    Why do other people make this sound so complicated? "Write for people" makes sense!

      They want you to think they have some secret so that you watch their youtube channel and they get paid for the ads. It's not complicated but if people told you that they wouldn't be able to sell you keyword tools and make you think they're the only ones with the answers!

    Hi, I have a couple of questions. I know it's been said in the past that you really want to use detailed long tail keywords, however sometimes if it's too long the full long tail keyword won't show up entirely under your listing when you are just scrolling through the search pages. And usually what the item actually is, that would be the last word of the long trail keyword so that wouldn't even show up under the listing photo as you are scrolling through search pages. So in order to see under the listing photo, is it better to put a less descriptive keyword phrase first and then put the longer more detailed keyword phrases after that? Example- Would Gold bee necklace be better to put first or should you put 14k gold filled honey bee pendant necklace first?? Also, I am trying to optimize my listings so is it better to copy the listing and change things on this new one, (I would deactivate the old one) or is it better to edit the current listing that you are trying to optimize? This would be for a listing that's been up for a while and hasn't gotten many views or orders. And same question again.... if I'm trying to optimize a listing, but this listing has just an okay number of sales, views and orders. Would I edit it or copy it and redo the whole thing and deactivate the one that's not doing well? Thanks!

      You don't have to have the full long tail show up under the photo, you could put it anywhere in the title. Also, long tail keywords contain short tail keywords, so if you put that at the front it will be fine. I would probably do gold bee necklace first just to keep it simple for customers. If a listing has sales and views then you should try to keep that one active You can make a copy of it if you want to, but the copy doesn't carry over the listing quality score, so you don't want to get rid of that if it has activity.

    Is it possible to raise a listings quality score that doesn’t sell very often and has been in my shop for 2-3 years? Or is it best to make a new listing and try again? I have a feeling that even if I work on the listing it will still be stagnate.

    • @KaraBuntinTutorials
      @KaraBuntinTutorials  Месяц назад

      I would probably make a copy and relist it with a clean slate. That way it won't have the history of not selling very often attached to it.

    Hi Kara, I sell personalised products in my Etsy shop. I had been starting all my listings with the word 'Personalised'. Eg. Personalised birth flower cushion or Personalised best friend mug. I was told that I shouldn't use the word Personalised first. The title should start off with a noun stating what the item is Eg. Cushion, birth flower personalised pillow or Mug, best friend personalised gift mug etc. What are your thoughts on this? Thank you.

    • @KaraBuntinTutorials
      @KaraBuntinTutorials  3 месяца назад +2

      That's dumb, you can start it however you want, and if you're writing for the customer then that's good. There's no rule about having to start the title with a noun, that sound like something someone is making up to sound like they have some kind of secret about it.

    What about alternative spelling of a product - for example, I sell bandanas but some people search for “bandannas”. Do I need to use both in my titles?

    • @KaraBuntinTutorials
      @KaraBuntinTutorials  5 месяцев назад

      I would put it in the tags just to cover it. You don't need to put it in the title.

    I use Marmalead for Etsy, but what do you recommend to use for keywords on our website? Or can we use marmalead for that too?

    • @KaraBuntinTutorials
      @KaraBuntinTutorials  5 месяцев назад +1

      You can pretty much use the same keywords on a website that you do on Etsy, since both are selling things. Marmalead works fine for the ecommerce part of the website. If you have a blog you would need google keyword tools, but google ads manager has enough info that it works fine for the basics.

    So I was the person who suggested this topic because I am so thickheaded about it. I think that using marmalead for best keyword phrases put in my head that each good keyword phrase must be an island unto itself with a comma or dash, whatever separation you use after it and then another one and another one. What you are saying is to use that phrase, preferably in an order that makes sense as opposed to Yoda speak, but it is okay to use it as part of a sentence, not just the phrase itself. Is that it?
    In order to use all of the real estate of the title space, though, what else is there to say besides that sentence that describes the product? Gift for Valentine's Day for Wife? My customers only use product keywords so what else is there to write?

      There are many other things....Sparkly dangle earrings, minimalist earrings, silver and red earrings authentic gemstone earrings, simple everyday wire earrings, etc. I'm not saying all of these apply to that one title but these are just examples. Just my two cents.

    What if your titles and keywords are super competitive? Should you still use them! I’ve heard no because you’ll never be seen.

    • @KaraBuntinTutorials
      @KaraBuntinTutorials  Месяц назад +1

      You should say what the thing is, even if it’s competitive, then also add more niche keywords that are accurate to get more views
