- Since I now own both a 1996 Dodge Viper GTS Coupe and a 2012 Ferrari 458 Italia, I thought it would be a good idea to do a comparison video of the two supercars.

Great comparison, John. Yes, Ferrari is a supercar with the phenomenal engine sound and it's fantastic on a circuit. But if I would pick one it will be definitely Viper GTS. Nice video👍

Love the videos! I happen to have almost exactly the same cars as you - 97 B/W Viper GTS and 2012 458 Rosso Corsa. Love them both. One is a brute and one is a ballet dancer. Funny how car guys will gravitate towards the same cars.
Oh that's too funny! It's wild how many Viper owners I know who have been adding Ferraris to their garages lately.
How does insurance cost compare? Hagerty quoted me $4700 for a gen 5. Ridiculous.
So there are a lot of factors that go into insurance quotes: age, driving record, type a vehicle and value, just to name a few. I have Hagerty for my Viper and Ferrari. My Viper is roughly $1,600 a year and my Ferrari is roughly $3,800 a year.
It's really not a fair comparing a 200k with a 80k car. The Viper will still beat the Ferrari at the tract.
Like I said in the video, it's not a comparison I thought needed to be done, but people kept asking since I own both. And I'm sorry, but the Viper will not come close to the Ferrari at the track.

No, this video doesn't represent all Vipers, just like it doesn't represent all Ferraris. It's specific to the ones I own.

Did you actually watch the video or read my comments? I've clearly said it wasn't an apples to apples comparison and the only reason I compared the 2 is because people asked me to.
