Great video thank you. Got all of these on the to read pile (except Yellow which I have to find and Battlin’ Jack) and have recently started at the very beginning with Vol 1. I grew up with and loved these early issues at the time but god are they chewy to get thru now. So much text and exposition, ridiculous villains and ever changing powers! Watching Gene Colan’s art develop is great but overall this is a bit of a penance before getting into the really good stuff. Looking forward to Brubaker and Bendis and, soon, the Zdarsky run.
I’m a long time DD fan and after watching this I’m picking up the Jack Murdock book! It’s a book that I heard about but never read. I’m looking forward to digging into it. Thanks for the recommendation.

Can you make this for Spider-Man, Superman and Batman but with a focus of it being a little more under the radar? I’m on the look for more stories but it’s a little annoying when I only hear about the (rightfully so recommended) All Star Superman and Ultimate Spider-Man. I read those, I read secret identity, I read JMS, I need more.

Only reason I rarely bring it up as a starting place is because I feel Brubaker’s run perfectly follows the Brian Michael Bendis run that came before it! I love most of the heroes you’ve listed I don’t often read Ghost Rider or Blade and I’ve yet to delve into She-Hulk stuff though I’d like to. These other characters should all have some video or another on my channel even if I’ve yet to do a best of. DD the guys has not had any bad writers, for me one of the best if not the best written runs for a superhero. Cant go wrong with any book.
He’s certainly been, for my money, the most consistently well-written comic book superhero title at least for the last 20 years or so

Totally understandable some of the early stuff is worth it for me for Colan art alone but older comics can be a bit of a chore soemtimes, depending 😂
Still really wanna check out that Daredevil Yellow! The art is insanely good!
