My dad worked at the local dealership and we ended up storing a bright yellow 1994 Viper RT/10 in our garage for 3 months while the dealership went through renovations. He said, "Don't touch it" Everyday, I'd come home from school and look at this car or sit in it pretending to drive, shifting the gears. Dad had brought home so many different cars but this one was special. Not even 10 years later, my Dad and I went to Michigan to pick up my very own 1999 Viper RT/10. I've tried to daily it as much as possible for the last 15 years to let people see it, let kids sit in it, take people for rides or even just go get groceries and show its completely practical. Dan, the GTS you have is special and these continue to be under-rated and under-valued. Maybe you should keep it before Josh puts it in a ditch! 😂
I was 16 when the GTS came out, and I remember sitting behind one on Shea Boulevard in Scottsdale in a trance… staring at the lit up viper logo on the rear hatch
I had a 96 Coupe. The pedals are adjustable. I put a short shifter kit on it. I think it was B&M, and the throws were really short and very precise. Great car
I hope Y'all can get Your price. I owned 2 Viper GTS's a 2002 Red and 1997 Blue and White.... 20 years ago they were the King... In 2024 a F8 coupe is what I desire. Ferrari's are special...
As i live in the uk🇬🇧 the viper never really hooked me but, man just looking at the quantity and quality of the photos you take of each car for sale (or sold) I can see how people would buy blind off your dealership👍
I had a 1996 Blue with white strip. Hated driving it but loved to look at it. It smelled like a boat inside, had no anti lock brakes. It shifted like I imagine a tractor would and the heat that came from the engine cooked my mid section. After all that I would still love to have another in my collection one day. HA!
If i had your spaxe would def buy that. Def one of the classics that will always look great and they are priced very well. Ive driven a couple and they are nit bad. Ive been searchinf for a 13 plus gts.
This video shows best why these are so misunderstood and underrated. He expected truck handling...these cars dominated all the European cars from its inception on. So misunderstood but good to see more people starting to see why they are so special.
I remember seeing a gen 1 Viper in my underground parking lot in Boston in 2002. Flashy red. No roof. Just sitting there in all its glory. I was in love. I probably lusted after it more than the Mclaren F1 that sat in the parking lot at my office. Go figure. Do not look to me for investment advice.
I sold my GTS in 2020 and regret it immensely. I own a supra now, which from a wow factor is similar amongst people who see you, but driving experience in a viper is like nothing else. I will say, finding a clean one is super easy because every viper owner thinks it’s the next million dollar car, and no one drives them 😂😂
Dan, I just sold a 2002 dodge viper GTS Fitzgerald sold 530 for a steal deal. There’s still a 2009 Ferrari that they took him for a trade for me and now they’re trying to buy Bid if you’re interested I can get you connected.
I had the option to buy a rare 96 Blue with WS about 6 years ago for 60k. Almost bit but the drive was just not for me. Lets just say it was just too many compromise with very few positives. Bought a 996 Turbo instead.
At this rate Dan is going to break the first rule of dealing, don’t get high on your own supply. Next: Meg roasts a viper Next next: Dan trades his GT40 into his own dealership for a viper.
Yeah these dealerships are so overpriced, but if you have the cash 💰 it’s a great time to explore ownership. I’m more into Lambos, but all sports cars are super cool. By the way congratulations with your purchase. That cars a beast and AC this 😂😂😂😂

LOL Josh did pretty good with it. :)
I bought a pre-owned 1996 in 1999. I was 19 at the time 😅
They’re so fun, but they feel sooo heavy.
2005 Ford GT, C6 ZR1 Corvette, and 1996 Dodge Viper GTS. My personal holy trinity.
Yup
I had one, it was a great car. It’s a very underrated car that’s not as overwhelming as people think it is.
Yup
I was 16 when the GTS came out, and I remember sitting behind one on Shea Boulevard in Scottsdale in a trance… staring at the lit up viper logo on the rear hatch
Haha yup
Something about the windshield to hood transition that reminds me of a ship that has broken in half.
Lol
Yes It’s a proper car isn’t it 👍
The 2ND Generation Viper is My Favorite of All The Vipers
Agreed
Car is surprisingly easy to drive. I also like that the engine is pretty reliable. Mine has 55k miles and it just runs hard
Yeah, they are pretty solid cars.
Absolutely awesome car! The color is phenominal. It looks like Josh has already repaired the Mercedes.
Yup
always loved the GTS
Heck yeah
Sweet, love gts Vipers
Right on!
This was my childhood dream car too. Finally got my 96 GTS in 2020!
Congrats!
These cars are definitely great with modern tire tech, Love to push my 98gts on a track a couple times a year
Yeah it sticks decently
I had a 96 Coupe. The pedals are adjustable. I put a short shifter kit on it. I think it was B&M, and the throws were really short and very precise. Great car
Yeah it needs a short throw bad
She’s a beauty and the V10 sounds like heaven from memory having first hand experience of hearing the same lump in a Dodge Ram truck?
Yeah the viper trucks are pretty cool
I love black cars and trucks, I’ve had black corvettes and black ram trucks but that blue color is beautiful! Best viper color I’d say
Yeah it's definitely THE color combo for Vipers.
I hope Y'all can get Your price. I owned 2 Viper GTS's a 2002 Red and 1997 Blue and White.... 20 years ago they were the King...
In 2024 a F8 coupe is what I desire.
Ferrari's are special...
Agreed
Once you get some new tires on there, it will handle even better. They're super fun cars, drive and track surprisingly well for their age
Yup!
Beautiful clean Viper 🇺🇸👌🏻
Thanks 👍
A motorhome gets better mileage! Still, this was the dream car on the bedroom wall. Iconic color and spec.
Haha yes
The Vipers more about "Gallons per mile, not miles per gallon" 😂
As i live in the uk🇬🇧 the viper never really hooked me but, man just looking at the quantity and quality of the photos you take of each car for sale (or sold)
I can see how people would buy blind off your dealership👍
Thank you!
My absolute favorite Viper as well!
Right on!
My favorite youtuber now.
Thank you
And dont forget that these cars won at Lemans and World Sportscar pummeling Porsche, Ferrari and Co. Such rare and legendary cars.
Yup
What a Nice Looking example 👍
Indeed!

Oh yeah!

Yup
Would love to test drive this viper.
Indeed
Best video on youtube.
Thanks!
IPSCO short shifter, steering rack bushings, trans mount, suspension bushings and new tires will transform the car even more.
Ah nice

LOL
Very sharp and performance looked and sounded great.
Ok...ok...ok....I begrudgingly like a dodge.
Can't believe I just said that.
Great video.
LOL I feel the same way
Really nice
Thanks a lot
I’m not sure what impresses me more, the Viper or Josh’s watch. 🤔
Ha

That's true
Rear of car very light can jump out on you. Great car enjoy yourself.
Yes it does!
I bet every Ferrari owner wishes their “not that old” dash and buttons would hold up like that almost 30 year old Vipers did 😂
Eh not really. I'll take some maintenance over plastic
Ohh yeahh😊
Hell yeah
The legend is true, its a luxury porsche killer. :D
I suppose so
That is rediculous clean for a 1997-1998. The pedal box requires racing shoes or to use your socks, then it will make sense for heel toe
It's not a cramped pedal box like some of the older Ferraris, the pedals are skewed left which is really strange.
A sh1t ton of torque is a valid US measurement.
Lol yes
That is in collector spec.
Yup

Not a bad second choice at all.

MERCEDES LOOKS DONE 🤍🤍🤍🤍✨
Yup

Yeah
All the torque...................... there is no replacement for displacement
Yeah this is all the displacement
Great car, keyword - "Plastic"
Unfortunately
Those cars scare me. I know you’re a great driver
They are fun! Exciting. I suppose a little scary too
Squanch!!!!!
Haha
First time I heard a guy compain his knob was too big
Lol
Porsche as the GT4 fantastic car. Get on the Porsche train. I would never buy a Viper
Hmmm
PASS
Haha not a fan
@@normalguysupercar nah however I love the comment about rather having that then a Corvette 100%. Agree
