I think exactly the same. I listened to this back in the day and was taken aback how good it was. All those lists about best drum intro in a song, they should include this for sure. There aren't that many drum intros that are memorable or good throughout rock.

I had the privilege to be there that night at the Corona Theater in Montreal and mannn that was a hell of a concert . What a great idea to reunite all the original members. Chris you are an absolute beast !!!!!!

Last time I seen you Chris, was in the Raider parking lot like 2 to 4 yrs after you left MH and were playing in a cover band,or just doing covers in a band at a game and if I remember right,was on the back of a diesel like trailer bed. We all said, fuck..we miss Kontos..I wasn't thrilled with Dave's stuff on The More Things Change, but he got better IMO drum line writing wise. You are still the best MH drummer. Wish you could stay on board. I was born in Oakland. Lived in Rodeo, Pinole, Emeryville,streets of Berkeley, Oakland,etc. My old band in HS played a show in a band studio in Oakland while you guys were recording this. One of the guys there in another band "Deceived " was in the Davidson video. Remember the Ruthless Inn??? Lol My band was scheduled for like 2 months to play there and it shut its doors the NIGHT BEFORE. was to be our first REAL booked show at a club. Anyways, did you guys used to practice and have a studio at I think it was called Paradigm Studios in Oakland? That's where that studio gig we played with Deceived was and I swear someone said you guys were possibly playing to but canceled cuz you were behind on finishing Burn My Eyes. We had no idea who you were til the record dropped and I remember saying,"THATS WHO WAS SUPPOSED TO PLAY TOO??!! THEYD OF CRUSHED US!" lol My band was supposedly the best one that night and we were like 16 yrs old. Anyways, miss ya in MH man. Come back.lol

Agreed. When he left the band, the records didn't sound as powerful. Dave McClain just didn't have the energy that Chris has.
