Just wanted to come back and say its been 2 months since I watched this video and decided to do handmade. I shut down my ETSY, completely. My amazon handmade outsells it 10x and sells at a higher margin. I won't waste my time on etsy again unless my amazon traffic slows down to a pace I feel I can handle.
Love this! I currently have my Etsy shop on vacation mode! Would love to know what your shop is on Amazon!
Etsy it sucks! They suspended my 5stars shop, keep $800 on hold, didn’t get any notification or explanation, 5 years work just gone in one day. Going to Amazon handmade now…

Honestly one of the best thorough reviews. I just started my etsy store and I've seen its taking off pretty fast so looking into Amazon handmade as well. I got approved today so wish me luck😅

I've not had great success on Etsy. I prefer to sell what I make and not do custom, so been looking at different platforms. This was a good explanation.

How much home made product should you have on hand, before listing it on Amazon? I work on each piece alone..
This is totally up to you. Not sure what your product is but if you are making them available with Prime you will need more to ship into Amazon.

I want there to be a class action lawsuit against etsy so a new platform can take the reigns.
Etsy suspended my account for no reason just after getting my first sale ever after spending endless hours in fixing all SEOs. Disappointed
That is such a bummer. I know there have been tons of shops suspended with little response as to why. Even larger shops with lots of sales over multiple years. Etsy has some work to do to regain my trust.
@@PlanwithStormy i'm one of them!!! 4 years of grow and effort wiped away without even knowing what i did wrong ...no one to talk to ...only an appeal to file ....never again! and my shop was doing better every month ... very very very disappointed !

You would have to sell them in a book. Unfortunately Amazon doesn’t allow digital files to be sold on the platform.
Can you also sell non-handmade items on that same account?
Yes you can! As long as you have one Handmade listing active the professional account fee is waived!
Does Amazon Handmade also accept print-on-demand, I mean, I design it myself, via POD it is printed and sent to customers.
Currently no. They did say in a recent webinar they are working on digital items for handmade. Not sure what that would entail.
