    Thank you, Doug! Goimagine is the world's first online handmade marketplace which donates 100% profits to charity. Handmade only. No vintage, no buy sell. They are now and always will be handmade only. I've been with them for more than a year and they truly are the best to work with; responsive, ethical, they follow up on their promises, they actually ask our opinions when making changes to the site. Jeepers. What other online marketplace does that!? No contracts, just a monthly fee (highest plan is only $10/month +3.5% transaction fee for 1,000 listings). One of the things I really like is that I can create my own custom categories, and I can put a single item in as many of my custom categories as I want. Doug isn't pulling your leg - Goimagine rocks!

      That's awesome. I've been touched to recently learn of them. What's been your experience the past 11 months? Have you seen traffic increase? And are the costs and fees still that low?

      @@flowersafeheart Greetings. Thank you for your reply! My experience with goimagine continues to be the best I've ever had with any marketplace. The costs and fees are still the same, for now. Last year they began including, in the top two plans, a free standalone private website. They call it Mosaic. I would be happy to share with you links to my shop as it appears on the marketplace, as well as what my Mosaic site looks like. The Mosaic site requires very little work since all of the products are fed from one seller dashboard. With Mosaic we can have scrolling (linkable) banners as well as promo banners. You are welcome to join goimagine's Facebook group. It's not just for sellers, it is for anybody interested in the marketplace. It is for questions and answers, solving problems when setting up shop, announcements, etc. The founders are there to help, along with others of us who have fun helping. It truly is a caring economy. They stand behind their makers/sellers 100%. They truly believe that the marketplace is driven by us, the makers. Here is the link to their FB page: facebook.com/groups/goimaginewithus. And yes, they continue to grow. There are more than 7,000 people in their FB group, and about 3200 shops and growing daily. I just celebrated my 2-year Anniversary with them on April 2. I look forward to watching them grow. Thank you, again. ♥♥ Forgot to say - they are working on a new seller dashboard that will be out later this year. FYI

    The real question is, are there any buyers on the marketplace? Have you been making consistent sales since you started on Goimagine?

    • @DougMellors

      I still feel that this website is doing something cool with the profits but I left Etsy because of the social equity program that eliminated almost all of my sales and now this site is doing the same thing. I have to find a site that is going to allow me to sell and not cut me off because I don’t meet their required demographics.

    Love the video. One question though, in my research it is saying it’s a marketplace like Etsy but in a comment you said we have to drive our own traffic? So will there be no organic traffic outside of buyers we send?

      I have not gotten any thing that I did not send to the site so far.

    Thank you for this video!!! Been looking for an Etsy alternative and this seems a great option. Do you see a lot of movement and sales? Or is this something that will eventually start picking up, since it does look relatively new.

    • @DougMellors
      @DougMellors  3 года назад +2

      You have to drive your own sales it is not like Etsy in that way.

  • @chanabayla1823

    I personally don't need this. U have to drive your own traffic where etsy does that for u and I already donate a portion of every sale to charity even letting the customer pick the charity and not be forced to only support a charity of their choice. Would rather pay more even if don't get many sales

      That is one way to look at it. I have to make a new video about this issues I have moved to a different platform and and having better luck.

    In 2024, Fees have been increased to (I believe) 5%. So, that is an increased cost to Sellers ( a significant change). Just a reminder that Etsy was a great place for handmade in the beginning, too ........ And while I think that giving to charity is admirable, not keeping ANY PROFIT for the business means future growth could be limited, if achievable at all. Just sayin'.
