I like having sales tax taken care of by GI. Also, I think the charity focus is attractive to sellers and buyers. Keeping all of the non-handmade stuff out and really artist focused is such a rare thing these days. I mean why did we train AI to take over art of all things?
It's valuable to have an advocate out there for makers. Especially small shops.

Hi, I just signed up with GI first let me thank you for your thoughts.
I stumbled on this video accidentally. I sell on Etsy, Amazon Handmade and have my own website. I am a company of 1 with occasional help from my grandkids. Everything I make myself and as such offer limited quantities. I am optimistic with GI and for the minimal fee I am willing to take a chance. We shall see.
I am also interested in learning about Small Shop Discovery which you mention here, I like what you're saying in this video. Although GI does focus on it's charity support I try to live a Karmic life (this was the hook) what reeled me in was its goal to keeping out non handmade and POD items and it is strictly for USA makers and artists.

Hi, I see you made this post a while ago. How has GI gone for you?

@@cm1756 Hi, well better late than never. I actually made a sale on GI which I was thrilled but in all honesty being a sole maker I'm finding it hard to maintain, work and promote the GI site, Etsy and Amazon. I'm trying to find a strategy to do all 3 channels and I can't even think about my own website. I am still learning, still hopeful.

I am migrating to goimagine and their Mosaic website service. I think it can be pretty powerful space if more of us sellers will join and drive more traffic in. ETSY!!!! I am sick and tired of having to compete with cheap stuff from China on Etsy and then having my business suspended when Asian sellers steal my original pictures and make knock offs. Support on Etsy is horrible - I have waited 6 weeks to get generic copy pasted reply that did not solve anything - they basically told me to go and chase other platforms to take down my original stollen pictures. Handmade on Etsy is dying fast.

Im wondering how Go Imagine is going to deal with someone using a Disney branded Embroidery machine to make items for sale rather than personal. That usually triggers a Disney law suit. And I want to know ALL of the charities Go Imagine donated to. Are there immigrant unaccompanied children encouraging charities involved? Do sellers get a tax deduction for these contributions, or does the company get that? Split that?

It would’ve been great if the video was actually about Goimagine vs Etsy instead of Goimagine vs Small Shop Discovery. Change the title.

Took a look, this is a nice niche crafter's advertising platform. This could drive business to ANY handmade seller's site. Very cool!
