. Solid picks man. Cap by Brubaker is a MASTERPIECE. I wanna go back and give Claremont’s a full read through but mannn there’s too many x titles haha. I’m debating on getting that one though. This got me excited about Omni’s all over again haha.
Hahah thanks man! It’s such a great Omni but I’ve really loved watching that Claremont run just get stronger and stronger 👏❌ And yeah cap by Brubaker is just amazing 📚📚📚📚📚 Thanks for watching!!
A list for seasoned readers that’s a fun one. I’m not sure I’m even a good judge of what would be in that list but I could try to take a stab at it sometime 🤔😂👏 Thanks for the recommendation
Agree on your "X-men" pick. I think that *is* the absolute best point to start for any X-men fan. Even though it isn't the original team, it's my (and many others') favorite version of the team. Good "DD" pick too. Frank Miller was in his prime during that run. I would add Simonson's "Thor" and Michelinie's "Iron Man" to this list as well. For "FF", I actually feel Byrne's run is even better, though certainly Hickman's run is good as well. David's run on "X-factor" was indeed great, and often overlooked. Glad to see this one on your list!
My favorite omnibus that i have read was the Captain Britain omnibus which is a good starting point for the character as well as showing his pre-Excalibur era as to how he got his original costume, the amazing villian roster gallery and many stuff that are so well written.
Ultimate spiderman vol 1 lis a solid pick for new readers
Oh without a doubt 👏🕷️💯

Any concerns about missing the preceding ~70 issues with the X-Factor by Peter David book?
I felt like they caught you up on what was pertinent. I was able to jump right in :) 📚
@@TheComicBookReport thank you

It's a completely different team. Issue 71 might as well have been a number 1 and it definitely would be if it was coming out now.
@@nivekleveb8872 well said 👏
I really loved the giant size x men omnibus one of my favorite marvel omnibuses in my opinion
Without a doubt! Such a great one 👏
Totally agree! 💯

Yeah I’m enjoyed what I’ve read of that Waid run, would love that Omni to come back into print though 👏
@@TheComicBookReport It would be nice.
I don't know what I'd take off your list, so I'll just add Thor by Simonson and Runaways.
Great choices 💯💯💯

Nice!!! Still haven’t read that Cates run other than King in Black :)

@@TheComicBookReport I'll just throw another one: Spider-Man 2099 Omnibus vol. 1 by Peter David. It just came out. 😉
@@CarlosDias-er6dd I’m reading that one right now, it’s incredible 👏👏👏
